This is hardly "fear mongering". It could be over in 60 days, hopefully....but it might not be. But even if it is, immediately going back to jamming 1000s of people into confined spaces, from all over who knows where, is a risky notion. Haslab can go on the back burner for now.

There's still uncertainty around the mortality rate, but annual flu typically has a mortality rate of around 0.1% in the states.  In comparison, recent data suggests COVID-19 has a mortality rate more than 20x higher, around 2.3%(according to a study published Feb. 18 by the China CDC Weekly). The death rate varied by different factors such as location and an individual's age.

All the people dying in Italy, Spain, and elsewhere is not fear mongering- that's reality. Even a certain someone who said the 2-3% fatality rate was a "false number", is finally starting to come around to realizing its a serious issue. I have a friend who's now on a ventilator, too weak to breathe on her own or even talk. She was totally fine 2 weeks ago.

The Sentinel and the conventions can hold off for now. Stay safe! Stay healthy!

I hope your friend gets well soon.

I could care less if SDCC is canked or not. July is 4 months out. This pandemic could be over in the next 45-60 days for all we know. I still wanna see pics of the Sentinel & see what scale it's going to be & what the price point is. No need to cancel it imo. The common flu is still killing 10x more people than this. Fear mongering at it's worst.

Glad to know you're safe and haven't resented the effects of the pandemic. You could try empathy for a change, the fact that you haven't been affected by this doesn't mean nobody has. I'm lucky I can still work and do everything from home, but a lot of friends have either lost their jobs or can't work at all since this broke out, and that means they are limited to what they can and can't afford by their savings.

The fact that you and I may be able to pay for something 500usd + doesn't mean that everyone will be, and on the empathic side of things, those 500usd+ could be used for something a bit more helpful to yourself and society.
I'm not talking about donating, or even loaning, but you could probably boost those 500 into something more like investing in some business for when the dust settles.

I honestly don't think it matters either way. The Bizarro-World business model that HasLab operates under is such that even if they go ahead with it and it tanks, it won't hurt them any. On the same token, postponing it wouldn't harm their market any. The vast majority of ML collectors couldn't and/or wouldn't get it either way.

On a personal note, I'd like to think that in this time of emergency, anyone with that level of disposable income can think of better ways of spending it.

I agree completely. Therefore, yes, this should be postponed until the world clears from the emergency at hand.

The biggest problem I see with those names is that it's not teens or twenty-somethings who get called "Snowflake", or who hide in "Safespaces"; it's Millennials. The weird, disillusioned, sheltered thirty-somethings, who are so pumped up on "self-esteem" and participation trophies to realize how narcissistic and out of touch with reality they've become.

I wish I were pumped on self-esteem. I've crippling low self-esteem to the point of self-sabotage in advantageous situations. ON EVERY LEVEL.

Bad Ass figure (aside from the static gun, WTF?). It's nothing major or ground breaking but it's as good as I was hoping it would be. I still don't have one in hand but it looks good here. Now, let's get busy on a comic based modern Star Lord, Hasbro. I promise, we have enough MCU versions to last us through the next movie.

I'd like a closed jacket Star Lord, but I'm ok waiting longer... my wallet's happy waiting too.

  6. I can easily whip up a couple of waves of villains I want seen from the MCU without using the Avengers too.

    Iron Monger deserves a redo.

Justin Hammer is a character I really want, and a really easy one to put out

Whiplash from the racetrack is my favorite look for the character

Arnim Zola could be an interesting BaF being the computer from WS

Malekith and Kurse would be awesome, Malekith could even be like the Red Skull/Hydra Soldier to army build

Sonny Burch and Uzman and that other goon

    Sakaaran soldier

    Sovereign citizens (Male/female)

    Shocker (both)

    Starforce members Att-Lass, Bron-Char and unmasked Yon-Rogg

"Hydroman", "Sandman" and the wind elemental

And those are the one's I'd like... coincidentally 26 different characters 😛

  7. I'm in the minority but I think this could be good thing. It's definitely a bold move and while I'm not particularly interested in reading it (but to be fair I haven't read anything since AvX, so there's that), I think this could work out pretty great.

I particularly like that Snowflake, who is usually called out as 'offended', is an offensive player and Safespace, who is usually called out for isolating oneself, is a defensive wall for others.  I like that a lot of people who are called snowflakes for wanting safe spaces aren't even asking it for themselves, but for the people around them. So I like how fitting it feels.

I also think that Screentime could become a villain, or an incredibly effective strategist which is why I think they modeled his visor to be like Cyclops. I like them overall, even Trailblazer, who I feel is too Mary Poppins-eske, and B-Negative, who has an incredibly dated emo name, could be interesting under the right circumstances.

That's the trouble with filming in these European holes-in-the wall. Sure, you get the tax incentives and cheap labor, but you're also Hell and away from decent medical care. Not a position you wanna be in with the Flu from Hell tear-assing through the countryside.

Please tell me how one of the highest ranking cities to live in is a hole in the wall.

    • Toy Fair revealed roughly 60% of all Marvel legends for this year
    • Can do pretty much anything from Marvel's catalogue including TV and movie , but does require extra work for character likeness
    • New no pins tech, has drawbacks including the inability to swap parts therefore limits usage
    • Sugar Man wave is the only AOA wave for this year
    • More news of HasLab Sentinel in roughly a month's time
    • More X-Men movie toys, if fans demand it. had plans for X-men Cyclops

    1. I hope Quicksilver, Endgame Thor and Cap Marvel are in that 60%...

    2. Oh man, I hope we get AoS figures and a new more in costume Iron Fist and Misty. Man, if we got a Robbie Reyes Ghost Rider it'd be sick!

    3. But it's all a work in progress, in the end, the more they use this tech the more parts they'll have to swap.

    4. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    5. Can't wait!

    6. I hope we get a Colossus, Juggernaut, Vanessa and Pete... DoFP Iceman would be cool too IMO. Pun intended.

  10. I think I'll go with MCU Quicksilver. There's only a couple of outfits he wears throughout the movie, so it would be pretty easy to pull this off and just buy 2 and call it a day.

Seriously though, I don't think I'd want to buy every costume for any character. Maybe MCU Iron Man with the house party protocol and the hope of making an Armory Workshop display, but that's a HUGE maybe.

  11. I'm not a fan of BaF split in different waves. But that may just be a concern with how previous offerings of ML didn't come to Mexico years ago. It seems like the problem's been corrected and I've been able to get every ML I've wanted at retail price... maybe it wouldn't be all bad, but it would have to be a pretty impressive baf to get me to buy 12-16 figures to get it.

On the bigger figures at a higher cost I'm all for them. I'm tempted to update my Giant Man with the single release one just to cure the itch, but I wouldn't even hesitate to shell out even $50 if it were 3"-5" bigger.

The problem I see with wanting bigger figures is that as many as we know there are, most are B-C listers at best, and they're unlikely to sell at retail. On fan channels, on the other hand...

OH NO! My drivers license expires next year!!!

It DOESN'T mean I'll never drive again? It just means I'll get it renewed? You say nobody would worry about that unless they put to much stock in low-rent tabloid-esque internet articles written for no other reason than to serve as quick and easy click-bait?

    That makes sense.

Why are you even here? It constantly feels like you don't even enjoy being part of this forum.
