  1. I just noticed that box of this sub line has reference to both 90s toybiz line as well as 2003 comics line, really neat detail, still wish they did She Hulk on 90s card though
  2. I really hope we get classic Nebula and Mantis. These two have appeared in enough movies and video games to deserve a release, honestly it's shameful we don't have their comics stye figures, but I suspect we'll see Mantis in Marvel Rivals subline before we see her in a proper comics line. They could work for mini comics line or even 2 pack with each other, since they are thematically aligned.
  3. I really wish Mafex could find a way to make this sculpt bigger, it's a great sculpt otherwise but its just way too short, like even new ball peg for torso to make him taller would work, like some do for SHF Cyclops.
  4. He literally has the narrow chest of 11 year old kid, like yeah he should be skinny but not on the level of a child who didn't hit puberty.
  5. Ball jointed waist would make this figure peak and would be another great part to reuse for future figures.
  6. While the throne and head sculpts are amazing—the throne probably has the most paint apps Hasbro has used in recent years—Mephisto's torso looks mid and feels unfinished. They didn't even bother to give him proper torso articulation. They could have easily integrated a ball joint into the waist. If it's a premium figure, it should have at least as much torso articulation as the average Marvel Legends figure. So yeah, for the price they're asking, it's not a good figure.
  7. The body looks great but I need to see how the articulation works to name it a good figure, but so far it seems to be the best Psylocke body available. But face feels too anime for my taste, especially with the extremely small mouth and lips. I would prefer a style that sits between anime and Western comics. Keeping the large anime eyes but adopting a more Western comic-style mouth and lips would be much more accurate to the game model, unless you are specifically aiming for the MVC2 art.
  8. Love how it looks! This makes me wonder how long until Hasbro gives us super articulated Black Cat, with her raising popularity I wouldn't be surprised if we get Maximum edition for her.
  9. This is almost perfect rendition of MVC Psylocke imo. And seeing SHF figure with clean legs without crazy ugly articulation feels really refreshing. My only concern is if she's gonna be too petite in height and proportions, which is often the case with female figures from Japanese companies, hopefully she's the same height as Spidey.
  10. As much as I wanted brand new bigger and more articulated Scorpion that undersized body does make perfect sense for the classic Scorpion look. I think MJ will be simple reuse of Enchantress torso with regulars arms and brand new skirt piece. Movies Goblin looks pretty good but still have to see actual reviews. I really really really hope new Beast has ball joint in the waist, if so then that figure might be contender for the figure of the year.
  11. That costume is somehow worse than MCU one, they literally put 20 panels into one side of the mask, thankfully we should have all kinds of costumes in the game just like it was in Spidey game, but imo character designs aren’t strong at all, what could be strong is the gameplay mechanic.
  12. I get what they were going for, but these heads don’t really look good to me. It’s true that Samson can be goofy but his main head is way too goofy looking. While the serious head is salvageable, it isn’t perfect in my eye either. But that body pretty decent reuse of existing parts. Speaking of that Luke Cage/Hyperion body mix, I really hope they will turn this combo into a new blank base body of bigger size that has butterflies. And fingers crossed we get decent Cap Britain on that.
  13. I really expected way more in terms on paint job, something considerably more elaborate than just a white overspray mimicking frosting but seeing just a clear figure is disappointing, although I do believe that Mafex will do frosted variant in a year or so, to me pattern is clear: most of their figures in last 3 years are slowly getting more and more lazy, there's obviously good elements in each but bad outweighs it with each release.
  14. I just realized that FF Sue's torso will work great for Super articulated Mystique kitbash, acetone should remove those lines easy as well as legs, replacing shoulders inside butterflies is little tricky, might damage it if not careful but nothing impossible.
  15. I really hope that this figure won't postpone potential blue/black repaint of the Retro carded Apocalypse, it could even work in Gamer verse line.
