  1. The pictures at SDCC of the Goblin BAF showed him on the Avengers Hulk base body as well.
  2. This was a fun project for a fellow fwoosher "GUTS_2010". He asked me to use Discogod's Ankle Rocker tutorial to modify and shorten his MS Colossus to make him fit in better scale with Marvel Legends figures, and also modify and make the two ML Colossus heads interchangeable. I did have to use some apoxie sculpt to build up the back of the ML heads, and then I painted Series 5 Colossus head to match. The only problem is that I'm going to have to do this to my MS Colossus now :) Colossus Here is a work in progress picture to show how much he was shortened.
  3. A while back I purchased a Hasbro Marvel Legends Black Knight off of eBay, and I was disappointing in it's condition when I received it. The Auction had a bad picture, and I couldn't really make out the condition from the photo. The paint was really worn and the sword was actually chewed up on the end of it. So I decided to give the Black Knight a little repair job and upgrade. I cracked the body apart, and modded the torso to accept Aquaman's shoulders and arms. I modded the Aquaman forearms to attach the Black Knight gauntlets which still retains the twist articulation. For the lower body I used a DCSH Superman waist, DCUC Copperhead upper legs, DCUC Golden Pharaoh lower legs, and DCUC Cyborg feet. I used my Dremel to smooth out the teeth marks on the sword, and used putty to fill in the nick's in the sword that were missing. Then finally I gave him a full paint job. Let me know what you all think. Black Knight
  4. Black Widow I missed out on getting the two pack Black Widow, so I decided to make my own. She is a pretty simple recipe: the base figure is a ROML Mystique, a casting of the two pack Widows head, and Series 8 Black Widow's Belt and Bracers I also use the head for an alternate with X3 Jean Grey's hair. I also modified the feet to add Revoltech joints to give her ankle pivots. Now she can stand flat footed on the ground. Then I finished her up with a complete paint job.
  5. Nice I love them... and they make me sad too :( I hate that they canceled that really well done show, and replaced it with the new crappy one.
  6. I recently went back and touched up the paint on my original Black Panther custom, and I also I did a little dry brushing on the new ROML Black Panther to help make a better transition between the blue and black areas.
  7. Here is another little quickie custom I did while working on some other projects. First I swapped out the original coils with some bendy coils from a McFarlane Creech figure. Then I modified his feet by cutting out the factory pegs and drilling them out to accept some Revoltech joints that I painted orange to match. Now I have a Constrictor with ankle pivots and poseable coils. Constrictor http://www.rife-family.com/sjrife/customs/Constrictor-06.jpg
  8. I'm kind of in neutral for now on my Hulks while I'm still trying to get all the parts that I need for them, so that finally got me to get back to work on my Gladiator figure. So far he has a DCUC Jemm torso and shoulders, Martian Manhunter biceps, WWE forearms and fist, Superman belt, ML Mr. Sinister lower body. For the head I'm using a ROML Drax with the Mohawk from a DCUC Omac, and I sculpted the rest of the hair. I smoothed the sculpted lines on the Sinister thighs and modified the waist. The main thing left on the body is the triangle logo on his chest. Then I can sort out what to do about his cape. Here are a couple of the Hulk figures that I'm working that I mentioned.
  9. Next up is Adam Warlock. Adam is a pretty simple custom. Mostly some simple parts swapping and a little paint, but I think he turned out pretty good :) Recipe: Marvel Legends Adam Warlock head, cape, staff, and hands. Power Ring upper torso, lower torso, right forearm, and shins. Johnny Quick biceps & upper legs. Superman feet. Dr. Midnight left forearm. Adam Warlock
  10. Sorry he is part of my personal collection And thank you... On the ML Series 2 Thing mid torso I was able to use a knife at the seam and pop it open. Thunder Launch Thing was a little tougher I had to drill holes at the seams and use a small screwdriver to pry open the torso. I also want to give a thank you to GrownNerd for the inspiration for this Thing as well. His Thing was what made me want to make this figure.
  11. I always thought that the Marvel Legends Black Panther was too short and I found and easy solution. I swapped out his shoulders, thighs, knees, and upper calves with ML Iron Fist's parts. Now He is around the same height as a standard DCUC figure.
  12. Hello everyone. This was my very first custom action figure and the start to a new addiction :) After looking at all the great customs that I saw everyone making it inspired me to try my hand at it. Before all I've ever worked on was kitbashing Transformers building model cars this was my first attempt at customizing an action figure. Now that I have improved my painting skills I may end up going back and update the paint in the Thing after I get caught up on my other custom projects. The Recipe isn't anything new: Head, upper, and mid torso ML Series 2 Thing, Arms, Legs, and Waist Thunder Launch Thing.
