  1. Well despite having in hand the Vault and Joe set (Luckily both arrived MIMB) I still haven't received my Raft of Black Series. If my Vault comes in MIMB (not holding my breath) I'll keep it, if not, it's going right back to Hasblow and I don't even need an exchange in that scenario because truth be told, I think the Raft is complete trash lol. Due to being an OCD completionist, I still tell myself I need to buy every thing, even if it's crap, but that Raft...man that thing is pushing my limits! I guess that's my quirk lol
  2. It's ok to not see my point...that's the beauty of opinions sir. Bursting my bubble because your sharing world first exclusive news about an upcoming Wolverine Wave with 0% confirmation to support it? News flash...I would LOVE Hasbro to burst that bubble wide open by doing a Wolverine wave! BRING IT HASBRO! Being a grizzled veteran Hasbro collector who typically exercises his viewpoints and opinions with a dash of pragmatism and a sprinkle of pessimism...I do whole heartedly enjoy your fervent optimism about these theoretical upcoming waves seeing release because if I'm right, we continue with Hasbros current status quo but if you're right, we're getting a whole lot more legends than I predict so I'm clearly in favor of your theories becoming a reality at the end of the day, make no mistake! I collect the line in its entirety so if Hasbro wants to release 20 waves a year the count me in friend. As far as Gambit Movie...I'm once again aware that there's a "Gambit Movie" out there but there was also a confirmed "Fantastic Four sequel" in the works until about 24 hours after this summers movie hit theaters...and then that confirmed sequel (which had a release date and current cast under contract to make) was "quietly" brought out to the barn and shot in the head. You seem to be a Gambit fan so I hope the movie does see the light of day but with Fox taking like 10 years to actually get a deadpool movie out there and just there complete inane incompetence which results in movies/projects constantly getting shuffled around/canceled...I don't hold my breath for any Fox comic movie coming out until it's actually out as they're just a hot mess over there lol and imo, most of their movies easily reflect that.
  3. If we can progress to at least two full XMEN Waves a year like we get with Spidey each year, we will all see our wishlists become a reality in due time.
  4. Yes...I'm aware. The point is, not burst your bubble, is that we will never see a "Gambit" wave. We are now getting XMEN waves (thank god) and the possibly of a classic FF wave is super exciting for next year but we will likely not see a Wolverine wave let alone a Gambit wave. They could have made a Deadpool themed wave with plenty of xforce characters/DP variants and sold the waves by the truckloads but they just don't care. Deadpool was Fox's most profitable movie ever thanks to its $45 million budget but it all just doesn't matter in the end because Hasbro doesn't control 100% of what they do even though they will always play devils advocate against the theory. Gambit fig being packed into an XMEN wave the year that movie (if it ever does) comes out? HIGHLY likely. A wave of Gambit comic themed characters? Just won't happen. I'm not saying i agree with Hasbros logic but I THINK that's the reality we live in. Knowing how Hasbro has been structuring their legends waves combined with the eternal pissing match they have with Fox...it just is what it is. I would love Habsro to pull up their big boy pants and make me eat my words but they seem pretty content on not fixing what they clearly think is not broke...
  5. Good lists dude but we will never get a gambit wave lol Hasbro doesn't do "Fox" waves
  6. To your point, I think it's more "when" they get done versus "if" as I would love a Mary and especially, a Deodato V. I'm only operating under this logic based on 2015s poll where as 3/4 of the top 4 finalists are getting made. Plus, with next year being a Spidey Movie year, I think there's an at least decent chance we actually might get 3 waves of Spidey next year (we already know one wave for sure obviously) and with a possible two more waves before 2017 years end, I do sincerely think a Mysterio is a strong candidate for release next year. Considering we always get two Spidey waves a year and also considering 2015s & 2016s summer movies got 3 waves, a 2017 Spidey movie year (we all know how much more marvel input Homecoming has over ASM2) closing out with 3 waves doesn't seem that crazy to me in the slightest.
