'Marvel's Cloak & Dagger' Cancelled After Two Seasons
abnuggler replied to Outsiders's topic in Marvelous News's General Area
Cant say Im surprised, I dont think I even finished the first season, the series started out intresting but got really boring and long winded by mid season without anything of importance really happening, I tend to give almost every super hero (or super hero adjacent) shows a chance from the begining, some have been great, others not so much, and others have started strong and just died down with the passing of the seasons, but I tend to at least watch the first season of each show to get a real sense of what they plan to do, and this one was probably one of the worst shows Ive seen in a while (just a personal thought) but it never really got my attention and it felt like I was watching the show forcefully just to try and give it a shot. With Disney + getting more cohesive mcu centered shows I think the right move for Marvel is just to let all the shows that are on other platforms/channels die out and eventually do their own take if the characters are warranted a show.- 14 replies

Ill have to wait for better pictures (probably even reviews of the figure once it releases) but basing on just how it looks overall (proportions and overall look, not taking articulation into account) Im kind of thinking the Figuarts one looks a little better, I dont know if its the head or what it is but for some reason it looks kind of weird.

seeing as this is only a 6 figure wave im betting that the baf will be one of the bigger sized characters, Im also really hoping its one of the b-list characters since im only planning on getting a couple of the figures in this wave that way I could pass on the BAF and wont need to buy figures I dont care for to get the rest of the BAF pieces

fantastic four Fantastic 4 wave 2
abnuggler replied to leokearon's topic in Marvel Legends Figure Discussion
my Picks for Wave 2 are the following: 1. Triton 2. Crystal 3. She-Hulk in the classic F4 Costume (though since we are getting the new female Hulk figure in wave 1 I dont think they'd do another she-hulk so close to the last one, this figure could be exchanged for Karnak) 4. Amazing Bagman (I dont know if spidey could be used in this wave or he has to be released in a spiderman wave, if he cant then replace this one with Moleman) 5. Firelord 6. Kang BAF for waves 1 and 2 Uatu and Super Skrull (in any order), Ill leave Annihilus for a future F4 Movie wave (since he could might be the villian) with most figures of that wave being MCU figures and a couple comic figures (other inhumans we havent gotten)- 43 replies

nope I dont think anyonw who knows a little about how thigs work in the real world is more like "It was just a matter of time" jajaja, we all knew that with the success of this Spiderman movies it was in both studio's best intrest to keep the money train rolling (Marvel just wanted a biggercut of the pie, were as sony didnt want to give too much away, it was just a matter of them finding the right number both could live with) Sony knows that getting on Disney's bad side wasnt the best move since not only they havent prooved yet they could handle the property by themselves and a backlash of Disney fans could really hurt their boxoffice on future movies and Marvel Studios knew they had invested too much (storywise) in the character to just let him go that easily, I mean Im sure there was a real posibility that both studios would end up not making the deal but it was more likely they were just negotiating to get a deal that felt good for both studios.

I dont know it theyll do a 3-pack or not (though putting them in a 3 pack would be the best way to go) but Im sure that at least thor and ironman how they looked in the final battle scene will most likely be made sooner or later, ironman will have the gauntlet and the tony head without the helmet and thor will probably just be a re mold of the infinity war thor with a modded abdomen (for the added gut) and a new long hair bearded head

I had the same idea 😁, aIready have mine preped for paint though I was trying to find a way to give her a pearlecent white paint and havent been able to find one that could work, might just end up doing what you did, great job.

Didnt really think I needed this figure till I saw the review, now my warlock baf is waiting for some companions. Since I dont really care for this version of Wolfsbane I was thinking of just getting 2, but I might have to get 3 to put a Magik head on the third one (I think I can find a copy of the Magic head and would fit ok on this mold just would need a slight mod to the neck hole)

Marvel Select 7" Sandman Figure Video Review And Images
abnuggler replied to JayC's topic in Marvelous News's General Area
Decent looking figure, I was waiting to see how this figure looked, still I think Ill stick with the ML Baf for my collection since I already have that, if I didnt I'd probably pick this one up since its most likely going to be cheaper to get this than get the complete BAF, though as is I kind of like the overall desing of the BAF better -
90's Toybiz X-Men Figures: Who's Next?
abnuggler replied to Chunkylover's topic in Marvel Legends Figure Discussion
Ive been dreaming of a Maverick figure for so long I was starting to think I was pretty much the only one out there who wanted one, glad to see some love for Maverick out there, a figure of him would be amazing. -
I agree I never thought too much for the white costume though I have to say in this figure it looks cool, I wouldnt buy it since its not my cup of tea, but the figure itself looks cool (just doesnt seem too much like Magneto to me), the other issue I have with this is that the white fabric is going to be hell to keep clean just like the moonknight figure (yet another reason I wouldnt spend 80+ on this figure) but im sure there are many other who will, so kudos to mezco for that. Also lately the new mezco releases seem to have less and less accesories and still the price keeps going up, I dont like that.

