  1. LOL! You started your own thread, why post that question here? $125 for those two... I dunno. Are they online where you have to pay extra shipping? Or did you find them at a local store? Regardless, for me personally, that's still a steep price. However, a fully built Nemesis is extremely hard to find now, so $100 for that would be a fair price. I think? The Masked Daken (I'm assuming part of the Arnim Zola line) shouldn't cost $25. Is that with shipping and taxes though? I'm Canadian too... even here in the GTA in Ontario, it's hard to find figures. I have had to order most of mine online from American retailers or Ebay sellers. There is a site specifically for Canadian action figure hunters. If interested, I can send you the link in a private message.
  2. Toys r us has black widows in stock for $21.99, can be shipped to home. Edit: shoot never mind. They were available this morning. False alarm.
  3. I too, prefer the Galactus BAF. As for which one is harder to find... I probably would say Nemesis. But I'm basing this on the type of sets that come up on Ebay. I see Galactus sets or lots come up more often than the Nemesis ones.
  4. Well. Looks like you sold your Psylocke figure. Congratulations, it sold quite well. It seems I'm not the only one who's had their reservations about the figure, though. The lowest I've ever seen that figure sell for on Ebay was $500 ish. And that was for an opened Crimson Dawn, loose. In any case, I'm assuming that was a huge profit for you?
  5. Have you tried going to the Trade forums? Just in case you didn't know, I would advise reading the forum disclaimer, the one that states that they are not responsible for trades going wrong. Bottom line is, even with the feedback system, there are always risks involved. One fraudulent tactic highlighted in the disclaimer is when people provide a tracking number and USPS tracking would claim it's been delivered. But scammers deliberately send it to wrong addresses and get their item sent back. Since USPS stops tracking after it "delivers" an item to a destination, the scammer gets away scot free. I recently came across such a scammer. Thank goodness my transaction was an actual sale and not a trade (therefore, Paypal was able to reverse the sale and give refund), and since I'm Canadian, I was able to provide proof via Canada Post tracking that the item was in fact, sent back to the USA. Standard Lettermail/First Class/ Priority for USPS have standard tracking. Since you are new, I would recommend: - UPS tracking- I HATE UPS, but if you are new and in doubt, it'd probably best to use their tracking as it's more accurate. - USPS more expensive options- such as signature confirmation? - Conduct actual sales with the other person via paypal. That is, send payment as merchandise, and have the other person send payment as merchandise to you as well.
  6. Here. The chest area. All the ones I've seen online (from marvellegends.net, toyark, etc.) as well as the one from the video show a fully covered chest area. NOT the one that maintains the original blue Psylocke's hourglass lining. Compare the red circle area to yours. Also, have you asked at the rare forum yet?
  7. Unboxing a Marvel Legends Crimson Dawn Psylocke: All the photos I've seen, as well as what's depicted in this unboxing, show that CD Psylocke does not have the hourglass lining above her bosom. Most of her chest should be covered. The eyelashes are also overdone. The x symbol can come out well too depending on a customizers skill. I'll show you some good examples later (but it is as easy as looking online). I also found my custom CD Psylocke and her x symbol is also well done. Will post photo later. There are some rare collectors here (and I believe they frequent the rare forum, but I forgot what it was called). Best to have them verify its authenticity, but I reckon a hands on verification is always more accurate. But as for me, I wouldn't regard this as real. The chest area is provably the biggest red flag. Even my custom doesn't maintain the hourglass shape. But maybe one of the rare collectors will say differently.
  8. Hmm. It's hard to say. I don't have a "real" one per se. But when comparing your photos to this: http://marvellegends.info/legendspics/series14/psylocke/crimsonDawnPsylocke%20(4).JPG - It might seem your figure has a shiny sheen. Could be custom painted... Then again, it could just be the lighting and flash? Generally speaking though, the finish shouldn't be too glossy. - Psylocke's garter should extend all the way around the ball joint. Yours kind of ends before the ball joint's end. - the torso area- notice the difference in shape? The black should cover most of her chest. Yours kinda has a distinct hourglass shape. - there are black paint smudges on your figure's chest, as well as on the inside of her thigh. Check for signs of resealing. Or maybe a tiny slit at the base that would allow one to insert the figure in? Again, I'm no expert, and I don't have one of CD Psylockes myself. Just sharing my two cents, that is- what you have is a custom. I have a custom myself (or had, I don't remember if I've sold it or not). And it suffers from paint smudging too. FYI, a real CD Psylocke, I've seen sold from $500 to $15,000, depending on condition. I'd love to own one someday but I'll probably be never rich enough to justify such a purchase. lol
  9. What happened to your photos? They disappeared. I wanted to assess if the figure is real (and not a custom paint). Only managed to look at the first one. Also, was it necessary to create 3 separate topics? Delete the other ones please.