  7. I was able to pick up the Deluxe 3.75 Falcon recently and it does look great. I collect both scales in their entirety and want them both to succeed equally. Not every figure Is crap but there sure are some sore spots. Overall though, including the recently unveiled 2017 Wave 1, there have been 69 single carded 3.75 releases since the line dropped the "Marvel Universe" branding in 2014 and the amount of good figures released far outweighs the amount of crappy ones in my opinion so I'm not complaining as much as most people. The character variety has been absolutely incredible too so regardless of an individual characters quality when it gets released, I do give Hasbro some points in the "selection" category. As far as Polaris; going off the assumption that we are only now getting one XMEN Wave a year and not more than 1, I would say Warlock will fit in nicely into the summer 2017 lineup. If that does wind up being the case, they do have quite some time to throw a different/better head on her. Unlike most people, I doubt we will see the rest of the Warlock Wave at NYCC and ToyFair 2017 seems much more likely. I however would have ZERO problem with Hasbro proving me wrong on this point!
  8. Gotcha. So what constitutes the ability to order wholesale? Owning your own business? Just curious is all.
  9. May I ask if you order retail or wholesale from EE? I only ask as I know retail customers get their orders well in advance of wholesale customers. Outside of that, I'm not sure what the hold up on your end is. I ordered Jnaut, Space Venom and Abomb went they went live on June 1st so I know I'm part of the "early" shipments and XMEN & Venom arrived July 1st I believe but you made it sound like you ordered them fairly early as well so again, does seem odd that you haven't received them. The only other thing that I can think of is maybe I have a "priority mailing" status with them due to the large volume of business I throw their way every year? Probably not likely as my money isnt any more special than anyone else's but idk man, just throwing darts at the board I guess.
  10. Yeah same here. Hit up a local Walmart and TRU today and was able to grab the 3.75 Falcon (still no luck on the 3-pack) and at Walmart, definitely saw the new planos in action. They had just unpacked the 12 inch Spidey, Iron Man and Cap and since they were case fresh pristine mint, I picked up those 3 but yeah, no sign of Bucky/Falcon. Abomb wave will be arriving at my doorstep tomorrow from EE but I couldn't begin to guess where that wave is actually slotted as far as retail gos. As far as XMEN go, I really gotta hand it to Hasbro for actually getting this damn wave out there. I've seen the wave at just about every store and even the full wave twice across several Walgreens combined. I have an army of Deadpools now with no intend to Ebay them but rather for growing a mass collection of Tacos...every legend needs a taco.
  11. Nice score on the 3.75 Falcon! Me and my buddies hit a couple stores this weekend and we couldn't find the TRU legends pack, 3.75 falcon or the Walmart Bucky/Falcon but we somehow all managed to grab extra deadpools lol. I found one at TRU and my buddies both found theirs at Walgreens (they had the employees grab him from the stockroom) I'm not too worried about the TRU 3pack because if they even ship them at half the quantity they did with the Shield Set, they will be everywhere eventually. Punisher isn't out yet but whenever he does come out, he will be super easy to find in my area. I'll give to the end of the year to find the wave 2 & 3 of the comic packs and if no dice by Dec 26th, I'll just order them off eBay-I can't go into a new year with anything left over from the previous years lines lol REALLY bothers me but I don't think it will be a big deal tracking them down at the END of the day.
  12. XMEN Waves: 1. Old Man Logan 2. Jim Lee Sabertooth 3. Blink 4. Colonel Stryker 5. Kane 6. Maverick 7. Raza 8. Weapon X Wolverine BAF: Silver Samurai 1. Savage Land Wolerine 2. BoneBreaker 3. Lady Deathstrike 4. Morph 5. Senyaka 6. Cameron Hodge Phalanx 7. Space Wolverine 8. Nightcrawler BAF: Tusk 1. Spy Wolverine 2. Corsair 3. Omega Red 4. Jim Lee Storm 5. Marvel Now Mageneto 6. Spiral 7. Forge 8. Trevor Fitzroy BAF: WARSTAR 1. Street Clothes Logan 2. Maverick 3. AGENT X 4. X-Cutioner 5. ANAD Wolverine 6. Sebastian Shaw 7. Marvel Now Mystique 8. Jim Lee Toad BAF: Random
  13. Tarot, Is there a reason you have Mandroid broken into Wave 1 & 2 but not the same for Green Goblin which had a Wave 1 & 2 (despite being 1 BAF) just like Mandroid? This in turn would make the Jackal wave, Wave 7. Also, is there a reason you have Warlock listed as XMEN wave 2 when Jubilee was the first XMEN wave we for with Jnaut being the second? I don't really care all that much and I'm certainly not trying to "nit-pick" I was just simply curious on your thought process is all. Thanks.
