  1. So what New Mutants team does this Cypher belong to? The recent Secret Wars Magik team? Speaking of Secret Wars.. if I were still collecting select waves in packaging, Id be all over that Dr Doom.. classic Secret Wars packaging, classic Secret Wars suit.. but alas, Hasbro has priced me put of double dipping long ago. The MCU stuff is okay, feels like they've beaten Deapool a d Wolerine to death but I do admit its a kinda fun FU to have Cavill as Wolverine in Legends form. The movie Spidey stuff feels mostly been there, done that.. a d the Tbolts set won't get me to bite at full price again. The rest will likely be sales or no interest
  2. That Jessica Jones is a huge improvement over the earlier version.
  3. Im enjoying these "mash- up" waves Hasbro has been giving us lately. I Especially liked the two mini comic waves for the variety and this wave feels very much in the same vein. And BOX is a perfect BAF for this wave.. Hopefully Hasbro gets back to what made the best BAFS, namely deep dives. For the characters: U.S. Agent: i have a love / hate thing with this era of this team. The WCA was my favorite book at the time of its cancelation but Force Works was still very much my team, just with terrible costumes. I mean Agent, Scarlet Witch and Wonderman had some of the most phoned in suits I've ever seen. But... I did have the Toybiz 5" version that this Agent figure is updating. Not the biggest fan, and I cant belive Im saying i wish this had been the "Judge Dredd" inspired look Agent wore for a time. Marrina: one more Reserve Avenger off the list! And so cool to complete Alpha Flight ( along with BOX, and maybe if they ever make a Talisman figure.., I can call this team done) Reyes Ghost Rider: one more Avenger to add. Im not too torn up that we didnt get the car, it was cool (cough*overpriced*) but if im being honest, i had no where to display it. So Robbie gets added to my later Avengers lineup sans car. Dark Hawkeye: so glad they didnt just repaint an already made Hawkeye figure. The Dark Avengers are shaping up nicely. Psylocke: great suit from the only era I collected XMen regularly. Ill grab for my personal nostalgia. Lady Deadpool: only need for the BOX piece. But I suppose its a nice update. Ultimate Wolverine: is this guy from the most recent Ultimate rehash? Is this even Logan? Ill grab on clearance or sale BOX: amazing choice! Another version of a character that holds a special place for me as I was collecting Alpha Flight during this version. And I continue to be amazed with Hasbro’s engineering. Making a large, boxy character as articulated is a absolute feat... and something Hasbro is distancing themselves from the competition with how well designed their larger characters have become. Rival stuff is not for me. Hate the designs so easy pass
  4. Always felt the same when the Silver Centurion and Warmachine were colored white. I can see its white, but my mind "sees" them as shiny silver. Weird how THIS effect works for me lol
  5. This is a good point. "Our" Vision ended up in Anti-Vision's body for an extended period so for me, I'll gladly take the Crossing era suit. But as you've pointed out, he works for an Avengers villains shelf as well. Damn.. do I need to get two sets?!?