  10. Nice Xtreme. I can't recognize a few of those heroes (I noticed some are villains too?), I must say. I love this thread. And I just realized I got most of my wishlist satisfied for the unofficial DOFP X-Men line... sorta. Jubilee BAF, Storm (not in the outfit I expected, but hey, still got the mohawk), Cyclops (not the unreleased Phoenix tho), and Magneto (thought it was gonna be the movie version). Obviously, Wolverine is an unspoken given. But Stryfe was a pleasant surprise, and kudos to those that had him in their wishlist!
  11. I haven't... or at least, not yet. I paid via my Paypal credits so I don't know if that makes a difference. When did they give you the notification?
  12. First one I ever got: ML Series 8 Storm. This was when I thought $15 a figure was overpriced. Now how I long for those days. I immediately got an Elektra, Psylocke, and Arachne after Storm, but it would be 3 years later till I got my next few figures (Emma, Deathstrike, Mystique, Scarlet Witch, Wasp, Tigra... see a pattern here?) and another 2-3 years after that point till I actually started collecting as many of the figures as I could. Now, I have most of the major waves except for: Fin Fang Foom, most of the Face-Offs, and Series 1 Hasbro 2packs.
  13. I think it's still down. When they came up first last Friday, literally, any combination of "X-Men Marvel Legends infinite" would turn up the set.
  14. I pre-ordered 2 Storm, and one of each of the rest. But how good is TRU at fulfilling preorders? Anyone? Also, I just checked. Preorders are now down.
  15. Mine are: - Multiple Man - Cloak - Dagger - Northstar - Aurora - Enchantress - Bulldozer - Mockingbird - Radioactive Man - Tiger Shark - Firestar - Whirlwind The rest, I could live without. Thanos MS works fine for now (though I still don't have one myself). And the Frost Giant looks badass enough as MU and could still act as a stand in for a Legends version. Honestly, are we ever gonna get those gigantic BAFs anymore the size of Giant Man or Sentinel? Doubtful. And Cyke? Who's that? Baby Cyclops?
  16. I haven't ordered from them yet, precisely because I'm Canadian, and I don't want to pay for custom fees. However, I have heard some people say good things about them. But don't take my or their word for it. Entertainment Earth also has it up, but it's also advertised strangely. It's listed as a set of 8, but when it breaks the figures down, it lists only 7 (2 Stryfe and Wolvie/ 1 each of Mag, Storm, Cyc)
  17. According to Dorksidetoys, the case breakdown of 8 will be: 2 Cyclops 2 Wolverine 2 Stryfe 1 Magneto 1 Storm
  18. I don't know if they ALWAYS do. I know for sure, after the Cons the past two years, the Thunderbolts and X-Force sets were available for a sporadic amount of time. They kept popping in and out and would sell approximately 1-5 sets a posting. The Thunderbolts were sold out by late August. The X-Force sets were sold out much sooner. I guess it would depend on how much stock they have left over from their factories?
  19. $100... and that's for people that get them at the door. How much more outside of it? The Thunderbolts last year sold for... $89.99 retail. The cheapest I got that was $120 (via HTS... since I'm Canadian, $30 for shipping). But average prices upon release were like $140-150 PLUS shipping on ebay. I'm dreading how much this Thanos imperative will sell for, yikes. I think the most I'd pay is $150 with shipping... but the question is whether to try one of the vendors on ebay, or compete with everyone else once they get released on HTS, circa August? Hmm... So no one really got the prediction right, 100%. A few, myself included, got Medusa (though I'm sure, not in the outfit we expected), Black Bolt... and another few got Star-Lord. Blastaar and Gladiator evaded the predictions! It's a bittersweet set, personally. I would have loved to see Gamora and Groot (both were in Thanos Imperative weren't they? I'm sure Gamora was) but what are you gonna do? We're finally getting a comic Star-Lord, as was promised! Those who want to complete a comic GOTG set will go crazy to get him. Gladiator and Star Lord are my favourite figures of the bunch. Medusa, again, is not in the outfit I'd wanted her in but meh. Would anyone here have preferred she got prehensile hair instead of the block of plastic? I think I'd be more excited for her if that was the case. Blastaar is cool, but again, comic Groot or Gamora would have been nicer. Black Bolt is meh, since we technically already have one, but I know some people have been craving a remake.
