  1. Yeah I thought I might since I started with Spider-Man classics a large part of my collection is the compatible waves. I thought I might have been wrong about the X-Men classics Iceman since I only have the Wave 8 one. You have Dragon Man? Awesome! It looks like a great figure, just haven't come across one for a price I can live with lol. Hobgoblin, despite longer legs actually utilizes the same hands, upper body and legs. Just the cape, head/hood, and lower legs are different and the pumpkin bomb. Even their hands that aren't holding pumpkin bombs (I believe the right hand) have the same
  2. Looks like my order shipped, with Cyclops, Stryfe, and two figures that only say Ex Marvel Legends X-Men Ast. Hoping the last two actually turn out to be Storm and Magneto like when I originally ordered them.
  3. The above lists are great. I would personally recommend deciding if you want to go all out and collect every character you can (which is incredibly pricey) or if you want to stick to a certain character ie. collecting Spider-Man and his rogues, or Iron Man suits and rogues. I started as a Spider-Man collector and eventually branched out into an all ML collector. However I'll also weigh in on what I think are the "essentials" of each wave. I'll also include other ML scale lines like Spider-Man, X-Men, and FF Classics since many necessary characters only saw release there. Rather than
  4. Bit the bullet, bought the SDCC set on Ebay and it definitely hurt my wallet, but I had to have Star-Lord, Gladiator, and the new Black Bolt.
  5. Not wanting to spark a fight or anything...but you folks do realize that your "old Toybiz" figures are getting close to being 10 years old right? There is a whole new world and generation of Marvel Legends collectors who don't care that you still have, in your own words, "old" figures. They jump at the chance for new Deadpools, Ms Marvels, Hawkeyes, Thors, Sentry, Black Cat, etc... w/o having to shell out big bucks for old/dated/ugly figures. There are also lots of collectors, like myself, who appreciated the updated figures and cashed in on all my "old" figures. Remakes of dated figures a
  6. That Spidey series looks awesome! Been waiting for a Spider-Girl (May Parker) for a long time, I can finally replace my custom. It would be so easy for Hasbro to make MJ a swap figure to Spider-Girl, still keeping my fingers crossed. Plus the new Hobgoblin looks cool, but the sleeper of the wave is that classic Spidey. The fact that he appears to be on a Superior Spidey mold makes him a definite contender for the definitive Spider-Man figure. Wish they had shown the entire wave, the suspense is killing me!
  7. If you're mainly buying online there are a few places to pick from, but the older figures can be a pain to find. I usually go between Big Bad Toystore, Dorkside Toys, Toy Wiz, Cmd store and some others. Depending on the figure though, Ebay can be the only choice if the figure is too old or rare a lot of these sites tend to be out of stock on older figures.
  8. Super stoked for the Odin BAF, been waiting a long time for that one. Sentry and Scarlet Witch are definite standouts since they needed new figures badly. Not really excited about Machine Man, Hawkeye, or Thor. I'm perfectly fine with the old Toybiz Hawkeye and the Heroic Age Thor. And Captain Marvel, eh, I don't like the new comic or that look, much more excited for the three pack Ms. Marvel. The figures look great but like the Cap wave it just doesn't excite me, despite the killer BAF.
  9. (Looks at Spider-Man Legends photo, geeks out) Please let there be a Mary Jane and Chameleon in this wave.
  10. Yes! Pre-ordered. Wish it was releasing earlier, but this is still so cool!
  11. Bulldozer would be awesome. And of course the rest of the comic Guardians to match Star-Lord, Drax, and Rocket would be perfect. Whether it's a second wave or whatever I really hope we get the rest of the team from DnA's run, or at least Gamora, Groot, Warlock, and Quasar.