  6. Got my BW / Quicksilver set too. I had forgotten Quicksilver wore this suit during the Busiek / Perez Heroes Return era as well as the Crossing. Always loved this version of Quicksilver
  7. Got my set of Muse and Bullseye but the Pulse app was back to its old tricks of not taking the payment by entering card info. I had to go through PayPal for it to accept my order. So if you have PayPal, try that first
  8. Trying to recall the Parker Iron Spider, he only had three mechanical legs ( sometimes he had 3, sometimes 4 depending on who drew him) but Im wondering if this 4 legends backpacking the Davis Iron Spidey will fit the Parker one? Be nice to have the option to swap the backpacks and get 4 legs on the Parker version.. Edit: after getting a better look at the Davis figure, that backpack looks very familiar, do I have it backwards? Parker has 4 legs and should 3? Was it the Superior Spider-Man that had this 4 leg packs? Regardless, unless the pack back is a whole new mechanic, im thinking it should fit on Parkers back too
  9. Im glad the Absorbing Man is the "normal" size he was in Secret Wars. One thing they absolutely got wrong with the previous Creel and the Wrecking Crew was their out of scale size. I know artistic interpretation and all, but they were toooo big. Same with their BAF SandMan. Maximum Thor is very nice. Glad to see he isn't Maximum hands like the previous Max figures. Throg is the highlight for me lol. This makes sense as opposed to Doop on the Deadpool Max figure. I get it was an homage to the Toybiz version, but in no way did that booger monster make DP and more "Max". Throg is at least... a version of Thor. Secret Wars DD is absolutely stunning. THIS is an homage done right. I have every DD figure Hasbro has done so far but Im grabbing this guy too. The rest of the Secret Wars wave is a mixed bag. I kinda love that only Absorbing Man and Spidey were in the comic series, with the rest being Mattel figures homage plus ?!Magik?!? BUT Volcana better get a figure before they call it quits on this line.. there really is no better subline to slip her into. The Crossing 2 pack (hey, solo series Quicksilver!) is welcome but odd. Wasn't this rumored to be a 4 pack? Regardless, the suits the Avengers wore for this storyline were some of the worst ever. They feel very "alternate universe" .. and I can't see them doing many of the other suits, right? I guess Wanda's wasn't THAT bad, but unless we end up with that version of Giant-Man, I dont care to complete the Crossing team.
  10. Impressive outing, I really wasnt expecting much. That Deadpool MCU wave is phenomenal. Im a little surprised they didnt shoe horn Gambit in there, he seems to be a hit, though I found him only slightly amusing. The more I see Snipes as Blade, the less I think the other guys film is ever going to get made. Just give the teeth back to Wes.. its what we all want. Two Gun Kid is surely on the way after this Cowboy Deadpool reveal right? Classic Ghost Rider is a dream come true. I was just looking at the Retro GR the other day and was wondering when we'd get a truly blue jump suit Blaze version. And that bike... so cool. What is the snot covered green head again? I might grab Grizzly for another super articulated bear and the accessories. That about sums up this mort. Kitty and Colossus are nice but out of my limited XMen scope Secret Wars Falcon, if true, finally. Another classic Avenger. But also, Magik?!? Cmon Hasbro, we know you will eventually get to Absorbing Man and the Wrecking Crew.. so give us Volcana. This is our last best shot to complete the villains.
  11. How do you make a project better? Add more Gad. .....said no one. Ever. But honestly he will probably be the best part of the show He's playing an exaggerated version of himself so likely expect terrible behavior for comedic effect.
  12. Oh what? My Starfox and Champion 2 pack arrived today from Pulse. PULSE actually got / shipped something first? After a quick ocular pat down, Starfox appears to be an amazing addition to my Avengers collection. Perfect expression, chest emblem pops, and the colors are sharp. He is squished off to the left side in the box because his roommate is gigantic... Speaking of...Champion seems like a solid figure but I had no interest in him. Once I bust him out, ill judge whether to keep him or not. The list of (what I consider) the classic team that remains shrinks by one. My list is 63- Disassembled (because F@#$ Bendis) so that only leaves 10 "longshots" to go
  13. They kinda wiffed on the Mr Hyde too by using a more modern look.. ah well...
  14. Werewolf is amazing, a other huge improvement over the Toybiz one. Odd choice making THIS version of Dark Avengers Spiderman, he wasn't even on Osborn's team. So he doesnt fit with the previous DA releases so far...but I guess its a start on the next lineup. Phantom Rider is neat, perhaps the ROM of this wave, a character no one thought we'd get, but may be the sleeper hit of the wave ( and with WbN in the lineup, that's saying something) Enchantress, Iron Man and Warbiw are unnecessary but of course needed for The Executioner (classic Avenegers foe !!) Logan is also sweet, I wonder how hard he will be to get if people try to kitbash every Hero who's ever been in WWIi? I thought Id like to complete the Inhumans but seeing them I can pass. The price is way to high for 2 sets of C level Morts.
  15. Iron Man / Mandarin is out for delivery today. Huh.. thought this was an Oct 21st hit to my account like the other $500 that is scheduled to come out that day...