  14. Make no mistake, there is no better feeling than a successful hunt as collector ending with a score on the fig you've been looking for...but certain collectors have different circumstances. I was very very fortunate to have such an awesome dad (and mom) that truly enjoyed taking their son out to retailers every weekend to hunt for the figs he wanted growing up and they always did their best to try and make me happy so again, I'm extremely fortunate and had zero complaints from my childhood. The fondest memories of hunting are with my dad more than my friends as we would get pretty crazy back in the day and would only hit retailers at night during the holidays so we could pallet shop to our hearts content lol. While I was first introduced to toys with Gi Joes (and they are still my favorite toys to this day as a result) I'll never forget walking into a Walmart with my dad in 1995 when I was 8 years old and the whole aisle was STAR WARS (the first year Hasbro made SW toys) and he's like "hey boy, do you like these?" As a kid who was already obsessed with the movies but had no SW toys to play with until that point, my answer was a resounding "YES" lol So from basically the early/mid 90s, every week there was a hunt to go on for whatever the newest SW, Spawn, Gi Joe or Marvel wave was out at the time. The hunting never stopped until about 2010-2012 and that is when I would say I switched to EE. The point is, back in the day, it really wasn't hard to find what you needed from some decent weekend hunting as distribution was NOTHING like what it is today...today you could hit more than 5 stores and still walk away empty handed on a variety of lines. Back in the glory days, if you hit 5 or more stores in one day, you walked away with something, if not close to everything you needed if your timing was right. Again as someone who has owned every single spawn, marvel legends, Joe and SW fig from every wave of every line I collected since the early 90s...you can do the math on the amount of hunting I've done lol But alas I'm 29 and have a wife, a small child, several other hobbies and a demanding career so pretty much the ONLY way I can get every fig from every wave of every line i collect is through etailers, based on the time I have available. Plus, even if I had all the time in the world, the action figure market place is SO different and distrobution is SO different than it used to be in years past, the time investment required these days on hunts is just ABSURD and It's not even close to a fraction of the fun it once was in the glory of yesteryears... Case in point, the launch of Revenge of the Sith back in 2005 was classic Hasbro movie launch at its finest. You walk into a Target and just about the whole damn aisle was SW with LITERALLY hundreds of figures on the pegs. If memory serves correct, ROTS launched with at least 3-4 full waves of basic figs which was around 25 figs right out of the gate. My FIRST trip to the FIRST store I went to, I found every figure minus like 1-2 and then just hit a second store and found those couple I was missing. Fast forward 10 years to Ep7, which was like 10x more anticipated than Ep3 and the "main SW line" (6in black series) launched with one wave consisting of 5 figures and simply ask any SW collector how RIDICULOUS it was to try and track down those 5 figs on day one... Now obviously I just had my crap preordered online but I remember my buddy who manages my local TRU texting me that before they opened the doors up at midnight for the "Force Friday" launch, there was over 100 people in line outside the store and he says they only received THREE cases of black series...less than 20 figures for that many people. Sure...that movie line launch makes plenty of sense right? (Yes, I know my sarcasm is heavy handed) But hey...that's just my $0.02
  15. Considering any of these choices will most certainly be slotted into a wave at 1 per case and contain a BAF piece, I'm pretty sure they run little risk of sell through with respect to any other figure from said wave. Most "peg warmers" are either hanging out on the shelf with a missing BAF piece due to scumbags that want to collect the line but feel stealing is more appropriate...or clear overproduction of the wave (looking at you AllFather)...or simply due to Hasbro's consistently terrible case pack ratios which almost necessitate guaranteed lifers on the pegs. 6 figure waves produce the most peg warmers REGARDLESS of the wave and if Hasbro just pulled their pants up and produced nothing less than 7-8 figure waves all the time AND gave the double(s) proper ratios AND properly shipped them (better to under ship than over ship as far as retailer health is concerned) than we would barely have any warmers ever. Also, what's mostly ignored but is very important, is the exponential