  1. While this guy looks like a nice update of the cheesiness of the original design, I’m not sure how I feel about his Cenobyte lite attire. Also feel he would look more “Morbius” with his facial hair. As he stands he kinda looks like Morbius Jr. also the “wind blown “ hair is a miss for me. Like many have noted about Thunderstrike’s perma-scream, outside of an action pose Morbius looks a little goofy with his hair “ in effect” at all times.. now if only Hasbro could see their way to a Werewolf By Night remake I wouldn’t care if they gave him wind swept hair and a permanent screaming head, it would be an instant buy
  2. I’d take both. Both for my Avengers line up for “Thor II” and Thunderstrike for my sadly anemic A2 squad ( only Stinger so far, but is that version from A2 or was Cassie sporting this suit in the MU proper?)
  3. Just thinking about the 3 3/4 Marvel Universe final few waves. In that we got Thunderstrike , Rage, and Quasar (among others) .. perhaps we may see a ( hopefully classic ) Quasar soon.. Also Rage’s perma-scowl is borderline the same thing as T-Strike.. not as jarring in team line up poses but still off putting next to more calm looking teammates.. must be stressful being an Avenger 😁
  4. Well ok haha, As always great info. my only other preferred look that Hasbro could get me to buy this guy a third time is the Secret Wars version.. not very practical as warrior garb but that limited series was so impactful to me as a child that I would absolutely love that version of Doom
  5. Yeah this guy is pretty cool. I grabbed him for the Wendigo piece and sold him off. But he was very impressive. That cape especially.
  6. Out of curiosity, are you planning on keeping a copy in box because of your love of the characters, the cool box art or the chance that it will become a rare collectible? For the Avengers figures I normally get two. Honestly not sure why I started doing that. But now it’s (an expensive) habit. Keep thinking I’ll go back to getting only one but then I can’t resist. I’m sick 😷 Was in my local Targets again this past weekend and the shelves are full of this 2 pack. It has gone from most wanted when the presells sold out instantly to potentially shelf warming from being TOO available.. Target can’t seem to get it right. Spidey / MJ and Red Hulk were no shows in my area ( to get Rulk I had to drive quite a bit out of my way and grab a in store pick up and went online to get the Spidey set). Now Storm set may get clearanced out and make future sets hard to get again because they won’t order as many.. vicious circle. Edit: or like the Hawkeye / Widow set it could be readily available for months then disappear and take a huge jump on the secondary market.. who knows with these things
  7. They could always put a picture of what’s supposed to be inside on the outside of the box.. you know, so the new windowless boxes look like our current boxes.. yeah im into recycling, everything but the little folded paper that is in the bottom of the boxes gets recycled so I know I’m not the problem (eye roll).. but I’ve seen waaaaaay to many figure swaps to think this would work at brick and mortar stores. And as mentioned above, QC has been suspect ( I wasn’t buying but I checked out the Storm / TBird set and all but one had very sloppy paint apps) and while normally I don’t care about wonky eyes as that seemed the rarity, I’ve noticed it more recently. buying online would be ok I guess, probably only way I’d buy to avoid the inevitable swapped figure problem. i thought Hasbro had already dropped their plastic on Legends, but without the bit holding the figure in place, might as well stuff him in a bag. What else could they do? Maybe use those annoying ties to hold them to cardboard. had no idea they vowed to remove plastic, be interesting to see their solution
  8. I mean.. the screaming head is an odd choice for the decision to not give him a calmer alt head.. but if he is posed in a dramatic fight scene or one of those team action shots then he wouldn’t look out of place at all.. sure a static standing pose he looks stressed AF.. guess it comes down to how you pose him. also as a point of interest Amazon updated Thunderstrike to this Saturday delivery. Only TStrike though ..
  9. I literally LOL’d seeing Dr. Doom throw a book at Reed.. that’s is some funny stuff there.. I was on the fence but decided to grab this guy when i find him. I really like the lighter colors and accessories. The soft goods bib or whatever it is, is the worst part of this figure. Glad it is easily removed. I know there was some discussion on the length of Doom’s ...erm... skirt but seeing the older figures with Doom showing off his sexy legs makes me think they made the right decision on its length..I guess that’s the difference between 21 year old Doom and 40 year old Doom 😂
  10. I know nobody could have predicted how readily available the Storm/ TBird set would be but I must say after the way Target exclusives like Spider-Man MJ and Red Hulk were handled I am shocked to see so many sets in stores ..
  11. Haha amazing !! You can almost see the nausea on Peters face as he tries to contemplate the poor life choices that resulted in his future turning out the way it did..
  12. I must say the sculptors that are designing these MarvelLegends are inspired. I know nothing about Silk but she is gorgeous! There are a few recent Legends that if you kinda squint and are in dim lighting they kinda resemble celebrities ( Invisible Woman = Taylor Swift ? Am I the only one?) and this one has hints of familiarity but can’t quite place the celebrity. For the record I would have voted for Sif only because she seemed the less likely to get a 2nd release.. but Silk looks amazing
  13. Well being a huge fan and of the classic brown and having appreciation for the XForce suit I am kinda digging the updated look. And since we are in an age where the underwear outside the pants is considered “goofy” this version makes sense and looks sharp. if this is the version we are getting I’ll gladly add him to my Wolverine collection ugh.. I’m so far removed from monthly comics.. Is that Groot sporting a new look as well?
  14. @ADour thank you for providing the backstory, I always appreciate when members go above and beyond to provide information
