Looks like they're trying to cover their collective 🍑 in the very likely event that Hugh's Wolverine is ruined by his appearance in Deadpool. I don't know why they care. Hugh already appeared in X3, Apocalypse and more importantly: X-Men Origins Wolverine. (I know I know they want to protect the perfect ending they had for his character in Logan. You know how else Hugh can protect that perfect ending? Hugh should listen to his friend Jerry Seinfeld).

1. start with a Days of Future Past Hugh Jackman (and hopefully the rest will follow. Best of costumes from the movies: X2 Cyclops, DOFP Storm, DOFP Rogue Cut white costume Rogue, X2 Jean, X3 Iceman, Deadpool Colossus etc). 2. Wolfsbane X-Factor (Gotta complete that X-Factor shelf). Feral would also fill out my X-Force team but there's currently too many figures on that shelf, unlike X-Factor, so Rahne wins out. 3. Sage X-Treme X-Men (stand out character in an otherwise lacklustre book). Though I did like the other ladies' costumes in the book too (Rogue's, Storm's, Psylocke's). 4. Artie AND Leech 2-Pack. Nuff Said. 5. Human Piotr Australian Outback (I want a half naked Piotr figure on my shelf. Sue me!) Rachel Summers would've been my No. 1 want but for now I'm happy using the newly-released Dark Phoenix buck with the Black Widow (Gray) head.

Got Multiple Man, Longshot and Toad on sale from TRU. Funnily enough, Toys R Us Canada's prices have been so ridiculous that their current 20% off discount afforded me a dollar off on par with other stores. Toad however was a bargain, so Score!

Speaking as someone who grew up on the X-Men The Animated Series cartoons, there's something appealing about having a shelf dedicated to it. Besides I've already got all those "Jim Lee" characters in their normal looks. It's just another way to own those characters again.

For Generation X I vote for Skin. They can reuse Mr. Fantastic's weird stretched out fingers from the retro-carded F4 wave. Speaking of Gen X, anyone else think that newly announced M head is kinda ugly? Might be because it's undersized compared to her body. I've seen many complaints for that Emma Frost head on social media (I think that Emma head matched with Cassaday's art) but not a peep about that M head. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

The costume does look good in that character turn around. For Doug Ramsey I'd rather see his New Mutants look. And I'm afraid if they went with this look for him, that they'd go for Sage in her yellow costume too, which quite frankly reminds me too much of Jubilee (I always have to do a double-take everytime I see Sage on a comic page, thinking it's Jubes). I think that Jean and that Storm would look good in figure form.

I certainly wouldn't say No to a Savage Land Rogue but considering the rumoured Fan Channel Outback Rogue I think the likelihood of getting two different Rogues in one year is unlikely. Unfortunately.

Although I've said this was wave of the year, I've only preordered 3 figures from this wave: Dark Phoenix, Spiral and possibly this MM (I don't remember if it was Jamie or LongShot that I PO'ed). I don't think the wave will be hard to come by. I also agree the gold doesn't mesh. I wish they gave him all 3 heads a la the other Jamie. That other release was definitely the better value considering that one also came with his trench coat plus a BAF part.

Now that they've perfected the multi-limbed female, maybe it's time for a Forearm from MLF. They can revisit the spideys version after lol

Oh that's where he's from LOL I was gonna come here and complain that the 4 other figures are musts but not this one. Well, still not a must get but at least I know where he's from now.

Was always gonna get this one because it's Dark Phoenix. Might have to get two now because this body + the short-haired Black Widow head (gray costume) will make for an excellent Rachel Summers until we get an official release.

Wave of the year right here. Question is which year, this year or next, for Canada. Would really like to get these X-Men figures before XMas. Also, Spiral could give Retro Apocalypse a run for figure of the year (I love that Apoc).

Villains like Apocalypse and Magneto and Doom and Thanos are around and interacting with heroes but yes let's pick on Bishop. LMAO

She has to. Betsy is a popular character and they can't just reuse a head (a lacklustre one at that) for a 3rd time (but I'm sure someone on here will come up with a character they have done this for) especially when it's only her 3rd (modern) ML release.

Might be the best X-Men wave. Doesn't mean I can't nitpick lol Dark Phoenix: I have the 2-Pack but what kind of X-Men fan would I be if I didn't pick this up? Sorta wish she came with a second translucent head. Might buy multiples so I can plop Gray Black Widow's head on her for my temp Rachel Summers. Spiral: Perfect. No notes. Longshot: The Boxed set kinda took the thunder out of this release but he still looks great. Avalanche: Dude needs a new look LOL But I do need an Avalanche on my Villains shelf. Multiple Man: Wish the design was yellow instead of gold. The golds don't really POP against the green. Even the Wolverine is kind of essential. He opens up a new team to collect. Storm and Banshee looking good too.

As someone who was a huge fan of the Original X-Men movies, yea get these Fox X-Men out of the way in this Multiverse Saga so we can start fresh AFTER Secret Wars. Please.

I wonder if this boxed set will eventually end up at EB Games Canada (now AKA Gamestop Canada) a la the Hellfire Club set.