Marvel Legends Cowboy Logan Figure Video Review And Images
abnuggler replied to JayC's topic in Marvelous News's General Area
I really dislike the eye inserts hasbro does with some of these wolverine figures, I can see what they are trying to do but usually they cause more problem to the consumers cause they hardly ever look right, and they have too many thing that can go wrong with its assembly that most figures have issues and its a drag to find a decent looking one (its always wether the eye insert was glued on right or wrong which will make the eyes look bad, or if the actual eyelid holes were molded and cut right to fit the insert or else the eyes will barely be visible, or even if the eyes were painted right on the insert and it doesnt make them look crosseyed or droopy). Personally I think hasbro should just stick to the eyes being painted on instead of being different molded pieces that are glued together. -
New Line Of 6" Marvel Legends Re-Issues?!?
abnuggler replied to JayC's topic in Marvelous News's General Area
These were announced a couple months ago already, I think they were first released in hong kong as re-releases but it could be a posibility, though I dont see how this would work, it basically uses the same amount of plastic the regular packaging uses (and hasbro already said its trying tu reduce plastic in their packaging so this isnt really an embironmental improovement), and I doubt theyll remove the baf's a lot of figures have only been sold because of the baf piece it comes with (its an added incentive to buy the figure, it would be dumb to remove that incentive and have a bunch of figures that people will never buy) -
Best Legend This Year (So Far)?
abnuggler replied to DarthOdette's topic in Marvel Legends Figure Discussion
I see your point but the head doesnt match the book grabbing hand (if we have gotten a relaxed face the hand would be nice, but as is I would have rather gotten a regular "clawing" hands (kind of like the ones on jackal) -
I dont think deadpool will be $35, Grey Hulk is going to be that price since he is a bigger figure, but deadpool will probably only be somewhere along the lines of $22 like most other regular sigle carded "special" figures coming out lately (all the variants like Big time spiderman, stealth ironman, camo punisher, etc...)
-
Itll probably just be a re-release of the 90's Deadpool from the Sasquatch wave with slight color variation if at all, Im guessing he'll also be packaged in the vintage x-men purple cardback packaging and thats why it'll be considered a "new" figure (and many people will want to get just because its deadpool and it will come in a vintage packaging)

What X-Men heavy hitters do we have left?
abnuggler replied to Benn's topic in Marvel Legends Figure Discussion
I agree, a 90's domino would definetely be cool but I dont think theyll make her anytime soon, hopefully im wrong because Id also rather have that version -
What X-Men heavy hitters do we have left?
abnuggler replied to Benn's topic in Marvel Legends Figure Discussion
I think most inf not all the heavy hitters (main characters have been done) but as for important characters in the X-Men comics that need to be done (be it for the first time or a figure that really needs a remake) Id have to say these are the following I think should be done, (I always liked Maverick a lot and would love figure of him but I think its doubtful he'll get made anytime soon). Heroes: Banshee (Green and yellow outfit) Thunderbird Rachel Grey Excalibur era (thow I think Hasbro'll probably go with the more modern suit with the trenchcoat) Longshot 90's X-Force Warpath 90's X-Force Feral 90's X-Factor Wolfsbane 90's X-Force Sunspot 90's X-Force Syrin Villians: Toad Pyro Avalanche Lady Deathstrike Sebastian Shaw Black Tom Cassidy Exodus Bastion Fabian Cortez Other costumes of characters that already have a decent figure: Storm (Giant Size Costume) Shadowcat (Classic Blue Costume) Captain Britain (Classic Excalibur Costume) Emma Frost (White costume) -
I think its the hair, it looks too stiff and just a bit to separated from the head and makes the face look weird, another thing that upon seeing the pictures ocurred to me is that the figure seems to mainly be a reuse of the regular inifinity war thor with the new gut piece wich makes the body look a little bit weird in proportions cause the arms and legs seem a little thin in comparison to his new more robust body and with the added hair and beard it makes the head look a little bigger which also throws off the original sculpt a little (I can understand why they did this to reuse sculpting and minimize costs but ultimately it makes the figure look a little weird in its overall proportions)