proliferation of collectors getting their figures through online etailers by the set/case like me. So, as being part of the problem with regards to directly contributing to "figures not selling on the shelf" since I buy online; here's an example: Most stores (generally speaking) get 2-5 cases of a wave with replenishment on an as needed/availability basis. Yes I know that different stores in different areas can have greatly varying numbers but purely for arguements sake, let's say 2-5 cases. My personal collecting community is myself, 3 friends and my father and we all live very close to one another. We almost all collect whatever line we collect in its entirety or close enough to it. So let's say we bought our figures at retailers and we walk into a target and see an endcap with 5 cases of the XMEN wave on it...we would clean the endcap COMPLETELY and walk to the registers with our shopping carts of over $1000 in legends and go home happy. Other collectors would walk in and see an empty section and be like "damn, these figures are going to be hard to find" Now play out the same scenario but with us all ordering our cases from online (EE) We all walk into that target and see 5 cases of XMEN on the shelf...we would be like "oh cool, Hasbro actually pumped them out to retail" and then we would just walk away and leave the section untouched. Other collectors come in and see the section and are like "damn, these figs wound up not being that hard to find afterall" At the end of the day, my friends and I are making it much easier for the collectors/scalpers in our area to find stuff but if we all bought at retail, and you lived in our area, we all would be making your collecting FIVE TIMES as hard. Something to think about I suppose.
  16. Going to into Walmart makes my skin crawl so keep up the good reporting guys!
  17. Well Hasbro beat their record of 6 waves last year with 7 this year so while it might be nice to think we will get two more waves this year...I sincerely doubt we will see 9 waves before years end. Have to remember that the Fall season belongs to Star Wars while Legends rule the spring/summer. I would absolutely LOVE Hasbro to prove me wrong as I would be all for 9 legends waves a year but pretty sure it won't be this year. Next year however it could be quite possible to think we might see 3 full Spidey waves versus the standard two considering Homecoming comes out. Plus, when you factor in that there "could" be a full wave of Netflix figs and possibly even FF, in addition to the guaranteed additional XMEN figs we will see...2017 might just climb to 9 waves but at the least, I'm sure we will 7 again guaranteed. My wallet is telling Hasbro to BRING IT!
  18. Nice rundown Tarot! My hands down favorites of the waves: Spidey Wave 7: JACKAL If by the grace of God we actually get a Shocker...Jackal slinks to #2 for me. Regardless...we NEED more classic and and obscure Spidey bad guys like Jackal...like badly. Xmen Wave 3: DAZZLER If 90s ShatterStar or Maverick wind up rounding out the wave by chance, then she will roller skate down to #3 for me. GOTG Wave 2: ANGELA Darkhawk as an easy #2 for me and nothing else about the wave excites me...at all. Dr. Strange: IMMORTAL IRON FIST Nico is #2 right behind Rand but as someone who believes the Immortal run by Fraction/Aja is by far the greatest Iron Fist tale ever written/drawn, I couldn't be more excited for the fig. The rest of wave bores me to no end and I've found Strange to be a boring character for the most part in the comics so I guess the wave reflects my feelings about the good Dr. If only Jason Aaron had been writing the character for the past 50 years...id be much more invested lol but I'm stoked for the movie because Marvel delivers on the MCU side and I have very little doubt that it won't be a great movie.
  19. Target XMEN DPCI: 087-06-5418 Punch this number is manually at the price checkers and you can always see if it's located in the backroom but that's only if it's actually scanned into a bay and is not representative of the current "on hand" counts-that is something an employee would have to tell you and can do so easily when you give them the DPCI. Of course, they can't tell you which "figs" are available, but will still be helpful to people who don't have any of the figs yet regardless.
  20. Just got back from my target again and they now have the reset done since my trip yesterday. They had the shelves/pegs FULL with pretty much everything minus Wave 2 of the comic packs and the XMEN pegs (DPCI #087-06-5418) were completely empty lol. They did have full cases of the civil war 3 pack and the war machine/90s vomit armor iron man exclusive plus a full case of MU wave 3 which I found most surprising. I bought an extra Hydro Man for my kids next bath lol. 2 exclusives down...4 to go!
