In my opinion, as a general rule, if the critics hate it its gotta be good. The critics mostly hate anything that has a budget of over 50k and isn't starring some reputable actor doing an indie stint on his "time off". Sometimes a movie is just good fun, fantasy & fiction. Personally I've heard it's not half bad, even good if you're already a fan of the character. Pretty much in the same vein as the X-Men movies. Take them for what they're worth. Not every movie has to have some deep, meaningful, life affirming message. It's a cool comic book character doing crazy, impossible, fantastic things.
Sometimes that’s true, but Sony already left me with a bad memory with Topher Disgrace Venom. Plus, with movie prices today, sometimes it’s best to wait it out for Hulu or Netflix.
I’m all for fun movies but I don’t want to sit through crap either. When people (average movie goers) start comparing it’s overall value to Halle Berry’s Catwoman, that’s a legitimate red flag.
However, enough of friends have viewed it recently and their take is comparable to JC’s. Most of the issues seem typical of your standard comic movie. Confusing plot points, weak supporting characters, and a bland villain. What I’m happy to hear is that almost everyone is praising the Eddie/Venom component. Tom Hardy reportedly did a good job with the character. It’s even outperforming box office predictions, so it can’t be completely terrible. With all that taken into consideration, I may check it out when I can get a night without the kids.

Excellent recap, appreciate all the collected information being pull together in one area. Hasbro has been pumping out Legends like crazy and not just a bunch of Spider-Man/Wolverine variants. We’re actually getting obscure characters highly prized by collectors: Sauron, Wendigo, Shadow King, etc. This a golden era for collecting. Thanks again for sharing the info and pics. Great work!

I was really on the fence about this movie. Was initially going catch it, but after the horrendous reviews I was gonna pass. However, word of mouth has been far more positive than the critics. Most of the complaints were about the story and supporting characters, the actual depiction of Venom seems to be receiving some praise. After hearing your take on it as well, I may check it out after all.

Yes! Kingpin is back, Bullseye is being introduced, everything is shaping up well. Looks great, can’t wait!

Definitely the best 6-inch figure version of Professor X. Hasbro is really working overtime to cover the entire Marvel Universe in a relatively short period of time. They’re even picking up the minor stuff, like adding accessories to create the Shadow King. Really enjoying this new direction, they’ve succeeded in reviving my interest in the Marvel Legends line.

As a MCU Hulk, I don't love this Hulk, but it DOES look like a cool comic-based Hulk, as someone mentioned. Other than that, these are beautiful figures. I'd rather get 4 and 1/2 Marvel Legends that one of these, but if someone has the budget, they are fantastic.
Yesssss!!!! Figures like Green Goblin and Dr. Doom would be amazing. I'd love to see, in particular, their interpretations of Rocket, Groot, Dr. Strange, and Thanos.
All great suggestions. Love to see unlikey characters as well. Go wild, give us Samurai Hulk, Abomination, Wendigo, etc. Just crazy awesome designs.

Yeah? Well Red Skull just had designs on world domination. Making a decent superhero TV show in this day and age? THAT'S hard.
True, superhero shows are a dime a dozen today, only a few tend be worth anything and even fewer last beyond the early seasons before they become too drawn out.

I want to see Hemsworth hanging out with the guardians of the galaxy
That would be great, they could tackle more powerful characters if they bring him into the fold.

Yeah it seems like smaller companies like DST and DC Collectibles more an more are gravitating to doing more statues and less action figures. I personally kinda feel you have so many companies making statues of the same characters over and over its getting kinda ridiculous but I am sure statues are cheaper to make and can be cranked out faster than action figures so they can produce smaller runs and still be profitable which is why they do them.
Understandable but still disappointing. Some of the best figures were produce under the Marvel Select line.

This season has me worried. Not that I think it'll be bad, just disappointing. I mean once you've battled legions of half-dead blood harvesting ninjas led by your formerly dead ex-girlfriend through the skeletal remains of a massive dragon deep beneath the streets of New York city, street crime, even led by the Kingpin himself, just seems kind of... meh.
Still, I have a lot riding on this one. As so far, every other Netflix/Marvel show this year has been a letdown in one way or another. Whether it's Jessica Jones who's character arch is apparently a flat line, Luke Cage who pretty much just half-a$$ed the entire season, or Iron Fist's merciless costume teasing and ridiculous ending (Danny Rand, master of gun-fu), I was hoping for better.
While I agree on the lackluster 2nd seasons for JJ, Cage, and IF...don’t take Kingpin lightly. Red Skull did that, didn’t end well for him.

I love the Samurai themed figures. Hope to continue with it and make more of the villains.

October 19th can’t come fast enough, love the Facebook tagline: To stop a demon, you have to become the Devil.

That Caliban figure is epic. Ever since he came became a horseman, I’ve loved his design. Really looking forward to the wave. Hopefully they do another Cull Obsidian that has a movie accurate design to go with the rest of the Black Order figures.

He was hilarious as the Human Torch.
Agreed, but Johnny Storm is no Steve Rogers. At the time, I was not convinced of his versatility as an actor. But after seeing his work in MCU and other roles, such Snow Piercer, I now know my opinion was wrong.

This is a great statue (figurine), it really embodies everything the makes up the modern depiction of Deadpool.

I love the idea of the Iron Spider, but in terms of the story, it really makes Spider-Man rather OP in comparison to his normal capabilities. MCU Spider-Man was already shown to be no slouch in the strength department with the way he was throwing around cars in fight with Cull Obsidian. At this point, his only real weakness is his inexperience. It makes sense to have the suit for Infinity War level events, but how will the suit play into future movies? Even if the suit is destroyed, the only way it realistically stays destroyed is if Tony dies in the Infinity War sequel as well.

Kudos to Hasbro, this is an excellent lineup. They really outdid themselves with Corvus Glaive and Ebony Maw, those two look great.

I’ll admit that when Evans was 1st announced as Cap, I was not behind the decision due to his performance as the Human Torch. I didn’t think he could depict the nobility and virtue of Steve Rogers. I was so wrong.
Evans has been an excellent Captain America and he will be missed. If the sequel to Infinity War is his final act, I hope he goes out with honor.
