While I like the prospect of FINALLY getting a Mystique without spaghetti legs and FINALLY getting any Destiny figure at all I do think it's a mistake packing them together. As prominent a couple they've become in the comics female figures are traditionally not strong sellers. No matter who they are. And all female multi-packs are notorious clearance shelf fuel. I bought multiples of both the A-Force and Rescue/Cap Marvel packs at massive discount. And there was a reason the Hydra & SHIELD female agent pack was Pulse only. I think a better strategy would have been a couple of 2 packs with some later Freedom Force members like Stonewall or Super Sabre or Crimson Commando. All of them are easy designs that would be simple to make with existing molds. I mean they know we're going to want them eventually anyway. And I'm not sure how well they'd sell as a set either. If they snuck Val Cooper in the line up they could have got three sets out of it. Then again I'm just a customer.

I think set will sell well enough just for the sake of it being classic Mystique, especially if they give her extra articulation like Black Widow. Even emaciated Walgreens Mystique sold like crazy, and if anything slightly lower sales might be good because collectors will be able to get this set for retail price until it eventually twice as much on after market.

On another note I’m excited to see Warbird/Ms. Marvel get another try. I wonder if they will reuse Power princess base that actually not as tall if you have her on flat feet or they will rework moonstone or even use Shriek body, which would be more lazy.

  2. Actually if you give this amazing new mold flat feet she won't be as super tall as she seems, without her platforms she probably is the same height as Vulcan body.

As mentioned above Classic Valkyrie and Sif for sure would work and look great on this body, hopefully they are coming soon, they are easily in my top for Hasbro remakes.

I don't know about Titania though, she is better off on potential upcoming new She-Hulk body mold but tbh I definitely can see Hasbro going easy way and reusing Power Princess for new classic She-Hulk.

  3. This Doc Ock looks good enough but when you compare him to Spider-Man 2 Doc from 20 years ago it feels like a less detailed figure, especially when you look at tentacles of SM2 version which is full of all kinds of details despite overall wonkiness of all toy biz figs, yet I'm just happy we got bendable tentacles on Doc Ock again and I guess progress isn't as fast we think it is.

  4. If it's Wolverine and Phoenix pack I can see few options, there's of course chance of more classic looks but since they are going for iconic covers/stories I can see them do New X-Men based set, it could be either from the possible future timeline (which btw already has Phoenix figure by Marvel select) or just Grant Morrison's New X-men costumes for Jean and Wolverine, which will start new X-Men costume line we would need to complete.

  5. If I’m not mistaken one of the first Spider-Man hot toys was based on Spider-Man 3, I wonder if they do it now cause they still somehow have access to that contract or it easier to renew existing contract, it also could be just Venom theme being in demand but I would love to hot toys try other movies too, And yes Tobey’s Spider-Man had basically the same suit for all the movies  but there were noticeable  minor changes between the movies, like lenses shape and size as well as fabric, so  I would love Hot Toys to try making super accurate 2002 and 2004 suit.

  6. I would love to see Hasbro try making Spider-Man that has all the articulation of RYV but with sculpted in web lines like toybiz days and mafex but I guess these couple of years were too Spider-Man heavy so could be a really long time until we see it.

Animated series Chameleon is also must and it’s about time for Lockjaw and other inhumans to get some love.

For easy repaints I would love to see their retro Apocalypse done in blue and black and Dark Phoenix in more metallic colors as well as in regular green.

Extremis also can be redone in more metallic red and of course blue stealth version which is highly likely.

  7. I love that Goblin Queen design for the series and yeah this isn't  the comic book style everyone wants but it's a pretty decent design and figure is done well, at least judging from promo pics, a must buy for me, she will definitely do until we get the real deal.  Cyclops and Nightcrawler are a OK, but Jean could have been better, it's obvious they did put effort with all new sculpt and all but something makes her look way too plain.

  8. Not exactly a Haul but rather a kitbash/almost custom of Emma Frost using  astonishing legs and diaper and combining it with torso from 2013 Wolverine series Emma and Black costume Emma head. Trickiest part was cutting 2013 figure and then attaching it to 2023 ball joint leg system. But overall I'm really happy with the results, I guess it's due to so called Ikea (you made it yourself) factor.

  9. This figure needed some brightening of colors, he was never this muted and they went other way around in case of Tobey, by making him too bright and now it's the same for the second time without any change. If only you could adjust coloring brightness between Tobey and Andrew and get it in the middle for both, then we would get the perfect color tones, or at least better than they are now.

  10. What makes me concerned is supposed possibility of Adam Driver, Matt Smith, Jake Gyllenhaal  and others before not liking the script, what is so terrible in it that they find it unacceptable? Of course it could be other reasons such as pay being small for that caliber of the movie. So far it seems like they should have just stuck with John Krasinski, he was never my first choice candidate but he suits Reed well and people more or less accepted him thanks to DS: MOM.
