  1. Are Early Bird exclusives still something Hasbro would try after the Robbie Reyes misstep? Has any Early Bird incentive actually worked? I don't t collect G.I.Joe or Star Wars so honestly I  am asking if some brand has pulled one off. I've heard Mattel has t had much luck..

I'm afraid an updated Yellowjacket or important Wasp suit will get offered as one and we will immediately see it fail again. For the first time ever with a HasLab project I'm "Day of.." ordering but before this very specific offering I normally have waited until the last hours of funding. I'd really hate to have a failed incentive hang over the entire funding time.

YOU'D hope Hasbro has learned something from the Ghost Rider Lab that Early birds and total cost can be detrimental to a success if the base  the offering is mediocre. You'd hope....

  2. I'm really hoping a tier is not a large ant to mimic his shrinking. It really wouldn't make sense but I can see Hasbro doing it.

Now, in. The past I've suggested that instead of one super large figure that gets close to Sentinel or Galactus size (which also wouldnt make sense), we get multiple versions of Hanks more famous suits. Like the classic Giant -Man and both red and blue Goliaths. Then maybe tiers are Barton and Foster Goliath. This way we get lots of giant sized characters. I mean, FA Wasp could fit into any Avengers related wave.

Regardless what we get this is exciting!!

  3. I'm torn on these. Most are great updates but again...most have already been done.

Hasbro is honestly killing my enthusiasm for MCU figures with the constant redo's.... all the factors that are dampening my joy are the price hikes, redone characters, terrible new movies and scraps to build my collection on. I don't need ANOTHER round of Civil War or Dark World  main players. How about knocking a few off from the NEVER BEEN DONE list?!?!

On the other hand, on the 3rd or 4th try of some of these looks we get definitive versions. These look fantastic.

Thor is annoying me. This will be the 3rd time the Dark Word suit has been done. Why? I like that film more than most but someone at Hasbro clearly loves it.

I'd love to get answers as to why Hasbro isn't updating The First Avenger Cap suit, Thor's first suit etc...

So I'm undecided on MCU figures for the first time since Hasbro has been putting them out. And as these check my two biggest boxes (Avengers amd MCU) this is disheartening to me. Very little to expand my collection and a box full of inferior attempts before I've got to spend more money on better versions.

  4. Even IF this wasn't leadng to the Avengers Haslab, these pics are a lot of fun.

I'm all in for the Haslab already unless they give us something incredibly dumb like MODOK wearing different Avengers costumes.

That being said, I hope it skews towards the classic comic lineups. I'm a little down on the MCU  lately (bad movies, constant repaints of Legends instead of new characters) and I'm not feeling the more modern stuff.

Hoping these pics, along with all the recent classic versions we've been getting mean the Haslab follows the pattern

  5. Just got notified that Walmart has shipped my Bucky Cap and Joe Fixit! So these are on the way with no StarLord like fake outs and cancelations!

Bucky will finish off the Avengers 60th line correct? Or are there a few more surprises ? Perhaps the classic Vision will sport the anniversary box? Or perhaps if he is part of a wave that entire wave will get those sweet boxes?

Only 60th figure I ended up skipping was Super-Adaptoid.  Just can't justify the cost for a figure that looks like a knock off. Surprised it hasn't been on sale anywhere...

  6. I really love the Iron Man in this packaging. I still have the last 2 they released in box on a book shelf. Everything from the graphics to the figures come together in a really sharp presentation. Would love all of the main armors to be able to show off this way.

Like to see some IM2 love especially the Suitcase armor.

Bruce and Widow look great as well. Honestly at this point I'd rather get the Bruce's and new armors than redos of figures they've already done numerous times. But I guess they have to milk the MCU from when the movies were good as long as they can.

I'm less excited about Cap since I've owned the Winter Soldier version since it first came out. But I would like to see if they can get Chris Evan's headsculpt right finally.

Anyway, looks like a good start to a long overdo MCU wave

  7. Finally got the chance to open my set and I am beyond pleased!

Every figure is fantastic! As I stated before I actually had them in hand I thought Pym and Mockingbird were the standouts and they do not disappoint.  Tigra and Spider Woman look like they stepped right out from the comic. Even the white on Iron Man, in the right light, does exactly what colorists did in the comics. It almost looks silver, a really well done paint app

I can also now report @Air-Walker, there is no boot swivel

My WCA Team is just a few characters and suits away from COMPLETE!

Also, found a place for the first "Nuclear" version if Tigra:

  8. I'll Try for 3 sets. I was able to snag a few extra Quake/ Hills so this amount t reaches my "army"

Dang pre-order tomorrow already?!? We all know how this goes: mad pre-order rush, this sells out, we're given a March '24 release date, our cards are charged Friday,  product in hand Saturday....wife kicks me about $100 unexpectedly coming out of our account

  9. Has the Children of Thanos set ever dropped in price? There was a very small window when I was able to snag 2 sets but I'm not sure I've even seen it back in stock let alone on sale. What about Alpha Flight? I seem to recall that one also at a reduced price but is going for big bucks now.

