I got my MCU Outrider sets a few weeks back and I did t see a whole lot of chatter about this set. I admit, the price, the C list MCU character selection. .. I was less than excited. .. But in hand. I hate to admit, these are worth the price, despite the lack of accessories. These things are a engineering marvel. And are beautifully sculpted. I just spent the past 30 minutes posing these guys trying to find cool 4 arm poses. . Hasbro has come a long since their Doppelganger days. They have solved the 4 arm buck problems. . -
Got to think FalcCap will end up on clearance like the previous, a new paint job wont change that. Red Hulk may be a sleeper. His comic version was highly sought after before the re-release. Even then I only saw very limited quantities. Plus, its Indiana Jones as a Hulk. Thats Red. Win-Win. This replacement Falcon is terrible. I thought it was the Vulture. If there was one character that replaced another character in the comics that didnt need ti be done in the MCU its Falcon. Despite Sam's promotion, i dont think too many fans were going to miss the Falcon side kicking around the MCU

Lots of people getting their Giant Man, lots reporting the eye issue. No official word from Hasbro if there will be a way to get correct set of forward looking eyes? Or if its even an error? Sounds like its a 50/50 split for those who got forward eyes and thise who got two sets of left/ slightly left eyes. My set hasnt moved, ive got no indication it has shipped or even began the process. Be nice if they were going to fix this issue or confirm its supposed to be this way before mine does ship. Hang onto it for a bit longer and make sure i get the correct version is all im saying -
Im not the biggest Xmen fan here for sure but this really feels like a let down. How many different ways/ colors are XMen die hards willing to buy a Sentinel in? Am I off base here? With the Haslab, which kinda felt like Hasbro put the final stamp on their take, it felt like "ok, its done. Move on to something else". And its not like fans didnt have options before. Hasbro took a shot at the Sentinel a time or two. There was even Toybiz's attempts. But now, fans are supposed to get excited about another because its a Xmen 97 version? Yeah, I dont know, it doesnt feel that special this time around. Kinda feels a bit too little too late to the Sentinel party. (Im just saying fans have been given a lot of Sentinel lately for fans to get too excited about this reveal )

Mine did too. He looks great. More and more im focusing on the classic looks and while this one isnt 100% 60s era Quicksilver in the suit, he is a fine representation. But that headsculpt is fantastic for any era. I love it. -
I got two sets on the way but the timing couldnt be worse. Between the 85th anniversary sets, the Crystal/ Lockjaw set and the Strange Tales wave i really didnt want to spend $130 on Army Builders Im not that thrilled to be getting in the first place. Like others mentioned above, these seem late, even by MCU figures release schedule. Plus, Id have rather gotten Chitauri figures first. I had no idea the Outriders were a thing in comics or otherwise. Just thought they were dog- like crestures in Endgame. I dont usually give into to FOMO but I remembered how quicky the Children of Thanos set sold out and I knew if I didnt get them at retail, I definitely wouldnt even try at a mark up. They may end up at a discount store, but they may not. All that being said, the way Hasbro has been absolutely killing it lately, I know these sets will be fantastic. Much like the severly underrated The Marvels and Quantumania figures, which were some of Hasbro’s best work, these Outriders look amazing.

Id love to see a Hammond torch 2 pack. Ive been using the translucent Torch as a stand in since he does t have a flame 4 or anything else to identify him as Johnny Storm. But my ideal Hammond Torch would be non-translucent, a darker shade of red, and no facial features that was a trade mark of his early appearances. Then the human/android in his WCA red suit with yellow trim. The closest i ever had to this look was an old 5" Johnny Storm who came in a two pack with Iceman in a set called Fire and Ice. Johnny had a red suit for some reason and was half flamed on, half off. It was easy enough for me to paint yellow cuffs and collar. But cmon Hasbro.. The Original is THE first Marvel hero. He is long overdue.

Well damn, that headswap looks so good i have no choice but to grab 2. There really is no way i can leave the blue suit with the original head. That side by side shows how off that one was. Hmmm... I wonder how many Walmart will limit us to? I think they usually only let fans buy 2 during these events, right? Or at least until they go on clearance.

