  1. I asked the same over a month a ago. Judging by the silence then and now I'm going with no.

It's a real shame these didn't last. I was pretty excited for the comic packs since I wasn't collecting when they came out back in the day. All I've seen is the 1st wave at retail which is still clogging the pegs around here. Bought the 2nd wave through BBTS but never saw them discounted at Ross or Marshall's like many have reported. I have slim hope to see the Guardians anywhere other than online at this point and I can't bring myself to spend the prices I've seen for 3/4 figures I own already.

  2. Stopped at Walmart today and saw a massive end cap chock full of the xmen wave that wasn't there yesterday. I've never seen that many legends at any retail store around here, it was nuts! I got my set a while ago but took a peek and sure enough, no deadpools lol. Scalpers strike again!

From there I stopped by TRU and they had the entire Dr Strange wave. Almost bought Nico and Iron Fist but put them back. Think I'm done for this year.

  3. Have the GOTG comic packs been seen anywhere at retail yet? Nothing but wave 1 around here. I preordered the 2nd wave and swore I wouldn't do it again after hearing of them showing up $5 cheaper in stores (sadly, none in my area) and that was before BBTS upped their price for wave 3. I really only want/need Groot but the completionist in me needs both packs. It's a sickness.

  4. Stopped by Walgreens on a whim today looking for Punisher. No expectations as my area (southern NJ) takes forever to get new items in stock (still haven't seen any Namor). Found a full shelf of the Hulkbuster wave but as I turned to walk out I saw the end cap was full of Punishers. Must've just put them out since the store had only opened about 30 min prior. Picked out the best 1 and that just leaves me with Wonder Man and maybe Iron Fist to finish off the year.

  5. Raft set arrived today (that was some fast shipping hasbro!) and I'm pretty pleased with it. I've been thinning out my legends collection and was really on the fence about picking this up. I'll be getting rid of spidey because I don't need another 1 on the shelf, although I do like that head, and sandman I'm just not a fan of at all. I could probably live with most of the issues I have with it except for the texture. He just looks way too smooth and shiney to be in his sand form for me. I'll stick with the toybiz classics version. As for the rest, they all look great. I was most excited for enchantress but dreadknight definitely stole her thunder. He's easily my fav of the set.

  6. @ Bigtasty - Where abouts in NJ? I haven't had any luck in my area. I've had my set for a few weeks now from BBTS but am trying to hunt down a few for a friend that isn't able to go out.

    *Edit*

Called a few min after I posted and spoke with a very nice employee who tracked the case down in the back. Another employee tried blowing me off when I got there but I was persistent until he reluctantly brought the box out. Picked up DP, Wolverine and Rogue. Only paid about $10 for all 3 too after I exchanged the 4 repacks that came in the newest 3.75" wave case. My friend will be very happy!

  7. Your best bet is probably to Ebay it like me. I will most likely be asleep when these come out so I probably will only be getting Sandman if the price is ok to me. I would love to grab Enchantress as well but I know that I will have to pick and choose only one.

IF I'm lucky enough to score a set on HTS, I'll gladly hook you up with that Sandman at cost ($20) plus shipping. I'm happy with my Spider-man classics version.

  8. Stopped by a five below about 30 min from me and found pegs full of Ares, Antman, Omega Red and Valkyrie. My local store never got any in so I grabbed a bunch. Also picked up the Playmation Modok while I was there. Then I went across the street to a TRU and found wave 2 in abundance. Got my case last week so I passed but it was good to see them at retail. My TRU is always empty except for the 3 or 4 Hyperions hanging around.

  9. Who is Rob Bruce?

I finally picked up a Death Archangel via Ebay for just under $40 (including shipping), which seemed like a fair price to me.

I am glad that they just include the variants in with the cases now. They were such a pain to find back in the day. I never saw Death Archangel, astral Dr. Strange or "bag-head" Spidey at retail.

I checked my local Toys R Us and the new wave hasn't arrived yet. I'm hoping it'll show up this week. I have to say that the Armored Spidey figure looks great -- he has a nice sculpt. From the promo pics it looked like a piece of poo to me, but having seen some recent fan-posted pics I now want him. Who in the heck at Hasbro takes those promotional pictures anyway? -- half of the time they look bad, due to either the pose or the lighting.

Rob Bruce is a frequent guest on the show Comic Book Men. He's like their local toy guru when they need help. My wife, who knows nothing of comics, toys or pop culture in general, loves watching that show. As awestruck as she was you might have thought he was Tom Cruise lol.

I haven't opened Armored Spidey yet but I am impressed with how he looks. Probably the 1st and last time I won't mind the reduced POA on this character.

  10. Just came home from the annual toy show my lcs throws. Really nice turn out this year considering it was postponed a week due to weather. Soon as I got there, I found a woman with a bunch of MU and we got to talking. Turns out it was Rob Bruce's wife. Both of them were very nice. He gave me some great deals and I ended up walking away with over 20 figures; some for my collection, some for customs or some I just couldn't pass up for the price. Then I came home to find a gigantic box from BBTS arrived 4 days early! Among the goodies is a case of the Gamora, Rage wave. What a great day. All this excitement and I haven't even had lunch yet.

  11. - Other colors I'd like would be greens and browns, earth tones. Maybe even like a translucent blue.

    - I have probably about 75-100 legends and quickly growing.

    - $2-5? Not sure what other stands go for.

    - Currently not using any stands. I'm just taking everything out of storage and quickly realizing how bad some figures need them. I do have a couple flight stands and Select bases to use though.