The Spidey set almost got me to jump but id have only been interested in Razorback so even at $67 is too much for one figure.

I assume the WCA set will go on sale at some point. I grabbed 2 already but a friend is paying me for a set. I may grab another for myself when it does drop. An extra Pym head could be usefull

  10. Scale doesn't usually bug me as I invoke the artistic license principle that many artists drew certain characters at various sizes. If a character has EVER been the size of what we get in Legends form then good enough..

Not saying an undersized character always works. The first US Agent was way to small. As was the first Retro Ant-Man. Too small sticks out way more than too big.

Drax is fantastic for me. I feel like Drax was closer to Thor sized as recently as the Infinity Guantlet wasn't he? And he started being portrayed as closer to Hulk sized in the Infinity Watch comic? And also seems his intelligence dropped and he was essentially a big dumb weapon that got pointed at the villain of the month.may have some of these times mixed up.

Anyway, I'm a fan of this classic Drax, suit and scale. As with many, I'd rather have Moondragon in her classic but ill take her anyway I can.

  11. I don't mind the white replacing silver in either Silver Centurion or WarMachine. I THOUGHT it would bug me but there are many instances where, depending on the colorist, the silver on these armors came off as white. Kinda like the whole Storm white or black suit thing. So with that mind set I can accept the color change.

And in hand, WarMachine looks really good.( Still haven't had chance to open my WCA set. Damn real world !)

Though I must admit, this practice of redo's of figures with no change but paint apps that the 3.3/4" Marvel Universe figures loved doing was not a thing I'd expect from a line where each figure costs $24-$28 a pop...but here we are. But getting both versions at least allows me to have SC or WM in different lineups...

again in regards to the Amazon box sets. I've only bought the Wolverine, Alpha Flight and this WCA sets. I sold everyone else off except Logan from his set but kept all of Flight and will do the same with the Whackos. Then if a single figure stood out from the others I'd track it down. So it seems I'm more likely to go all in on sets that give us official Teams. Though not complete teams...looking at you Marrina...so while I'm loving the concept and potential of these box sets, I'm hoping to see more teams

Overall another nice five pack. I've learned not to expect new improved parts or molds in these packs. It's a way for Hasbro to give us some new/better versions of figures without spending much on design and tooling. I will definitely be getting it after I take a breather from all the waves and Avengers anniversary sets I got so far this summer.

Yeah these 5 packs seem to be for apology figures or easy to do characters. Which is perfectly fine. Characters that have stood out over the 5 pack sets are: Cyber, Wyngarde, shirtless Wolverine,  zero, the entire Alpha Flight set, Razorback, Human Fly, and of course Pym and Mockingbird with this one. Even characters like Callisto are nice mods

I'm with on the Avengers anniversary sets as well. It was a lot of monet all at once but I couldn't wait on the WCA set. The West Coast team became my most anticipated monthly comic during the era this box set represents (except IM, obviously that armor was much sooner in their run). I was beginning to think this version of Pym wasn't going to happen as the Ant-Man trilogy has completed

Also: thank you Hasbro for having the Pym head /Ant-Man head be interchangeable. While this seems like a no brainer, this is exactly the thing they usually (on purpose?) screw up. This gives us options  without added cost.

Did they give Iron Man swivel boots or is it the same as the previous version?

I haven't opened yet to check. My plan was to be able to do so tonight but hasn't happened.

I assume it will be the same since he is a simple repaint but there is a (slight) chance they added swivels this time. Can anyone verify?

  14. Got mine too... I love it. Can't wait to open.

Unlike many, I liked the first versions of the Silver Centurion and Tigra, despite that I agreed with some of the criticisms. Spider Woman is a nice update, the hair looks more comic accurate to me as I reacall her always having big flowing hair.

Then you add my #1 most wanted version of Pym and Mockingbird and this is a dream set. Keep sets like these coming Amazon, the 5 packs aren't always for me but we have gotten some great new characters from every set they've released.

Now let's finish the WCA with this box set ! I need Firebird, Black and red jumper Thing, Living Lightning, Jim Hammond  and Neo Classic Iron Man ( I prefer the smaller leg boots compared to the super sized ones. Just want him to properly scale this time)

  15. I'm fine with the non-bendy static arms/claws.. the comic version looks great if rotated into the most dynamic pose.

Plus, I'm a display collector,  I'll check them out once opened but I'm not playing with these. Unless you consider setting up different  scenes to display as playing. So I don't need them to be bendy.. though I may be in the minority
