  1. Not sure what MI-13 is (super-selective in my comic buying), but I'm always up for a comic based 5-pack. An Excalibur set would score extra points from me just because the classic team is the perfect mix of favorites and wants. Plus, the MCU collectors got their treat with the Children of Thanos . . . it's OUR turn now. BTW: If this set IS 150 bucks, that translates into 30 bucks per figure. At that rate, they better go ALL OUT on the accessories. I'm a fan-boy, but I'm NOT easy.
  2. I don't see why not. I mean sure, the GOTG set was a no-brainer, but look at A-Force or Alpha Flight. Crap, at the time Alpha Flight got their set, their name had already been given to a totally different organization in the comics. And yet, there was plenty of demand for those.
  3. I'm all for an Excalibur set! It's been a minute since Hasbro did a really good box set, and their overdue. Plus, I really want a Meggan figure.
  4. Now wait, I KNOW they already did a Maximum Carnage . . . or am I thinking of something else? Or is this another Heroes Reborn situation.
  5. Decided to hit up Amazon again for Retro Black Cat. I could've opted for a 22 dollar one from one Amazon's associate sellers, that would've gotten here Thursday. Instead I decided "What the H#!!," and went for the 29 dollar one which'll come tomorrow. I had a little extra cash, and I'll probably be able to make back most of the tab selling my Goblin Series Cat on Ebay. And of course, this IS Amazon. Chances are they'll screw up and I'll end up with more courtesy cash anyway.
  6. It's gonna take a while, that's for sure. We've seen a lot of anxiety, fear and paranoia build up over the last year. It takes a minute for something like that to play out.
  7. Pre-Ordered most of the Bad Guys wave and House' Magneto on Amazon. They apparently don't have Scientist Supreme, and since Chippendale's Doom doesn't come with a BAF piece, I don't need another (Retro Doom is just fine).
  8. I think they're doing to good a job with Walker. His first seen, I actually got to like the guy. I hope they're not setting the stage for a big twist or turn around, cause that would suck. I know he can't stay Cap, just don't make him a bad guy . . . or a d--k.
  9. Depends on the figures really. The T'Challa Star-Lord is a given, which gets a rousing "meh" from me. If they do a Super-Peggy I'm there. Anything else is a wait and see. For the most part, I'm just not that enthused where What If is concerned.
  10. Whoops, brain-fart, I didn't even think about FalCap. So we have four missing then: Loki, Scarlet Witch, Vision, and Sam. By missing, of course, I mean packaged images including BAF pieces. BTW: Just watched today's F&WS, and dang it, now I wanna Battlestar figure. Maybe with Agatha and Sharon in a Wave 2?
  11. Don't know if we can make that call yet since all we see are LITERALLY just bits and pieces, so I'll still hold out hope.
  12. Just tabling the Wing-Thing for a minute, does Winter Soldier look weird to anybody else? It could just be distortion from the packaging, but his head seems huge. It makes him look like a ten year-old.
  13. I can live with the Build-a-Wings IF they incorporate some of the functionality we see in the movies and show: bullet shields etc.
  14. As if on cue, another Amazon order hits a snag. The House of X Cyclops and Prof. X I ordered this morning, ONLY because they would arrive tomorrow, now it seems SHOULD arrive Friday. Delayed At the Carrier (AGAIN!?!) Every Bloody Time . . . As usual, they handed me a another $5 "Sorry We FUBARed Your Order" certificate. I swear, who needs stimulus when your preferred e-tailer has an in-house shipping service that can't read a @#$%ing map?
  15. Makes since to me. I know it's not exactly the same thing, but when an Amazon shipment is late they give me cash vouchers for their sight.
  16. Now that you mention it . . . Hey, how weird would it be if, instead of the big bruiser type, Walker were portrayed as some obnoxious pencil neck ala Bruno Kirby as Lt. Hauk in Good Morning Vietnam?
  17. Whoah! Keep in mind, streaming isn't some beautiful new source of revenue studios can replace theaters with. It's part of a much larger equation. Theatrical run + merchandising + foreign sales + streaming + home video + product placement, etc., etc. You can't just drop one and make up for it with another. Plus, I don't think you realize how much revenue a theatrical run generates.
  18. Not really something I'd buy, but I'm happy to see SOMEONE remembers who toys should be made for. I wish 'em all the success in the world.
  19. No, this is a long, but temporary, dry-spell that the studios are trying to survive by tapping the consumer a little heavier. It's not the "New Normal," or the "Future." It's just the way things are right now.
  20. Oookay. ScarJo is just cute as a button, but 30 bucks to catch her on Disney+? Sure, I'd spend 30 bucks to see it in the theaters, but at least that includes popcorn, Raisenettes, and a coke big enough to sail home in. Yeah, no. I'll probably wait and pick it up on Blu-Ray for $20, or more likely, wait a couple months and catch it on D+ for free.
  21. I will be VERY surprised if this does not happen, and soon. I see an easy redeco of the 80th Cap. figure in U.S.Agent colors. And that would be just fine with me.
  22. Another potential wrinkle to "Blind-Box Buying" I've been thinking of is that some stores, like Walmart, won't accept returns on electronics that have been opened. I wonder how long it would be before they enacted a similar policy for action figures in enclosed packaging.
  23. There's a little rough spot in your logic. While I'm not as gung-ho as some, I do consider myself a serious collector. That being said, even I have a problem with the concept of dropping 23 bucks for a sight unseen action figure.
