  1. 2 Star-Lord bodies and a Mantis will get you about as close as you can reasonably get. Mantis is definitely too tall, but if you really want a placeholder already in a uniformed body, she's the only option. And dynamic posing can always hide a few scale sins if you're willing to let it.
  2. So far, none of my Targets have even registered having the Storm set in stock. So I haven't even had a chance to try and beat the street date.
  3. Nothing I’ve seen from Pulse since they began would make me think that. 🙂
  4. I don't know as I buy that theory. I preordered MK with Paypal on presumably the same day as everyone else (since preorders sell out right away), and had no issue.
  5. The short, unfortunate answer is that we shouldn’t even be calling it preordering; it’s more like the Walgreens Lottery.
  6. My first theater movie was the previous year's Sesame Street: Follow That Bird, so you can well imagine the sound of my bones creaking as I type this. 🙂
  7. Good god, talk about too much of a good thing. Anyone got any DPCI numbers?
  8. Sure, and I can even put up with any cancellation reason that makes sense. Store runs out of product, ah, well, my bad luck. I enter the wrong billing or shipping information, my mistake. It's just when no explanation is apparent--or forthcoming when solicited--that I start to feel a way about it.
  9. I just got an email yesterday saying my Iron Man 2020 preorder was canceled. I used their chat support to ask why, and was basically told that it happens sometimes and they don't know why and they can't say it won't happen again. I actually don't care all that much about IM2020, but I'm going to be absolutely LIVID if this plays out again with Moon Knight.
  10. Wish I'd waited, that's a price I could have easily paid without feeling hosed.
  11. Amazon sent me an email saying they canceled my Winter Soldier, so I went over to Pulse and ordered it there. I saw that Pulse had Crossbones in stock, so I figured I'd cancel my Amazon preorder and just get them both from Pulse. But then my Amazon order page told me I'd be getting Crossbones "tomorrow by 8pm", so I just ordered Winter Soldier. Not 15 minutes later, Amazon sent me an email saying they canceled my Crossbones. It was like some incredibly niche Seinfeld bit.
  12. Went to a Target tonight during my break. Got there just before closing, took a look around, went back to the office. Two hours later, I get an email notification saying Red Hulk is in stock in my area. At that Target only. Oy vey.
  13. In the past couple weeks, I’d say I’ve hit about 10 Targets (some multiple times), 5 Walgreens, 2 Gamestops, and a Walmart. In all those I saw no Dooms, 1 She Hulk (in the wrong place), and the rest of the FF a good 5 or so times each. For Spidey, I’ve seen Vulture, White Rabbit, Shang Chi, and Ock exactly once each. The two Spidey game costumes are everywhere.
  14. I'm mostly in the same boat. I bought the comic-version Superman (because, frankly, I've never regretted buying a Superman toy) and he looks pretty good, but I'm not starting the entire damn DC universe over again in a new scale. I can certainly agree on Doom, but I've honestly seen Sue twice at two different Targets since the weekend.
  15. That Skrull/Paladin custom is a hell of an idea. I’m even tempted to use it, and I already have actual Skrull grunts.
  16. I’ve never seen Mystique, and the one time it was available on the Walgreens website, they canceled the order on me.
  17. Mileage may vary, and I'll never work too hard to defend Last Stand. I just feel that of the two bad movies, X3 had slightly more for me to care about (even if the lion's share of that care comes from the work done by the previous two movies).
  18. Easily believable to me. Apocalypse was way worse than Last Stand, no reason to believe everyone involved suddenly got better.
  19. Thanks! I’ll take the chance, my Targets have all been desolate since the holidays.
