  1. Lighter colors really improved the look, now thanks to this mask detail stands out, previous figure was way too dark as much as I love the color shade on it's own, ideally I would prefer something in between these two but I'm definitely taking new one over the old, especially cape wise, these old "collar" capes really overstayed their welcome.

  2. Super articulated Carol is amazing! Although I have my nitpicks, mainly I would love to see Hasbro challenge themselves and try to make thigh cuts hidden by boots overlay, either something close to how they make Wolverine boots on how they did Hulk's lower leg jeans that were soft plastic overlay, yes it would have been hard but so much cooler and aesthetically pleasing, I could also argue about musculature and buffness but Carol isn't really drawn muscular as often.

Superior Spidey is almost pefect, proportions and sculpting is truly impressive but sadly they had to put something weird such as elongated crotch/"diaper piece", like they were so close to making perfect Spider-man body but I guess something has to go wrong.

The only knock I have for this set is the use of that tired old terrible Sunfire model. Now it's not so back because Hank has never been portrayed as a bigger type guy. Aside from the fact that he's an actual giant man at times. Also it stays consistent with the body they used for the best Ant-Man figure but that body model just has to be retired. It does have it's uses but Hasbro's tendency to use it as the IN BETWEEN body types has ruined more figures than it helps.

It would be super serviceable body if it had Falcon's or Shang Chi's shoulders, it's funny that even after "pinless-fication" of that mold they kept these old tiny shoulders instead of updating them, some might think shoulders are secondary and not at all important but it gives figure whole different silhouette.

-Saved She-Hulk for a Hulk wave and used either Madame Masque or that purple armored Sasha Hammer

There's even some similarity in how She Hulk is posed here vs old ToyBiz Hulk line. Hopefully we get another She Hulk in possible Hulk retro line with more serious and angry looking head sculpts, this new body had a lot of reuse mileage.

If you mean the Iron Man and War Machine figure, first War Machine was all comic. Iron Man was comic, MVC (because of the cannon) AND animated and that was only because of one head. These aren't animated. They are comic.

Retro War Machine with white instead of silver was animated deco, So was the Iron man with MVC canon, they already did comic book versions of these before. If you wanna argue they are somehow all comics fine but that won't change that these were intended as animated inspired decos.

No. It's not an animated line. They are only using the card to sell COMIC figures.

First two figures of the line were ANIMATED, it's obvious they gonna have comic book figures too that why I said it's technically animated because it started as such same way Spidey line is *technically* animated that mixes both animated and comics figures.

  7. It also seems that not only his arms are new but shoulders as well, they appear bigger and clearly don't have the same muscle striations as Vulcan body mold shoulders. Really makes that body mold appear even more muscular and super heroic, it just sad that it's done for 60 year old Magneto and likely won't be ever reused for guys like Punisher or USAgent, I really wish they just made new arms without any glove seams that could be reused for other glove-less characters on Vulcan body but no.. We gonna get bare skin character like Ka-zar with these unsightly glove seams.

  8. Even though there’s clear late 80s charm to her I really don’t feel the face sculpt on new She Hulk, smiling faces aren’t Hasbro’s strong quality. Previous figure headsculpts were leagues better, sad they didn’t include those old heads with new hair. Now Modular armor and Pentagon armor are really interesting, can’t wait to see more of them.

While not much of a customizer I still have decent paint skills.

Issue with this figure is that you will need to paint part of the figure that is super prone to paint rub, so it will hell on earth to avoid paint issues, even figures that are pure molded plastic are often scuffed where crotch meets upper legs.

So priming will be necessary for paint to stick as well as some sanding to avoid contact and then really good sealant like that Mr. SuperClean (sadly not available in my country and not shippable), but I guess there's always option of not moving it lol.

I also hear there's some heat treatment method that helps plastic pores open up and really absorbs paint. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Rc4LKMHC74 (Good video about this topic)

  10. I care little for this armored version of Psylocke but it's undeniable this figure has a lot of effort put into it, aside from skinny arms (for armored suit) this is amazing sculpt and the head sculpt absolutely spectacular, if you compare face apps to the previous classic Psylockes it's stunning progress, this set makes you realize that despite all the flaws and weird decisions, Hasbro does move forward and can do amazing action figures. But something tells me we might not get as much effort for the future classic version.

There is not much inaccurate about her except a bit of skin on the legs. Everything else is spot on.

For me that's a quite a bit of inaccuracy and there's very little paint on the figure anyway. it's like saying classic Batman or Superman figure that has no trunks is pretty much spot on, especially when in action figure collector business people are hunting down figures that have super minor changes like logos, lines and color shades.

  12. I really don't get why this show (and what if) is in letterbox format, it's not shown in cinemas, if anything it wold make more sense in 4:3 aspect ration like the original show but not cinematic letterbox, it's viewed on modern TVs so I really don't get why they don't give us full screen aspect ratio like the most shows and cartoons today, it's not Brian De Palma or Martin Scorsese movie to warrant that aspect ratio, if anything with IMAX rising in popularity things are moving towards seeing more of a picture not less, it's probably more of Disney issue than the Show itself.

  13. While coloring and head sculpt is done exceptionally well it's obvious to me that this body is way too skinny for Spider-Man 2099, it somehow looks even skinnier than the first mafex comic Spidey, they should have based him on something closer to Mafex Nightwing body, it's been a while since the first release of that Spider-man and  it's about time for Mafex to give new improved body for Spider-Men.
