  1. Humm so are they going for like X-Factor costumes now? Anyway...like GoiBill said, I also want to be excited, but I am on the fence. X-Men are my favorite marvel characters of all time. I watched the cartoons (all of them, even the bad ones) read all the comics until the beginning of 2003, but my life changed and I dropped comics all together, unfortunately. Now it's complicated to get back and I'm not sure about the marvel storytelling anymore. But back to the movies, despite the good and the bad I feel like they never been treated right. If the Fox/Disney deal really goes through, I really hope that they have all that they deserve. To me the best stories are in the 90's and I want to see them in the silverscreen, but done properly.
  2. Great review Jay. Apparently this is a hole new sculpt, right? This is a great addition for all of tose who finally want to finish their sinister six. Or at least have all the classic Spider Man villains. Hasbro took too long to give us that Doc Ock. Like you said the only downside of this figure are the lack of bendy wires. I don't really think that they will put that on figures anytime soon. At least not in figures like this and Omega red will not have them either.
  3. It would be a great character for season 3, more at the end as like a consequence of the actions of Daredevil and then they develop her more in the next season or something like that. For the figure itself, I think even not know a lot about the character, the figure is great and Hasbro is keeping up the trend of improvements on the head sculpts for female characters. Her face is perfect. The rest of the figure is also very nice, but too bad that they are toning down the sexyness. I guess Black Cat was the last very sexy character they did. On the same topic of female figures, I hope that they re-release that A Force boxset separately, because we also had some solid figures there like Elsa and Sif.
  4. Very interesting, but considering how (at least for me) the only real good figure from the first wave was Wolverine, I don't knw if they will put too much effort on these new figures. It will mostly be repaints. Throw some unmasked heads here and there, a couple of hands and that's it. About the X-Men themed wave, I agree with most of you, but I think that Jean grey would be on her Marvel Girl costume and perhaps they could put a classic Beast too. They will mostly reuse body molds and already sculpted heads with some repaints. Hopefully not like Black Widow with MJ head. That was not good. An all white Iceman with some ice effect would be very very nice. Remember that awful boxset of classic X-Men they did?
  5. This is a very solid figure. I wish they put hinges in the repulsor firing hands so you can make some other poses as well. The paint is good, except for the arc reactor and the flaps in the back are sure a great addition. Is it just me, or ths one looks a little bigger than the other armors that they have done from mark 42 on? And on another note, considering that they actually took the time to design and put the flaps on this figure, why not put the wings on the Mark 50 also?
  6. Except for not having alternative arms or hands like Warlock and Sandman, Apocalypse is a great BAF. The size brothers me, but not that much. The lack of display options is more disappointing. But the sculpt is great and that angry expression is awesome. Overall the figure as the whole wave is very good. One of the best. This look for Magneto is not my favorite, but as far as the figure goes is a very solid one. The magnetic effects could be different, but that's the source material. The fact that it comes with the unmasked head is a great addition. Definitely a must have.
  7. I am a huge X-Men fan. The main stories for me were on the 90's, so this wave is very special to me. The last two were also great with Cyclops and Rogue specially. But this Wolverine and Psylocke, mainly Wolverine, man... Having this tjist would be like reliving my teenage years. That cartoon still is one one the things that ever happened in TV. Might seem kinda silly, but untill this day is one of my favorites. Hasbro knocked out the ballpark with this one.
  8. This is indeed a very solid set. The box is very nice and is a change of theme. However, somethings are quite disappointing. Mainly the head sculpts. Considering the recent improvement for the MCU figures, O feel like except for Jessica's the others are very underwhelming. I hope doesn't the line when they release the figures as single carded, they improve it. At least the paint job. Also Luke is definitely missing the hoodie. When the review comes we'll see it in more detail.
