  1. Save up some extra cash. I was pumped when Stan came to the Pittsburgh Comic Con this spring. I went up to the counter and paid $40 bucks to have my picture taken with him. I asked if he was autographing stuff, and they said yes, for $50 more. That would have left me with about 10 bucks to shop with at the con, so I went with the pic only. Some of the proceeds went to charities and I don't begrudge folks for charging what they think is reasonable (It is Stan-freaking-Lee), but I figured I could always get a signature off of ebay instead. Anyway, the moral is save up and be ready! I had the EXACT same thing happen to me at the Pittsburgh comic-con...only about 15 years ago. It was $100 to stand in line and you get one autograph and one pic maybe. Also, the tickets went on pre-sale, which meant I showed up, asked where to go, they said I had to have a ticket...and those had been sold out since 2 days before convention. Oh well.
  2. That comic is one of my all time favorites with my all time favorite cover. Love your work.
  3. FINALLY, a store in Richmond, VA got Wave 3. Got two Black Widows (I have the 3 figs coming from BBTS so didn't need Skrull or Hawkeye). Also picked up a Cap shirt with build in floaty things for my 2 year old.
  4. BBTS tweeted a link to the Nick Fury MU mail-in figure last night...only $89.00...ughhhhh. I don't blame BBTS for this...I blame Hasbro. Nothing, and I mean nothing, makes me more angry than toy companies releasing key figures as exclusives. I mean, like Hulk angry.
  5. BBTS just got in my BW, Hawkeye, and Skrull. So, pressure is off my search though I would love an another BW. Going to TRU after lunch today.
  6. Ditto, looked everywhere and no signs. Clearly haven't come to my neck of the woods yet.
  7. I am going to have to really start stalking Target's now to get BW before my BBTS order ships so I can cancel.
  8. I am now worried about getting new Joe's for awhile. What a colossal mistake and potential disaster for Hasbro.
  9. Picked up Black Panther light up at lunch, have Black Widow coming in the mail today. Also got 2 Hydra soldiers, one comic colors one movie at TRU. Looks like they are clearing out all the old warehoused Thor and Cap movie stuff, which is great for me so I can up my Hydra army count a little more.
  10. Yeah, called my TRU and they didn't have it either. I ordered BW from TRU.com yesterday. Really like that BW and want BP as well, but willing to take a chance on finding in the store.
  11. Whose head is that? I did a search for that name and found nothing to match.
  12. I also got it at a Kmart going out of business just the other day, along with the Imaginex Batcave for only $30. My 2 and a half year old was sooooo excited to get it. He said, "Oh, it's wonderful!" All sales are final.
  13. RAGE!!!!! I LOVE RAGE!!!!! Back in the 90's I turned an A-Team Mr. T figure into him. Love all this. Great work. Question, what did you use for the Sharon Carter? Was looking to start a custom one very shortly and am looking for good pieces.
  14. Not sure if anyone is still looking for the Guardians of the Galaxy set AND is an Amazon Prime member, but I got it for $14 on Amazon and with my Prime membership free shipping. That seems like the best deal I have found for it. Most other toys on Amazon are overpriced, but this one worked out great.
  15. I really want to do a Dum Dum custom fig in the 3.75 scale, but I am stuggling with one part...the hat. Anyone know of a figure in the scale that has a bowler hat? I am not really talented to magically make my own, so if there is a figure I can borrow from, that would work best. Any thoughts?
  16. I shall keep my chin up and keep checking. GLad to hear they are reaching places.
  17. While this recent burst of old and new figures is, quite frankly, awesome, you know what I am still not finding anywhere in the wild...Wonderman/Quicksilver and Daredevil/Bullseye. Are you guys seeing these in your Targets or are you still facing a whole bunch of Spider-man/Captain Britain peg warmers? I amy just get from BBTS as it is a pretty decent price...but I would still rather buy in wild and save on S&H. Recent purchases: Jim Lee Cyclops, Black Widow, Apocalypse, Archangel, Iron Man, Havok, Gladiator, Storm.
  18. So, finally saw some of Wave 17 in Target around Richmond, VA. And it was the second assortment so I got Archangel as well as Storm. I didn't pick up Havok, but I really liked it. Is the paint scheme new? I feel like I would have gotten it first time if it looked that good. The funny thing is, ran to Target because their online system says they had Wonder Man/Quicksilver...which they did not. Good thing I went to check though so I could get Archangel. I know there is a trick to looking in Target's back end system to know what is REALLY in stock, is that written up somewhere that I can review?
  19. Hmmm...I really hope I find this assortment...considering my closest 4 Targets have not seen even a sniff of Wave 17. I would love an Archangel and might consider Black Widow and Havok. (Already got Psylocke online).
  20. Is anyone still seeing Galactus at their TRU? I had been holding off for a long time because mine had several and then around the holidays they all vanished in favor of a ton of Sentinels.
