3 3/4" sighting and hauls

The Vulture wave never really hit TRU or WM. It was seemingly online-only until they started showing up at Gamestop. Every Gamestop I've been to has had that wave, and many have them on clearance. I'd check there. -

Got my Vault set today. Haven't opened it, but the packaging is very nice and the figures look really cool in the display window. Also got Muppets Select wave 2. That balcony is a beast. It takes up the whole package (and they use the normal Select packaging) and it still needs to be assembled. I felt slightly ripped off buying the wave 1 Gonzo/Camilla set because it was very bare bones, but Statler and Waldorf totally make up for it. -

Scored the deluxe MCU Falcon at TRU today. I also found those new 5" GoTG figures. It's disappointing that they aren't 3.75" because they could fill in for actual movie figures. I got Groot and Rocket though. Groot is in scale with MU and Rocket is fudgeable. -

I had no idea that was coming out. You made my day! No problem! It's a pretty sweet line. I'm hoping we can get a Swedish Chef with a bunch of talking veggies before the line is finished. -

You could skip Gamora and get the comic pack with white trim Star-Lord. It actually works out cheaper per figure. -

My Muppets Select wave 2 pre-order is processing now at BBTS. I'm hoping that Statler and Waldorf's balcony has a peg hole so I can hang it over my other figures and have them heckling the Avengers. -

Oh and If you need Deathlok, the Gainsville, VA Five Below had dozens. It's like all the Deathloks they made went straight to that one store. -

If they were missing Morbius and Kitty Pryde, than yeah that was probably the one I stopped at. -

It was at a Target off of I-81 in Virginia. I'm not from the area, but someone here probably knows where I'm talking about. They had a full case just sitting there on the pegs. -

I've been gone for a week staying in DC with some relatives and got back last night. I took the opportunity to do some hunting and found a Legends Kitty Pryde (for the Onslaught head) and a 3.75" Morbius at Target. I found the new wave of Star Wars Black Series 3.75" at almost every Walmart I went to so I finally scored a Phasma. But my coolest haul by far came from the Gettysburg gift shop. My girlfriend had never been to the battlefield before so we did the whole thing and stopped by the gift shop for something to drink. I was looking at the books and found a series of comics illustrating the various Civil War battles published by Marvel. There are 4 volumes (Bull Run, Shiloh, Antietam, and Gettysburg) and they are about as thick as the issues of JLA/Avengers, so they are more like micro graphic novels. I had never heard about them, but they are pretty cool. -

Hopefully that's the gold Ultron that got scrapped. I'm trying really hard to be optimistic and positive right now. Hasbro, please don't make me eat my words. I'm already chubby enough. -

No hints or riddles? Come on...pretty please? Isn't that a hint? Repacks and repaints mostly, possibly new versions of less obscure characters, like Vision. Two new characters. Hopefully one is Skurge (after years of tease, is he "new"?). But existing characters? A new Captain America, being the Secret War version or the new costume. There has to be a Wolverine before too long - a modern costume, Old Man Logan, or even the X-23 version could pop up ("Wolverine" is probably the only word in the inventory system). We haven't had a Thor in a while - maybe a straight up new one on the new buck, or one of the many seen in the Secret Wars Thor Corps. Another version of Deadpool. A Wasp repaint would be awesome. A simple listing of "Hawkeye" could end up being Kate Bishop. A Luke Cage (modern) reissue would be timely, or one on the Rage buck with a yellow t-shirt. How about Mystique in a modern costume? That is just repainting the new female body. A new Magneto? The Supreme Hyperion made me think of that. And use the Quasar cape. Yeah, I could take a boring-looking list of names and run with it. Fair point, though I hope they are mostly new costumes and not just repacks. There are so many different costumes and looks for the characters we have that Hasbro could fill several waves with just alternate costumes. -

I expected as much. Anything new in the basic line? Can we expect another round of hints this year? -

Sorry for the double post, but I had a pretty cool haul today. Snagged the original wave 1 Punisher for $10 at an LCS, which filled one of the last holes in my collection. Found the Howard the Duck Minimates set at a different LCS. Ollie's has The Good Dinosaur figures for cheap, so I grabbed Thunderclap for $5.99. 2nd and Charles had two of the Tomorrowland Reaction figures that I needed (Young Frank and Athena). TRU had new Toy Story figures that I'd never seen announced (Happy meal Buzz and Zurg from "Small Fry" and Angel Kitty/Raygon from "Toy Story That Time Forgot". Finally, that TRU also had a 2" Samus from World of Nintendo. Another rare one crossed off my list. -

We'll see what happens at SDCC. If they only show off the Guardians comic packs and don't mention any more, than I think it's safe to assume these are done. The Spidey set surprised me. Kaine is pretty bland looking on that awful body, but Spidey doesn't look as bad. This buck seems to be better for characters with lots of detailing to hide the wonky proportions. One weird thing is that they seem to have used two different types of plastic for Kaine and Spidey. Kaine has the softer, gummier plastic that we've been seeing a lot of lately, while Pete is made of a harder, more brittle-feeling plastic. -

@DdHawkins and PushYouDown: Thanks. I may snag one. I need a spare. I found the new comic packs tonight. Captain Marvels and Spider-Men at Marshall's and the Hyperions at TJ Maxx. I'm happy I didn't have to pay shipping and the markup from BBTS or the full $20 at TRU/WM, but I really am worried that the comic packs are already dead. The first wave has been selling fairly well in my area. These really shouldn't be at closeout stores yet. -

How much are those sets going for on eBay? Depending on the price, it might be worth it for Dogpool and the weapons. -

Pre-orders just went up on BBTS. There is no third pack. They repacked the Thors instead. -

Between the awesome sculpt and a perfect paint job (seriously, NO sloppy paint anywhere on mine) Hasbro really did a good job with T'Challa. I wish he had peg holes in his feet, but otherwise they did a good job.