  20. Rogue and Danielle Moonstar, I shan't ever lose hope! I'm actually excited for this line- all comic costumes, all X-Men, especially since I couldn't care much for the GOTG line, with there being only 2 comic figs (and consequently, the only two I really want)... I could do without the Wolvie figure. I wonder if they recalled all the unsold Wolvie figures and just gave them a head swap? LOL Can anyone here read Japanese? I'm following the FB group and they say that this will be out in July? So maybe this isn't a "true" Infinite wave, considering how off it is from the DOFP release date. The logo on the top right of the pic still has the old Marvel Legends logo, the one used for the All New X-Men set. I guess that's okay, but that also means no cute Infinite boxes. The Cyclops figure is fine. I like it. BUT. Its design is very fluid with the rest of his teammates (Magik, Emma, Mags, etc). Who do we pose it with? lol Storm, Stryfe, Mags, Jubilee- I'll take em. I'll TAKE ALL OF 'EM!!
  21. Rogue, White Phoenix, and MOONSTAR. Hehe. Very happy with that. If it is a fake, dayumm it's a very good fake. I also don't think it is sdcc. If it was, they'd have to be thematically packaged. Magneto has his classic outfit, jubilee, storm, and cyclops have marvel now costumes, while wolverine's is astonishing? I think, they're all starting to look the same. I wonder if mags and stryfe will be swaps? They both fit the mold of caped villains, lol.
  22. I think at the end of the day, you also have to consider your priorities, as well as your socio-economic circumstances. Here are some questions that might help you make a decision: 1) Do you have the cash to fork on ML figs? They're considerably more expensive than MU. 2) Will you have limits on what to collect and what not to collect? Equally as important, will you stick to these limits? You said you don't care about the army builders... I said the same thing ages ago, and now I must have at least 2-3 of each. And how sure are you that you will only stick to the Infinite line? 3) Do you have space, now that you have over 100 MU figs? 4) Do you plan to open them? If yes, go to #3. If no, go to #3. 5) Ask yourself, what is collecting the Legends line for? Satisfy an insatiable yearning to amass a new collection? Display a massive diorama? Have nothing else to spend money on? I'm not gonna judge you on what your reasons are but you have to make sure that, at the very least, there's a point to collecting the line. My very first figs were 3 3/4 inches. I moved to 5 inches, then 6 inches when the SOTA Street Fighter lines came out. I was very impressed with the 6 inch SOTA lines because of 1) sculpt detail, 2) better paint apps, and 3) ARTICULATION... three things that I felt lacking in the 3 3/4 and 5 inch figures. So I only started collecting the female figures, as I used to be an exclusive female figure collector. But displaying only female figures felt weird. Not just that, it looked weird. So in 2010, I joined Ebay and hunted for as many sets as I could. Thankfully, back then, some of the (less popular) waves could still be purchased for $50-$60, shipping included. And it was around the time Hasbro ended the line before reviving it a year or two later, so I managed to get most of the 2 packs for retail price that now sell for an insane amount of money. Suffice it to say, it became a slippery slope for me. I was in the process of collecting MU X-Men related figures + general female figures (I was at around 40-60 figures). But sold them all upon feeling that I was going down a further slope. LOL. I had to go back to the reasons WHY I wanted ML in the first place. While not perfect, I felt they do have better paint apps, sculpts, and articulation than the MU figures, so I committed to those justifications.
  23. Nope. It's easy to remove those tapes. Breathe into the area with your mouth as you slowly peel it off. With some patience, the tape would come off without leaving a mark. Minor correction: The Emma Frost is not form Puck, but from the Annihilus wave. Both of those figures are very dated, no longer in production, (Cyclops mold is also Toybiz, not Hasbro), and easily acquirable on Ebay.
  24. Last year, it was announced June 5th. So we still have some ways to go. thedevilsdude06, I like that X-Men set you have there... Somehow, I'm really doubting we're getting another X-Men 5 pack, considering we just got that horrid All-New set. Me personally, I would spend my money on any X-Men that comes out lol.
  25. Hello, Hasbrotoyshop had 2 of each of the soldiers from the Cap Am Wave 1... sold out within minutes. I was gonna post it here so one of you could get it, but I was too late. Dorksidetoys is now taking GOTG preorders. If you live within the continental US, shipping is free for the whole set. They give a better deal than Amazon- $21.99 for 5, $14.99 for Iron Man. Neither great offers apply to me. Shipping to Canada- $44.99... no thank you. But enjoy to those who order from them.
