Anybody else hearing rumors about Target phasing out MLs from stores?  I noticed that the there were no SKU tags for MLs in the toy aisle at my last visit to my local Target, but thought maybe it was just temporary. They did have a few MoM figures on a random endcap (not the Marvel endcap elsewhere that has Funkos and the Defender Strange tag) as well as eternals in clearance section. Anyhow i heard other stores have completed resets but without skus for MLs and again leftover MLs put on random endcap

It started when they did that ordering a case of only one or two characters BS
That drove me straight to gamestop, where I could complete a BaF.

I almost bought "kiddie" figures of Thor and Jane Foster when I saw them on pegs.  I thought they were Marvel Legends in closed packaging.  Thanks to marvelousnews.com, I was able to realize that they were still window boxed.   I know I am going to get screwed by this new packaging.

  2. Anybody here have experience with FYE ?

Does anyone know what's happening at Gamestop?

I purposefully placed my next order from them, given the speedy 3-day shipping of Venom.

It has been three days, and the order still says Awaiting Carrier Pickup

I was recently looking at my "growing up" display and realized that the only movie I'm really missing from my childhood in 6" articulated form is Independence Day. But it's such a one and done that I doubt anyone would actually do them.

I have like four of these

    each one a different color

Not taking shots at you, but patience is a virtue when you choose this hobby. Example: I had no desire to get all the figures in the Cull Obsidian wave. I'm not a huge movie figure guy and hate when they do predominantly movie waves (pretty commonplace now). Anyway I got Black Widow, because it was superb, even for a movie fig. Then, of course I got (3) Black Knights cuz I'm a sucker for alternate head sculpts. Then I found both Wasp and Maleketh clogging up the clearance section and got them for like $7 each and then I started to build the BAF and saw how huge and detailed the thing was. I tracked down an Ant-Man at a Walgreens, but Thor eluded me for at least 6 months (no joke). Even using Brickseek I could never find it. Eventually Amazon notified me that it was available and I got it for a slightly inflated price of about $25. It came in, It's actually the best MCU Thor to date, if a bit on the large size, I built my Cull BAF and felt a brief satisfaction of accomplishment. Two days later I was wondering the aisles at my local Walgreens and found 2 Thor's. Out of curiosity I hit as many Walgreens as I could and almost every one of them had at least one Thor. My brief moment of triumph smashed.

    I am extremely patient

    I deliberately state:

"I find that impossible-to-get figure when Hasbro does the inevitable restock of casefulls of the desirable figures that I always seem to forget they do."

And I have the same exact Stormbreaker Thor story as you!

He and Black Widow are the  "inevitable restock of casefulls of the desirable figures" I mention in my story.

I ordered my Thor from bbts, was so very excited to get him and complete both my Infinity War Avengers display and Cull Obsideon BaF, only to find that Thor EVERYWHERE!

Don't get soo frustrated, They are just toys. They almost always come back in stock somewhere. Which figure are you looking for?

    irrelevant

It is a generalized comment about the cycle of collecting, Intended as a humourous read

I'm not asking for mental health counseling nor help getting any specific figure.

Currently all stores within 25 miles of me show a stock of 4, which has held steady for the past 24 hours anyhow so it looks like they are adhering to the street date.

I cannot rely on any inventory tracking website.

Once I saw what the Iron Man 2020 looked like with all the oversized gear bits removed, I knew I needed one.

I know I am probably too late, but thought I would try.

I went on the Walgreens site and spent all of Sunday and most of Monday driving to 11 or 12 Walgreenses which reported they had Iron Man 2020 in stock.

I saw lots of Magik and Medusa (even a few Moon Knights) NONE of which were reported as being in stock.

BUT NOT ONE SINGLE IRONMAN 2020

I did score a Silver Centurion, so it wasn't a total loss (also not listed as in stock in any Walgreens)

But the moral of the story is that online inventory reporting is utterly unreliable.

(and thanking you in advance to everyone who is about to post "you shoulda pre-ordered" and "I have one to sell you" but save your keystrokes - I will get my IronMan 2020 eventually.  I always do)