  12. WOAH. I hadn't noticed the Nova ML figure for some reason....I just checked it out then and it looks super rad!!! My only beef with the Warpath figure is that it wasn't his original costume. I'm a sucker for the silver/bronze age of Marvel though cause it's what I grew up on I suppose. The only other thing I'm not huge on is the Groot series for Guardian of the Galaxy or whatever? I'm not excited for the movie, so any interest in the ML series is (unfortunately) limited hahahaha. Yeah I love the new Nova figure, I'm a huge fan of the character especially from Annihilation onward
  13. Need MJ for my Spidey collection, other than that, Bulldozer. Maybe Thanos, but the select is quite good. Would like the rest, but can live without.
  14. Thanos (love the MS one, but could use more articulation) Mephisto Sauron Groot (Comic version) Odin Watcher Eternity Oblivion Infinity Ulik
  15. Iceman, Series 8. Although it's fallen down and broken quite a few times I still remember the moment when I opened him and beheld the awesome articulation, paint, and sculpt. Compared to the five inch and smaller figures I'd been collecting this was insanely articulated and much more detailed. From there things got out of control, but I haven't regretted collecting for one minute, except maybe not starting sooner, finding some of the older figures for the right price can be a pain haha, but worth it.
  16. To be honest I'd say they're almost on par with one another, with a slight edge to hasbro. I've been collecting since Series 8 of Toy Biz and despite some of the classics from the Toy Biz era I have replaced older Toy Biz figures with better Hasbro ones (Heroic Age Thor, Puck series Wolverine etc.) There are honestly some figures which Toy Biz did better, Spider-Man, Lizard, Colossus, Sentinel BAF etc, and then there are some that they didn't (Black Cat). The new Carnage, Black Cat, and Nova figures are amazing, even some older figures like Warpath and the Fin Fang Foom BAF were good and I'm
  17. This is so awesome! The Jubilee wave had a great selection but this was the figure I wanted most, so glad it will see the light of day. Just hoping it doesn't turn out to be only a walgreens exclusive, I only have one within driving distance.
  18. There is also a case of 5, I just preordered it, is Dorsidetoys reliable?? I always order from BBTS or TRU, but being and exclusive I don't want to wait. I've dealt with them several times in the past, they are reliable, and fast on the shipping. However, when it's an exclusive wave they will not get them for some time after the retailers that the wave was exclusive to get them. I actually bought most of the wolverine wave off of them, but it was probably a month after it hit the comic shops.
  19. Start small until you know you like the scale. I started simply as a Spider-Man themed collector and have since gotten in to collecting any and all characters that ML puts out. Now is a good time though because of the recent Iron Man, Wolverine, Spider-Man, and Captain America waves putting out great versions of the important characters to start anyone's collection. Legends from the recent relaunch are easy enough to find (for the most part) and that will get your collection going well enough before you tackle some of the hard to find older figures. Welcome aboard!
  20. Can anyone confirm that TRU got their order right? I want to pick up the last two Cap wave figures I need but I'm not sure I trust them to get it right.
  21. Me too, if I ignore the price it is an awesome figure, plus she looks great with the other movie Avengers figures.
  22. Mary Jane (every spidey collector needs one) Spider-Girl (May Parker) Darkdevil Stegron Moon Knight (armored) Chameleon Starlord (DnA's GotG comic version) Hybrid Prowler Gamora (DnA's GotG) Bug (DnA's GotG) Mantis (DnA's GotG) Jack Flag (DnA's GotG) Major Victory (DnA's GotG) Phyla Vel (DnA's GotG) Quasar and Martyr variants Adam Warlock (DnA's GotG) Magus variant Scorn Aracely/Hummingbird (from Scarlet Spider because Kaine is awesome) Modern Gambit Scarlet Witch (redo) BAFs Thanos Mephisto Groot (DnA's GotG) Notice a GotG theme? Can't help it the Abnett and Lanning book is a stellar read.
  23. Cool idea, they've released a lot of these as singles so it wouldn't be too hard for them to just do a multi-pack. I'd definitely pick a pack up of each of these.
