  1. Emma is overdue enough that I can see her selling out quickly everywhere she's available, but I still think she'll be easy enough to get that paying $91 is insane. You think that's insane, she's at 147.50 right now. The next time Hasbro complains about female characters or articulation, tell them to look at what happens when you hold a desired female character for nearly 4 years! For that much, that bidder could just order a case and get 11 more figures...

  3. I'm really hoping for TRU. I've been avoiding Target because they've jacked the prices up on a lot of stuff lately. Walmart would be cool because there are dozens of them in my area, but their exclusives tend to be sporadically distributed.
  4. Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but someone on here posted that the Secret Wars 2-packs are going to be exclusives. We don't know where yet though, so hopefully they'll pop up in your neck of the woods. I know your Targets all closed, but you Canucks have TRU and Walmart right?
  5. I scored the Legends Black Ant from Walgreen's today. Does not disappoint. The orange glow on the helmet and eyes really pop.
  6. Depends. For me, Shanna, Thunderstrike, and Daredevil were worth it and I needed an extra Miles. Vulture is pretty bad and Doc Ock will depend entirely on whether or not you find him too tall or if you already have the Showdown version.
  7. They didn't reduce the articulation on her at all. She has the torso, arms and legs of the X-23 figure (and X-23's belt), and aScarlet Witch's hands and feet. The headsculpt is unique and the hair is a softer rubber. I believe Emma has shown up packaged at toys shows at least once. I think Toyfair 2 years ago? or last 2013 SDCC? We've had several hints in the past indicating that Emma Frost was manufactured a long time ago, back in the MU days, and she has just been waiting on a release, like the other figures in her original 3-pack. I didn't ever feel that there was a risk she would end up shortchanged on articulation. It is a huge relief that they ended up putting her and Northstar in a wave, though. I guess it doesn't make much sense that they wouldn't release those figures, but I believe that is something Hasbro has done in the past with the previous incarnation of Legends? So maybe there was something to that worry. Anyways, If the Taobao figures are castoffs, then the quality of the Emma Frost figures will be excellent, because there's nothing wrong with these figures at all. They're sans capes, but the painting is top-notch. I certainly didn't mean to insult gypsies in the previous post. This johnnyshowcase character has had some kind of bone to pick with me since SDCC, for some reason. But to correct that previous error, I'll say that I don't think the Chameleon figure is worth the money he costs, and that I'm sorry to have cast aspersions on gypsies; it was an unintended consequence of my reliance on unreconstructed language I'd heard many times in the past and not really analyzed. Is the neck ball on Chameleon compatible with other heads? I was looking forward to having a new suit body to go with MIB, Prof X, and Black Mask.
  8. Of course no offense was intended. We just live in an age now were people are chomping at the bit to be offended at anything and everything. Anyway, has preorders gone up yet for wave 3 since we're usually a month out once taobao gets them? Nope. Not yet. Hopefully this week
  9. I used to be an usher when I was in high school. Throwing those people out was pretty entertaining.
  10. Saw it twice this weekend. I was very impressed. I don't want to spoil anything for those that haven't seen it, but the third act has some really amazing visuals.
  11. I don't think any offense was intended. I wasn't aware that it was a slur either.
  12. Awesome news. Ultron can easily be slotted somewhere else and now we don't have to worry about Kaine being a single figure.
  13. I got $150 worth of TPB's from Books a Million today for $40 from their clearance rack. Volume 1 of the original Guardians, volume 1 of Deathlok, volume 1 of Nick Fury from '89, and volume 2 of Peter David's X-Factor.
  14. Not figures, but Marvel related. The new Blu-Rays for Agents of SHIELD and Agent Carter are listed now on Amazon, but they are Amazon exclusives. That's a pretty ominous sign. I know everyone does streaming video or downloads, but I still buy seasons and movies on Blu-Ray. The writing's been on the wall for a while now regarding physical home video's demise, but I refuse to go all digital.
  15. Yup. At this point, it's safer to buy each wave online than to chance retail.
  16. I found the Ant-Man set at TRU today. The ant's legs are insanely loose. On the flipside, the wings require a bit of force to plug them in. Seems like it's all or nothing with Hasbro huh? Scott's not a bad figure. The sculpt is a little weird, almost like the new guy was given this assignment. No wrist joints, and limited hip movement, but he's not bad.
  17. Wave 3 was already out this time last year, so it's a little odd that we haven't even gotten pre-orders up yet. Maybe they are spacing them out because they don't want to repeat last year's mistake of having nothing new post-August?
  18. Well I found Giant-Man today. Gummy plastic joints, but otherwise he's not bad. He fits nicely with MU if you want Hank to be large but not skyscraper large.
  19. At least the line is showing up in new places. That's a bit of a good sign. Picked up the Legends Ant-Man today. I found the wave at 3 different TRU's and all of them had the whole wave minus Giant-Man. Either there are several big Giant-Man fans in my area, or the local scalper finally lost his marbles. Hording Giant-Man but leaving Bulldozer and Tiger Shark? The hell?
  20. Well it's a sign of the apocalypse. All the Walmarts near me are stocking MI now. So far I've only seen last year's wave 2, but I'm hoping wave 3 pops up because I'd like an extra Valkyrie and Ares. I picked up Whirlwind and Red She-Hulk for displays.
  21. That wave was almost entirely non-existant at retail in the US. Great find man.
  22. That's kind of awesome. Can you upload a pic? Hopefully this works: Haha that's pretty funnny. Hopefully you can get a replacement without any hassle.
  23. I saw that. It looks pretty cool. If we don't get an exclusive from Hasbro, I'm going to try for that one.
