  1. I prefer the Thunderstrike head by Thorodinson that Vort has over this one.
  2. New wave is popping up on Ebay- armored DD, Shanna, Vulture, and Thunderstrike.
  3. I've been trying to do an Odin, and haven't really put together a recipe I love, so you can likely add me to the list of people who are going to borrow that formula. Very stout.
  4. So, I got a Black Cat the other day from China, and for my part, I'm pretty satisfied with it. The reduced articulation is what it is, but I feel like the range of motion is much better than some of the standard MU bucks- they always seems stiff to me, when the legs weren't popping right off the joint. I also think the head sculpt looks a lot better in person than it did online.
  5. I saw today a deadpool in x force garb, but on the comic pack buck, not the 3 pack. Anyone know anything about that.
  6. I think I've seen one done that way on figurerealm.com before.
  7. Just ran into Wave 2 of Avengers Assemble at 5 Below today. Thor, Leader, Hawkeye, and Nick Fury, all available. I'm in VA.
  8. Any need an Omega Red and willing to offer an Ares? Hit me up, if so.
  9. No, I'm going for a more Howard-inspired version, but I did get that Morrison head because it's spot on for Arnie- however, the scale is way to small for the Herc body. I'm going to fashion it on a Doc Samson and make the 82 version for fun, since I have it. I appreciate the advice. Are you still after an Omega Red? I've got one, but am looking for an Ares, if you're interested. given that they're from the same wave, I doubt you'll have one, though.
  10. As a matter of fact, that's what I'm looking at right now. Thanks for the input.
  11. I think the neck's too long. If I trim it down, it might work.
  12. Hey, fellas, I'm attempting to build a Conan on the Hercules buck, and can't seem to find a good head. The Doc Samson/Thor head just seems too small for that base. I suck at sculpting, so I need something that just needs paint. Any ideas? Does anyone have experience to know if the Thor head would look better on a complete custom, because I can't see it as it stands. Thanks for any help.
  13. I just can't seem to figure out how to post pictures. But most of my stuff isn't very good, anyway, so...
  14. That's the real issue. Not the anchor characters, but he anchor figures. Give us a different Cap or Iron Man, and everyone is at least a little more satisfied. We have an Iron Man suit that he hasn't worn in years, and a Cap outfit that was replaced well before they even pressed it for the MU line proper.
  15. They should just do a sub service or something. I mostly get them through my LCS now by special order, which would be way awesome if I could just order the pieces I need versus whole cases, for both me and him. I guess the only problem is keeping costs down with that model (GI JOE subs are around $30 a figure or so), but I'm willing to pay a 2 or 3 dollar premium to be able to get what I want and not have to fight the scalpers for it.
  16. I think he's specifically referring the matte finish of the packaging, not the paint apps of the figures.
  17. Anyone sitting on a white suit FF Spider Man they'd be willing to part with?
  18. Yeah, Fort Knox packaging is super annoying. Hip stability wouldn't be big loss, if every figure included stands... you know, like GI Joes? Too bad Hasbro can't follow the same general formula.
  19. Late to the party, but why does the Toxin not have the spider emblem? Have they already dispensed with that in the book, or is Hasbro being lazy on this one?
  20. I feel like articulation in this line has never been particularly smooth. More often than should be the case, I get figures whose legs just pop off if you try to the move them, and then occasionally, I score one so completely fluid I can't believe its from the same line. Hasbro has had articulation on lock since 1985, I feel like this should never be an issue with modern figures.
  21. Or perhaps other recognizable characters. Cap and iron Man aren't the only super heroes kids know about.
  22. So, BBTS just put up the pre-orders for Infinite Wave 2. I guess the fact that Cap and Iron Man are there again is their idea of a joke?
