  1. Nice to see the wonderful 3.75" Marvel announcements at NYCC I found the Vonner figure from the Jurassic World line today. I left Zia because holy balls did they flub up with her face. The actress in the movie is kind of geeky cute, but this figure looks like Velma's shovel-faced love child with Sloth from The Goonies.
  2. Well, my Spidey/Mr Negative set came in on Friday. Went to pick it up and guess what? They had 2 Ryu/Widow sets, no Spidey. Their system showed they had 1 Spidey set and zero Ryus. I needed an extra Ryu anyway, so I bought both and the manager told me he'd re-order and contact the warehouse to correct my pre-order. I see from other forums that pretty much everyone had the same experience. Fast forward to today and my pre-order really did show up. Got home to crack it open and found out that...drum roll....Mr Negative has two left upper arms and his left arm past the elbow is actually a right arm and vice versa. Hasbro and Gamestop...get it together guys. And after this whole adventure I still have to find a Collector/Civil Warrior set. Way to go out with a bang Hasbro.
  3. So the Spidey set isn't a Gamestop exclusive? Between this and the recent TVC Island Rey debacle, Hasbro really needs to stop 3.75" exclusives until they can sort themselves out. And thanks ddhawkins. I assumed eBay but didn't know.
  4. I have no idea. Hasbro had these out at SDCC, but I haven't seen anyone mention them being exclusives anywhere. I just assumed they'd hit Gamestop too seeing how Ddhawkins found them sold together on eBay. At this point, I wouldn't be surprised to hear that Hasbro doesn't even know where they'll end up
  5. Does this mean that all 3 sets are being released at the same time? Gamestop only has the Spider-Man/Mr Negative set in their system so far.
  6. My Aphra showed up today, undamaged. I saw some horror stories on SW collector sites, specifically with the Kylo/Rey set. I almost don't want to open this because the foil make the set look really nice.
  7. Everything is still in stock. Is this a record? Even the Magic cards haven't gone yet. *edit* Spoke too soon. They're gone now
  8. Got my confirmation email (12:16 for easy reference next year). The email starts with "The fun is about to begin". Cheeky bastards.
  9. I was about to say the say thing Yodaminch. At least there's some kind of work around and they're not 100% incompetent...
  10. I'm guessing noon-ish to give west coasters a chance. I can't remember what time they went up last year. *edit* Looks like I got my confirmation email last year at 2:14.
  11. Weird. The page I'm looking at has Optimus, MLP, and Chewbacca. I'm looking at "Exclusives". When I search "SDCC" the cards come up. *edit* Now both pages are showing the cards.
  12. Nothing yet. I didn't see the need to make a thread this year seeing as how they didn't feel the need to make an exclusive. I'm trying for the Aphra set. Good luck everybody.
  13. There's a survey posted over on The Fwoosh for 6" collectors. It's mostly about packaging and sacrificing BAF pieces, accessories, or face sculpts instead of a $5 price hike. It's interesting to see this has gotten a lot of 6" fans worried and deciding to cherry pick. Many of us have speculated that the pendulum would eventually swing back in our direction. Could this be the start? If they really do raise prices by $5 and cut accessories or BAF pieces, it could hurt Legends. If that line starts to tank (and it already pegwarms), then we could finally see a resurgence as a cheaper option to please retailers. Wishful thinking or not, it's hilarious to see a lot of these guys getting upset at the price hike and loss of quality or extras when we have been through all of that and more and they constantly griped when we got anything they didn't have yet.
  14. At the risk of giving them ideas for the 6" line, I'd love to see a 3.75" box set (probably best at SDCC) that's a Best of MCU Directors. Gunn, Whedon, Waititi, Favreau, and Feige. Favreau could be repacked as Happy later on in a 2 pack with an Iron Man.
  15. Are Malcolm's glasses removable? If you make a Grandmaster be sure to post some pics. Maybe it'll inspire people to do the same and that will relieve the pegs of all the extra Snokes. It would be awesome if they stick Vonner on the DC team. I'm still bitter that the Multiverse line became 6".
  16. So we may not be getting much from Hasbro these days, but look who is getting a figure from Mattel: I know they used his face for the unmasked cyborg War Machine from the IM2 line, but I think this is the first actual David Vonner action figure. I will for sure be buying an extra for my Marvel shelves. On a somewhat related note, I know we'd all buy 3.75" Stan Lee figures by the case, but would anyone else here like a Kevin Feige? I feel like it'd be cool to have him with my MCU group shot.
  17. This is kind of infuriating, but I really don't know what I expected here. Legends already has not one, but TWO Kingpin figures and now they get a third one before we can get one? Not even a half-assed 5 poa figure? That Genis-Vell has been on my wishlist for quite a while, so of course 6" gets him first. It's bizarre reading some of the reactions from Legends collectors across the web. Opinions seem split between this being the best SDCC ever and the worst. I'd have loved to have even a mediocre showing for our line, but nope, nothing. I guess I'll pick up the vintage Wasp and Ant-Man because they could technically just be giant-size versions next to MU figures. Man, a lackluster showing for 3.75" Star Wars and World of Nintendo, zero news for the 3.75" Marvel line, James Gunn is fired from GotG 3 (and either a closeted pedo or a terrible comedian), Jurassic Park's 3.75" line is seemingly abandoned for 6", dogs and cats living together...mass hysteria. Eesh. What a terrible Comic-Con.
  18. My TRU has started pulling a bunch of stuff from the back. I hit the jackpot when some of my K-Marts closed. I'm talking '08 and '09 Star Wars Legacy BAD figures for $ a pop and MU figures from the first 3 waves for about that same price. No luck this time around though. Crossing my fingers that I can snag an AT-ACT or two for sub $50, but they'll probably be gone long before then.
  19. Was out of town visiting some friends and stopped by a comic shop on the way home. They had both movie Sabretooths (regular and the Walmart exclusive) carded for $10 and $12 respectively. I missed them back in the day and they definitely aren't that cheap on the secondary market now. Now I just need that 2-pack with the shirtless Colossus.
  20. I guess those *remotely* resemble a vehicle! ;) They look really cool with Avengers posed fighting them. And they seem like something that could have been in the comics. To be honest, I'm actually a little disappointed that Playmation fizzled out. I had no interest in the interactive aspect, but MODOK was nice. I wouldn't have minded a few more releases like that. Now that the X-Men are back home, we could have seen some cool Sentinel designs if this line lasting long enough.
  21. If anyone wants one of the Ultron Prowler Bots from the Playmation line, they're currently on sale for a buck at TRU. I grabbed a few (or 6) for dioramas. I don't recognize them from any of the comics, but they look cool and this line is starved for anything even remotely resembling a vehicle.
  22. If I ever have the room to set up my Fallout settlement diorama again, I definitely need one for my wasteland Doctor's office. They're showing up at TRU and Walmart right now. $1.98 at WM is really hard to beat. @NorrinRadd, yes to the Mad Love scene. I hadn't even thought of that. We really do need BTAS figures in this scale.
