  1. I'm getting more and more hyped by this figure... contrary to Heimdall. I remember seeing this first and going "oh man... another one? But we just got him with Hulk!" But it looks way too cool
  2. It looks cool standing with the robe... but I can't say I'm as excited to get it as I was when it was announced.
  3. Articulated arms and legs for Beast? Angel and Cyclops in smaller teenage bodies? Count me in!
  4. That's me all the time with everything, not just action figures
  5. I'd rule this one out since it's from before the MCU started, or Disney bought Marvel. That's why in my post I limited to ASM figures. Not only were we getting few movie figures from Hasbro, we were getting few figures, period. There's a huge gap between 2008 and 2012 when they finally started producing more waves.
  6. Happy Hogan (Iron Man) Odin (Thor) Warrior Three Boxed Set (Thor) Whiplash + Justin Hammer (Iron Man 2) Chitauri (Avengers) Killian (Iron Man 3) Malekith + Kurse (Thor: Dark World) Batroc the Leaper (Captain America: Winter Soldier) Kraglin(GotG) Korath (GotG) Howard the Duck + Cosmo (GotG) Quicksilver + Ultron Drone(Age of Ultron) Wong (Doctor Strange) Kaecilius (Doctor Strange) The Ancient One (Doctor Strange) Taser Face + Ayesha(GotG Vol.2) Aunt May + Ned Leeds(Spider-Man: Homecoming) Miek (Thor: Ragnarok) Hank Pym + Janet Van Dyne (Ant Man & Wasp) and of course STAN LEE I just went and pretty much copied your list and arranged some as I would in 2 Packs. I'd add a Runaways pack and a Cloak and Dagger 2-pack but they're not confirmed yet as part of the MCU. I'd also add some AoS characters including Robbie Reyes and his Charger lml
  7. That's a lie. Not counting the Sandman BaF fiasco wave from 2007 (which was before Disney bought Marvel, and before the MCU started), we've gotten figures from both Amazing Spider-Man and Amazing Spiderman 2. We got 2 ASM Spideys and one Lizard, and for ASM2 we got an updated Spidey and Electro. Granted, they weren't ML, but they're 6" and decently articulated. Plus, they're from a time when ML was just getting it's act back together. Them being movie merchandise it's unlikely they'll revisit them or give updates, but recently we got Into the Spiderverse colored Miles and SpiderGwen, not exactly movie depictions, but inspired by. So I wouldn't rule out Hasbro making non MCU movie Spideys in the future.
  8. I understand "pegwarming" as "left behind", in that case e-tailers also "pegwarm". So "finally" getting something with the only context of you pulling the trigger on Pulse instead of waiting... when it had just been a couple of weeks when they started rolling out... doesn't really bring your point across. I agree retailers get the figures out later than e-tailers most of the time and that's become problematic for the stores since a lot of the product they're trying to sell has been bought elsewhere before, therefore pegwarming. I also agree with the feeling of "finally" getting a figure with months between the announcement and my purchase, and can also understand why someone would chuckle at the thought from interpreting it as searching for a long time when it's only been available for few weeks or months worldwide. A bit of a "oh my sweet summer child, what do you know of the cold?" kind of feeling.
  9. Just happened to me with Worthy Cap!!! It's so annoying!! WM put it online at 4 am for sale. 4 AM!!! Why the fudge???? It was also gone by 7 am so I've half a mind on them just letting their scalper friends know it was up. But that's just me being whiny and conspirationist.
  10. I'm 88% sure he means MCU short haired Captain Marvel. I've just 12% of doubt.
  11. Last time I did that was with the Apocalypse BAF. I had gotten Storm and Psylocke, and a friend gave me the pipes that came with Wolverine and the Claw from Archangel... I felt shamed into finishing it. I've restrained myself lately, fortunately.
  12. From the MCU 80th sets, Luis/Ghost was the one I was most excited about, and the one I've enjoyed the most. Maybe it's because it arrived by itself and didn't compete directly with the others for "play time", but I loved it. I'm not sure I'd recommend it to you, I understand your point of not collecting suits. Plus, the vest is non removable and has the "excon" card on it. It's probably the set that'll pegwarm the most and have the lowest final price, so you'll probably have time to think about it, and maybe find it for $20 and just buy the set for the figure you want (Ghost really is amazingly cool looking, and androgynous enough to swing between comic and MCU IMO.)
  13. Well, I finally acquired the SDCC 2018 exclusive Red Skull... does that qualify for finally? đŸ˜…
  14. Which is why I feel like it's not entirely Hasbro's fault when a figure sells out sooner than expected.
  15. I may be on the wrong, but I have a feeling it would have to be MCU oriented for it to have a broader appeal. Then again, other than the Milano or Quinjet, I don't think there's a big or ambitious enough project, and I'm not sure they're that broad enough. Specially after considering your point of them being glorified figure cases. Then again, if we were to get something that could be used either for MCU or Comic... maybe it could have enough pull... but I can't think of anything specific, like you said.
  16. I think this may be the reason the line eventually crashes. I'm guilty of doing that too though, I'm patiently waiting for Blink to keep dropping in price to get her. Then again, I only play the waiting game with figures I could be fine not getting. Luis and Ghost weren't, even if they're the first to start dropping in price.
  17. That and I'm sure the pegwarming didn't help. Don't get me wrong, I loved those figures and bought them the second I found them, but the reality is they're still pegwarming, awesome as they are.
  18. I don't think there's a reliable way to determine which are the truly less desirable armors. Someone will always say "ugh I wanted >insert armor number< and they cheaped out on it" If they ever did do an MCU HoA, I'd say they go for the diorama with either MK 1-7+ Mk42 and Tony Stark. Or the diorama and maybe 10 of the most unique armors (Igor, for example). Thinking about constraining it to the 500 usd mark.
  19. I suspect we'll get 2 BW (Romanoff and Belova), Red Guardian, Taskmaster, and 2 comic figures. The BaF, I suspect, will go the Mantis/Okoye route and give us MCU Iron Maiden.
  20. SIR!!! Imma need to see your licence and registration to operate this vehicle-oh-OH!!!
