Loki - Exclusive First-Look Trailer
SpiderS replied to Outsiders's topic in Marvelous News's General Area
It was great season finale, this time it wasn’t WandaVision’s guessing game with Mephisto all over again, it did play with our expectations but this without making us disappointed and truly having scale and range of comic book story. That office meeting was reminiscent of Immortus appearance in X-men animated series where Bishop was stuck on the time axis, maybe it was even used as inspiration as one of the few multimedia appearances of Immortus, for me as kid that scene was one of the most mysterious and intriguing scenes that would keep me up at night. In nutshell all episodes but 4th one were great, which easily makes Loki the best series as a whole and in the MCU and likely way better than at least 70 percent of MCU movies. -
Now i can't unsee torso being too long, but that's fixable, if you replace barbell joint, if it is barbell, since Hasbro uses their traditional joint that has ball on one end and simple peg that can only swivel on another end, I don't get why they keep using this instead of having full motion real balljoint that will make posing so much easier. And yeah dark cherry color would be more accurate and I bet we will receive it with another repaint for 15th anniversary of MCU.

I don't wanna be pessimistic, yes it could be first real MCU "appearance" but there's another more negative way to look at this video, since there's no real update for next Deadpool movie or even cameo rumor, it becomes apparent to me, at least from what I gather that Marvel/Disney doesn't know what to do with Deadpool, of course it could be just my own imagination, but I think Ryan is just trying to keep hype for Deadpool with clips like that while Marvel studios is still unsure what to do with Deadpool.

Yup exactly it is the belt, which on comic book render almost covers most of the abs. but then again nothing wrong with being this skimpy, he's boastful and promiscuous greek god after all, it all fits. New Legs look real good too, hopefully now they can reuse this body for other characters of similar body type.

Glad to see Rogue getting more supply, she’s again over 50 on after market, Spider Cyborg isn’t cheap either, I just wish they would produce them enough to every target has enough supply to satisfy existing demand for a year at least, but knowing what is happening with GI joe line it doesn’t seems that they have it all figured properly, which is sad. Agree about Target figure becoming eretailers exclusive after certain time be it 6 or 12 months after, if Target cannot properly fulfill their obligation online shops will, but I guess target doesn’t really care for it at all and just wants gimmick of exclusivity “only at target”.

Black Widow Hitting Theaters and Disney+ Now On July 9
SpiderS replied to JayC's topic in Marvelous News's General Area
It's not a bad movie, but it is far cry for the movie that was supposed to honor Black Widow, few interesting events fans and general audience would want to see are just mentioned in dialogue, but what events we get seem boring in comparison, it seems disappointing when you considering It wasn't cheap movie with limited budget and when you remember that Disney+ shows give us so much. There's some new characters with possibly interesting lore and past, which might be connected and interconnected with MCU world, something one would want to see but no, we don't get to see that, instead we get a lot of missed opportunities with good enough action scenes. Villain is simply weak, there's not enough focus on Natasha thanks to new characters that are at best okay when they don't try to funny, most importantly we just don't get good sense of who they are thanks to the lack of any type of past if we don't count one flashback scene that ironically could have been told by the way of Dialogue. Black Widow deserved way better and hopefully there's chance she can get better movie in the future that can cover her earlier days or that 5 year gap before endgame.- 81 replies

Animation still seems on weird side for comic book property, gives me that 2003 MTV Spider-Man. which was kinda cool for its time but not that good today, I guess it's up to your personal taste, Spider-Man does look cool tho and some stories are indeed for sure super interesting, hopefully it does deliver.

Rhino with good classic head sculpt would be great in retro line, I'm surprised it's still didn't happen at this point. Lizard can be done too but that original head also was too unorthodox for my taste, something closer to McFarlane and animated series would be incredible.

Not a bad two pack when it comes to likenesses, wished they didn't make collectors buy previous un helmeted Red Guardian, which I think was on purpose, but thing that bothers me is whats up with that weird tan colored shoulder pads and knee pads, they did same with white vision too, and like in Vision's case here too they are inaccurate and really ugly.

Marvel Comics Presents The Death Of Doctor Strange
SpiderS replied to JayC's topic in Marvelous News's General Area
I'm tired of Superhero "deaths", it's not 1990s anymore, if anything it makes me even less likely to want to touch new comics. -
Marvel Legends Infinity Saga Figures in-Hand looks
SpiderS replied to JayC's topic in Marvelous News's General Area
Some dry brush really would have put that figure much closer to source material, but the way it is just good enough from far but up close it really looks like plastic toy, when it could have been really impressive must have figure with additional paint apps. If it goes on sale its justifiable to get it for some dry brushing tho. -
Hasbro Pulse-Con 2021 Event Announced For This Fall
SpiderS replied to JayC's topic in Marvelous News's General Area
Perfect proportions and musculature on that body and very well executed butterflies that would work great with Sabretooth also holes they can use for his fur, and artists always take huge liberties with his size not to mention how inferior is Hyperion mold to Omega red body. -
I won’t be surprised if none of these costumes is actually in the movie lol, considering how this project is clouded in mystery and especially the fact that figure packages have just Spider-Man” instead of “No way home”

Echo Embraces The Cosmic Power Of The Phoenix Force
SpiderS replied to JayC's topic in Marvelous News's General Area
New Echo story does seem interesting but I’m not sure if adding Phoenix into mix will make it better than it could have been without it unless they have real strong idea which for sure isn’t the case for last 10 years in marvel. -
Hasbro Pulse-Con 2021 Event Announced For This Fall
SpiderS replied to JayC's topic in Marvelous News's General Area
Okay this is super epic reveal, although it does create interesting uncertainties in regards this retro wave being animated or more comics based, which means there’s still some guess work we might need for characters like Doc Ock or Chameleon if they get spot in the series. It would be real nice if we get real Animated series looking Spidey tho, just like that Diamond Select statue they made with animated shading. Oh and yes those holes on shoulders are ugh maybe they could just include some tendrils at very least. -
Updated Marvel Legends Age Of Apocalypse Wave 2 Images
SpiderS replied to JayC's topic in Marvelous News's General Area
Yes, you have a point here, at least with this Cruz and Madurera, but other artist drew her with more realistic proportions, and as a counter point same artists drew Iceman and Sabretooth with massively exaggerated proportions too but figures still have the more basic proportions. I guess saved money for me. -
If I'm not mistaken there was same story with Spider-Man 2099 and it was referred as being black costume, Yet I would register Jean's dress being more black than F4 costume from that Panel, I agree about best option being dark deep blue. Also worth mentioning that Blue is very recent and weird color in terms of human history, there's not a single word that can describe blue color in Iliad for example and many ancient languages, and it was often considered that something dark blue is automatically black regular blue just shade of green.

Updated Marvel Legends Age Of Apocalypse Wave 2 Images
SpiderS replied to JayC's topic in Marvelous News's General Area
I love the sculpt on Rogue overall but these hips are almost pre pubescently thin and even worse thanks to her boots that make it even worse visually, when she's supposed to be mother of a child with Magneto, which makes it even weirder, wish they have just gone with AOA Jeans legs or Rogue Pyro two pack legs. -
Latest tease of upcoming Legends reveal
SpiderS replied to watanabefan's topic in Marvel Legends Figure Discussion
I think maybe it's Fantastic four related, it can be Immortus but my bet would be either in Molecule man or Diablo, both of them would make sense for future wave of F4.