Yeah to complete the WCA, all that is missing is Firebird (agree, could do without BUT she is listed as an official member so I must have her haha), Jim Hammond Torch, and Living Lightning. And Thing in his black onesy just because I always dug that look.Pretty easy for Hasbro to do honestly. There wasnt any version of Captain Marvel on the WCA, the list you found got that one wrong too. Not sure who they could be confusing that character with. Maybe the version of the team that Kate Bishop started? That team had both Kate and Clint, Miss America, Gwenpool, Kid Omega and someone named Fuse and Alloy. But just as Im writing this, I seem to recall Marvel Boy or Protector ( forget what name he was using at the time ) was hanging out with the team. Or dating a couple members of the team. Or something. Maybe thats who is listed? And the latest version of the WCA that just started could be a fun book. No idea who is officially on that version but for me, the classic team is all I really care about. Glad to see another fan. There was a time, around the late 40's issues of WCA that I was more excited to get their monthly book over the main teams. The later roster with US Agent, Spider-Woman, Torch, and the rest had a big time feel to the book. Definitely great times.

I love this version of MK. Its like the Armored DD suit, undeniably MK, but just enough differnt to really stand out. I honestly never thought we'd get an offical WCA version. Well, its the WCA version to me. I know he sported the same basic look in the Fist of Khonshu book but if memory serves, in THAT book, he had the ankh on his chest, while this suit is comic accurate to his short run as a Whacko. Ive long since stopped collecting comics but ever since I started collecting Legends (day1 , series 1) ive wanted two displays : Secret Wars and the entire WCA roster. With the box set last year and now this new version of MK, my WCA display is getting accurate as hell... keep them coming Hasbro. Im at the point where I just need a few specific looks ( Thing's black and red unitard) and a few key Avengers from Vol1 ...

I am kinda digging Rogue's headsculpt. I think in hand it looks much better than promo pics. She is sporting a fun "smug" or "overconfident " expression that works for her first appearances. A second headsculpt showing a softer, less cocky look probably would have been a nice option for fans for when she joined the XMen. And gone a long way towards making fans happier about the lack of accessories. I needed this Rogue suit to inch ever closer to my ultimate Secret Wars display so im thrilled they gave us this version. Added bonus, the Strange Tales Moon Knight's West Coast Avengers era suit is also perfect for getting that team as accurate as possible too. Its just incredible that Hasbro has been hitting these early/ obscure suits.. ive had the all white MK as a stand in, figuring we'd never get the gold highlights.. but come Monday, ill be able to add the true WCA Moon Knight to my team!
-
Ill keep which one looks best once i get this latest one in hand then try to sell or trade the other two. Maybe lll keep the latest body and all three head sculpts then drop kick the extra bodies into the trash but i definitely dont need 3 of this guy. If they had made one of the versions translucent or ghostly then I could head canon that into being his dead brother.. but there is no reason to army build this guy. I get it, the wave's budget was likely taken up by the new sculpts but they already gave us the Moon Knight with minimal tooling. Id rather Voodoo's spot had been taken by a new character that could be done with a simple paint job. Something like they did with Spymaster or Eel.. I mean, not THOSE exact guys but take a nice buck, paint it to look like a character we havent gotten yet.

So weird few days from Amazon. Got charged for Dr Strange / Wong / dog ( i guess they are calling it a 3 pack) as well as Bloodstorm, Hellverine, and Dracula on Monday for Wednesday delivery. Then today all were delayed. Normally when i get profuct delayed they hold off on charging my card. Not overly concered but for me this is a new practice. Ive set aside the cash so it wont matter if anything else gets released. Heres hoping the delays dont mean im getting someone elses swapped returns -
Im ok with this set for what we are getting to be honest. I need this suit for Crystal for my Avengers lineup and Lockjaw fits into the Pet Avengers that I've inadvertently collected as well. Now when they inevitably update Crystal to her black and white bomber jacker era Avengers suit ill have both uniforms she wore as an active member. And since the Inhumans as a comic and an IP have never interested me, i dont feel the need to want Hasbro to keep that team going.