  13. This was a fun project. I started it around the same time as my Cyclops, but Angel took a little longer to complete due to grafting ML Angel's wings onto the DCUC body. The Recipe is shoulders, mid and upper torso, and feet from DCUC wave 7 Blue Beetle, waist and legs DCUC Black Hand, hands DCUC blue camo suit Aquaman, biceps and forearms DCUC Eclipso, and finally head and wings from ML Angel.
  14. This is one of my first custom figures, and still one of my favorites thus far. I've always liked the Astonishing Cyclops costume, but didn't like how small the HML Astonishing Cyclops was, so I tried to make one myself. The main torso is a DCUC Black Hand with the black lantern symbol removed and the cape peg hole filled in, and the Black Hand torso came in handy with painting the gold lines on Cyclops' costume. The waist, belt and upper legs are from a DCUC Jemm, and the lower legs are from DCUC Blue Beetle. The head and the feet from ML Series 10 Cyclops. Another good thing about the Black Hand torso is that the older Marvel Legends biceps like series 10 Angel's fit the Black Hand shoulder pegs perfectly. I did a little sculpting with the bands on the wrist and ankles. After that he was ready for paint. Recipe: Head and feet ML Series 10 Cyclops, Biceps, forearms, and hands ML Series 10 Angel, Shoulders, upper and mid torso DCUC Black hand, Waist, belt, and thighs DCUC Jemm, Shins DCUC wave 7 Blue Beetle. The bands on the wrist and ankles are sculpted.
  15. Here is my DCUC/ML style Silver Surfer. I started with a DCUC Wave 7 Aquaman main body, Eclipso's biceps, and a modded Golden Pharaoh's head and fist. I sanded down the costume lines on the upper legs and waist, and filled in the peg holes for a smooth look, and installed magnets in the feet to stand on the board.
  16. Here is another of my earlier customs Wonder Man. At the time I saw other Wonder Man customs using similar recipes, and I wanted to try and make one myself. The body is a Mattel WWE Brian Pillman, with a DCUC Aquaman head, the wrist bands are small rubber o-rings, and the belt is a rubber band. Then a little paint, and I have a nice Wonder Man for my collection.
  17. Sharon Carter - Agent 13 Sharon Carter in her modern costume. This custom started after hagop hooked me up with come cool fodder and heads, and one of those was a Sharon Carter head. The first thing I noticed when I got the head was how bad the factory paint was on it. For practice I repainted the head, and then put her on the back burner while I was working on other customs. After some time and another trade with tommyboy1972 for a Madame Hydra I now had a base body. After that I bought a Black Widow torso casting from Casting Cave, and then I was finally ready to put Agent 13 together. I used my dremel to grind down all the the joints and pegs to help eliminate any paint rub. I swapped out the forearms and hands with a ROML Hope. Then all that was left was to prime and paint. Let me know what you all think :)
  18. I don't think the bar has been lowered, but there is a size limit to regular 6" figure. I want a Hulk at least the size of DCUC Kilowog, so he would have to be a BAF to be that large :hulk: Oh and yeah new Marvel vs. Capcom sets would be cool.
  19. Same here that's why I listed so many Villains. I listed them before, but I would love for them to make the U-Foes. Oh perfect idea for a wave since we are getting two members of the Wrecking Crew (Piledriver & Thunderball) make a wave with Bulldozer, Wrecker, Vapor, Vector, X-Ray with Ironclad being the BAF :hulk:
  20. I would love to see new BAFs of these characters at least the size of DCUC Kilowog. - The Incredible Hulk - Red Hulk - A-Bomb - Abomination - Ironclad - Thanos - Bi-Beast - Madman - Maestro - Ajax Standard BAFs - The Thing - Korg - Juggernaut Colossus - Strong Guy - Rhino - Armageddon - Lockjaw - Destroyer - Volstagg - Trauma 6" figures: - Vector - Vapor - X-Ray - Gladiator - A better Silver Surfer - Nova (Frankie Raye) - Firelord - Fallen One - Stardust - Morg - Modern Nova - a better Blackbolt - Medusa - Crystal - Gorgon - Karnak - Enchantres - Sif - Hogun - Fandral - A better Valkyrie - Psylocke - Lyra (Savage She-Hulk) - Thundra - Red She-Hulk - A better Jen/She-Hulk - Modern Namor - Modern Doctor Strange - Dormammu - Umar - Ms. Marvel - Magneto - X-23 - Modern Storm - Modern Luke Cage - Modern Iron Fist - Modern Rogue - Ultron - Blackheart - Blackout - Deathwatch - Lilith - Madcap - Mephisto - Scarecrow - Zadkiel - Zarathos - Tyrannus - Super-Skrull - Moonstone - Grey Gargoyle
