  1. If this were true I'd personally hope that Scarlet Spider is Kaine on a better body than the previous release. Although I'd imagine it will probably be the new Ben Reilly costume (that lasted two issues).
  2. I agree, especially on the new Iron Man armor point. As for Thanos, I'm by no means against it, just a bit disappointed. If the story/movie is as good as it looks, I doubt I'll care much what the costume was like at the end.
  3. Good poll! This is a very difficult one to decide between. For me only a couple of these have been "must haves" where I went and actually purchased the whole set. So I guess I will rank them with short explanations to hopefully clear this up. 1. The Thanos Imperative, for me this was the most exciting SDCC set since it was all kinds of Cosmic Marvel goodness from the DnA era, the fact that it has seen three of the figures go on to mass release kind of bothers me (including the upcoming Black Bolt and Medusa figures with their alterations) but it's the set I was most hyped for. 2. Book of the Vishanti, at first I really didn't like this set but I went on to cherry pick this one and ended up with most of the set by the end. It was a really cool niche set, but like Thanos Imperative it bothers me that most of the set saw some kind of mass release. 3. Uncanny X-Force, this was the first SDCC set I went for and I have always had a soft spot for Rick Remender's run on Uncanny X-Force so it was a win, especially since it released 3/5 of the team in one go. However the small size keeps it lower on this list than the other two. 4. Thunderbolts, This was another set I wasn't real crazy for at first but I ended up cherry picking this one and overtime ended up with everyone but Crossbones, since I still had the original, What keeps this set so high on the list for me is the fact that the figures are still very exclusive, with only Crossbones and Luke Cage seeing any sort of additional release, both figures are still somewhat limited. 5. The Raft, Some great figures in this set, especially Purple Man and Enchantress, it comes in solidly at number 5 since even though it's the largest set with six figures, two of which are build a figures, it is also the one with the most re-releases in the same year as it's release, four in total. 6. Battle for Asgard, I think this was another attempt to capture what the Book of Vishanti did, but for me it just doesn't reach the same level of cool. Putting both Malekith and Ulik in this set is also kind of a low blow since unlike Vishanti I'd argue these two are more integral to your Thor/Avengers set up than any of the Vishanti figures, especially since Dormammu got a re-release. Plus with Jane and Young Thor in the Ragnarok wave there's not much need for a second Jane or an Odinson. Bor is cool, but he's just a bit too obscure to save the set. 7. Ant-Man, kind of a small set and not really essential to the collection, it probably works better as a MU set than a ML set. Goliath it a possible plus side for the ML side, but the Giant Man is too small and doesn't share costumes with older one for a believable transformation display. 8. Thor, a great figure, but the powered down ML Terrax series one suits me better, and to be honest a single figure set seems so lacking with all the great box sets we've gotten for exclusives since then. So unfortunately the figure that started the Return of ML revolution gets last place.
  4. I guess after seeing him in Guardians and the Avengers 1 and 2 post credits scenes I'm more than a little disappointed that he won't be sporting the armor that was at least similar in some ways to his classic garb. I'm hoping the new costume only lasts for a brief time and not the whole movie.
  5. Snagged a gladiator Thor at Walmart today, only had him and a Loki, so little by little it's getting closer to a better haul.
  6. Did you manage to preorder Human Torch somewhere? Or just a bit of inside info? It's out overseas. Kapow Toys has them up for order and a reviewer I follow did an unboxing video yesterday. Cool, that's great news! yes but kapow doesn't deliver to the US anymore. great thing for the europeans who never can get any legends in store................ever. Makes sense, I was more or less excited because it probably means Torch will start showing up within the next month or two, my local Walgreens is usually behind on getting new MLs.
  7. Got my Dark Phoenix 2 pack yesterday, and it was pretty much worth the ebay mark up. It's a great set, and I think I'll hunt for another one since the normal Jean head (maybe a repainted Moonstone one?) would work great for Black Widow whether its the old one, the upcoming ones, or a custom.
  8. From what I've gathered it hasn't been confirmed either way. Most are predicting they will hit stores later this year. It's frustrating though, since it's an in demand set. Thanks for the answer. I was wanting to get Sif but looks like I missed out on her. I missed out the first time (and today apparently) as well, Sif's the only one I'm really interested in.

  12. It really is a major problem. If it hadn't been an exclusive I wouldn't have even entertained the thought. But there's only one TRU in reasonable driving distance from my home, and they have been swimming with the Iron Man Drone 2 pack for the last month now, and have only managed to get one case of MJ/Spidey 2 pack, so I figure I'll recoup some of the cost in saved gas and wear and tear on my car.
  13. Finally bit the bullet on the Dark Phoenix 2 pack. I'd been haunting ebay for awhile, hoping that TRU would restock online before it came to this while of course visiting the local TRU at least once a week for the last month. Needless to say scalpers are just terrible, the wallet will be feeling this one.
  14. Good shout! Overdrive would be perfect for this setup as well. That would complete the sinister foes Yes! I'd completely forgotten about Overdrive, I'm down for him too!
  15. Continuing the cherry picking trend I did manage to get Sif from the A-Force boxset. Another great figure, Hasbro is really killing it this year!
  16. I have been waiting for Target to put theirs out and been walking in right when they open to check. They finally put them out yesterday morning and no Hela or Loki on the shelf. They had everyone else. I scored Loki at a Walgreens but so far no Hela anywhere, I am guessing an employee must have set her off to the side at Target. No big deal though. I am still checking Walmarts like crazy. That's dedication there, things have been busy otherwise I'd probably be doing the same thing. Hela does seem to be the tough one of the wave though.
  17. So my local TRU never has Legends in stock on the street date. I figured I'd give them a few days and check in, well I guess I was wrong, because they had two pegs with one MCU Loki hanging out, not another Thor figure to be found, can't seem to win with this one.
  18. These are some great ideas so far. I only have one to add, the Spider-Man villain Big Wheel...yes he's ridiculous but this is the perfect (and probably only) time to get him made.
  19. Foregoing the HTS mayhem this year, just cherry picking Battle for Asgard set. Malekith and Ulik came in today, and they are excellent figures, it's kind of a shame that such major Thor villains aren't at this time seeing standard release.
  20. I agree, I also have Deadpool fatigue. But he is as you said a necessary evil, if he brings more waves of X-themed characters I can handle more DP.
  21. Thor Ragnarok wave is shipping from BBTS. Loki arrived today, probably the only one I really want from this wave. But it's a great figure!
  22. I haven't seen it in the store yet. I even checked at the store I picked it up at that day, nothing.
  23. Managed to get a hold of a second Adam Warlock yesterday to display as the Magus full time! I was so pumped, it was funny because the employee at FYE asked me where I had found that, with a hint of perhaps disappointment. I don't always hunt at FYE for ML but they do sometimes have some of the rare ones on the pegs if you get lucky, I guess lower traffic than most other collectibles spots.
