  1. Had a weird but cool find tonight. I stopped by a gas station for some drinks before the Sunday cutoff and saw that Deadpool is now on MIke's Hard Lemonade cans. I'm surprised that there wasn't something in the contract forbidding Fox from using Marvel characters on alcoholic beverages. I've been collecting the soda cans with Marvel characters on them since the Dr Pepper ones for IM2 so this is a nice addition (though a bit oversized) to my collection.
  2. Thanks. Glad to see that IM at has least some difference from the IM2 single release.
  3. I posted this in another thread, but it really bears repeating: I've said this before, but all USA collectors should bite the bullet and consider this an online-only toyline. It sucks and it's not ideal, but it seems to be the only way to guarantee you get the figures. Waiting for HTS is a gamble. They may sell out before you can order or they may not even put them up. Stores like BBTS, EE, and Dorkside seem to be the safest way to go. Don't like shipping costs? Tough. I guess you have to do without. Hell, it's cheaper to buy a set online and pay shipping and a slight markup than it is to drive around from store to store and constantly leave empty-handed. I don't mean to be rude, but I see a lot of posts about people not finding theses in stores and how HTS isn't putting new waves up. Some of us have had these for weeks. You will not find these at normal brick and mortar stores. The past few years have shown that they get the first and maybe the last waves but that's it. If you want these figures, order online (and don't wait for HTS).
  4. They are now officially "Marvel Legends". The packaging shown at NYCC confirms the name change. This will in no way, shape, form, or fashion cause any amount of confusion at retail. Nope, none at all...
  5. Wedge1968 hooked me up with a Vision a few weeks back. Thanks Wedge! Articulation aside, he actually has a decent sculpt. The color scheme looks a little weird compared to the comic version, but he's like that in the movie as well. Only real negative is that the cape billows a little too far out. Still though, he looks amazing in a group shot.
  6. I ordered the Shanna wave online because I figured they'd never show up at retail. Months later, TRU is still restocking the Sandman wave so I think I made the right call. I had a decent Star Wars haul today though. I finally found a decently painted Finn as well as a Snowtrooper and a Flametrooper. Kmart also had a Zeb/Chopper 2-pack hanging around so I finally got to cross Chopper off my list.
  7. Grrrr. Everyone seems to be finding those but me. On that note, has anyone seen the Hawkeye/Falcon TRU set?
  8. Got mine too. They won't ship til Monday or Tuesday though :(. And oh man those Fallout figures are awesome. I wish they'd spread the love to the 1/18th scale.
  9. This is why I order my figure online. The hunt stops being fun when nothing gets restocked. The Mysterio wave in 2013 was the last time I bought a wave at retail.
  10. I'll be picking up MODOK and the Ultron bot for sure. Did you find Super Adaptoid? I haven't seen him yet. If so, how does he look scaled with MU?
  11. I thought about doing that, but I didn't think I'd be able to keep my composure if they got them and sold out before I could get there. Not really sure why DK is pegwarming so hard though. He really turned out pretty well. On the Marvel front, I saw the new MS Hulkbuster at the Disney store. I almost pulled the trigger on him. Does anyone have him? If so, is he fairly sturdy?
  12. You wouldn't happen to live in or near North Carolina would you? I saw 3 today...
  13. It's not Marvel related (not much is anymore) but I hit the freakin jackpot with World of Nintendo today. I was out of state for some stuff and stopped by a random TRU and found a freshly stocked case of the second wave of deluxe figures. I scored Ganondorf and not one, but TWO Metroids. For those of you who don't collect World of Nintendo, what I found was similar to walking into TRU and finding a couple of MU Blades or Visions (well, maybe not Vision...). I honestly never thought I'd find a Metroid at retail and I wasn't about to pay secondary market prices. I'm on cloud nine right now. Now to find that golden Bullet Bill chase figure...
  14. Yeah that new site is pretty bad. My dad worked in the software field for 30+ years and told me horror stories about bosses who would make demands based on what looks flashy and new, even if functionality took a nose dive.
  15. So the new Disney Infinity game launched today and I went to pick up some of the new figures. TRU had a whole wall fully stocked of all the new characters. It's been so long that I've seen FULL pegs of any line that I collect that I had forgotten how awesome it felt. It was almost like being a kid again...
  16. Emma and Chameleon will probably be gone in an instant, but you shouldn't have any trouble with the others.
  17. It's a really crappy situation thanks to retail all but dropping the line. HTS will sell out in minutes, so that's a risky option. Walmart has dropped the line again. Target has 'em for $14 bucks minimum, but they're not really restocking. TRU isn't restocking much either.
  18. Pre-orders are now up on BBTS and they have singles for all 6 figures. Ultron and Kaine are MIA as expected.
  19. So it's not uber-realistic looking, but Pop Vinyl is doing Lola that should be fudgeable into 3.75" scale if the Deadpool truck is anything to go by: http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=FNK12949&mode=retail Now if only we had the Son of Coul himself.
  20. It irks mewhen a piece of computer coding is inexplicably distributed as a rare physical item. Exactly. There's a good excuse when it's a physical item. They have to be manufactured and all that jazz. With this though, the copy of the game I buy will already have the data on the disc, it's just locked forever because I couldn't get to a convention and don't want to feed the scalpers.
  21. Sorry this is off topic, but there's nothing much going on here I and feel like venting. At D23 this weekend they had a presentation for Disney video games, including Disney Infinity. They announced a costume change disc for the Mickey figure that changes him into his Kingdom Hearts costume. It's limited to 5000 and only available at the show. They're already up on evilbay for hundreds of dollars. They said at the show that it will never be released to the general public. Really sucks because I'm a huge Kingdom Hearts fan and I'd been hoping for something like this. I'm now very thankful that HTS offers exclusives after the show, even if they're hard to get. When this is the alternative...eesh.
  22. So for those of you worried about the new Star Wars line, your fears are justified. Pics leaked of a bunch of carded figures and they're all 5 POA. I got out of the SW game in 2010 (after collecting since '95), but I would have snagged Revan...I mean Kylo Ren in a heartbeat. Not now...
  23. I remember when the Strange wave was hitting and all I could find were Astral Strange's. It drove me nuts because I really wanted the plain version more. I only bought one Astral figure, but boy if I knew then what I know now...
