  1. Yeah that Dr. Strange nonsense was deliberate, and it didn't need to be. The insignia is almost invisible and they released other versions with the cloak, where it was never glued down. I'm sure the plan is to make another "classic", only this time with a removable cloak, and maybe correctly colored gloves and belt sash (the true classic colors are orange, not yellow). Then again they only really got the cloak correct was the 4" Universe figure. The yellow pattern borders the cape, and back of the collar, not the collar itself. And yes, I still need to wear shades before looking at Tigra, to avoid some retina burn. Wonder Man should have had some better arms and legs and it would have really been great.
  2. I too am glad to see Dr. Spectrum (slight preference for the Kinji Obatu version, no boots) on the way; he's one of the few many, many figures I've asked for that is now being actually made. I may not be getting Red Wolf or Equinox anytime soon, but Firebrand could be coming....possibly...
  3. What I find hard to believe, is that not only have we had to wait this long to get safari Jacket Wonder Man, here we are now in 2023 and they put him on a buck where the head can't raise up. Too bad they didn't give him Reaper's legs. They got the jacket right though...red! NOT maroon or brick or some dull version, just actual red. YES.
  4. Truth. I never once considered her to be a match for Natasha, let alone a successor, but this is the only version that ever made sense to me.
  5. The Rose looks off to me, and I know why now...the suit looks too big on him. Its not very well tapered. They forgot the number one rule for men's fashion: Fit is King. lol get it, King, he's the KINGpin's son, ha ha
  6. Yeah you read me totally wrong. My comment was about how what if stories typically deal with superbeings we already know, seen in alternate, different circumstances, not brand new characters. I dont see how this as "woke" or whatever label people put to it.
  7. Definitely a departure from the more traditional, "What If Spider-Man Had Killed the Green Goblin" type stories. Wonder why they're going so far afield.
  8. So this is a brand new, original character to the series then. Looks like an interesting alt take on "What If the Vibraninum Mound landed in Madripoor instead of Wakanda?" I like her look, and it looks like it would make a good action figure.
  9. I'd say all of those will eventually appear in the near future. Frankly I don't think there's a need for a BAF for every wave, but I do find it kinda shady on the teams' part that they didn't state that from the very beginning. Its not like they didn't know there wouldn't be one, because all the fans were speculating/wish listing what it would be.
  10. Here's one that's out there: The Vulture. While the Demogoblin BAF one was good, that pizza spidey bod is in dire need of an update, it was missing most of the vertical lines on the body suit. Also they can wipe that grin off the face.
  11. We jest....kinda....but its certainly not unheard of, that they would pull such a thing. Aunt May is not a figure on any wish list of mine, but if I did buy it, I would want the comic accurate one, not one from an animated show.
  12. Absolutely, because that Viper /Madame Hydra was a joke. Emaciated, out of date figure and yet they charged current prices for it? I'm not saying the Shriek buck is particularly fitting for Madame (come on, she's supposed to be around 140lbs), but its sure better than what they used. I do wonder why they went so bright with Strucker's green, compared to the Hydra goons. When I was a kid, I wondered if GI Joe's Cobra Commander and Baroness characters' creation was inspired by Strucker and Madame Hydra. LOL
  13. Pointed this out before: Red Skull, Dormammu, Molecule Man all have this same buck. A guy in a jumpsuit. Its just not a good base for Wonder Man, who is a larger, wider, powerhouse. I like that they took the time to use the hairstyle he often had back then, and also that they used RED for his jacket, instead of some muted maroon or brick that seems to show up so often.
  14. Never understood the purpose of these but I will say, they were very colorful. If hasbo took the time and energy from some of these off-shoots and put them to them consistently to the Legends line....
  15. Don't know that I'd go that far....I mean, SOMEbody's gonna like these and I wouldn't want to deprive them of their picks. But I do get what you're saying here. The frustration is real with some of these. Its like WHAT were they THINKING?? LOL. Sure would be nice if when they use these older bucks, they'd knock down the price too.
  16. I think the issue with the paint is that the light green and then lighter green are so close together that they don't stand out well. They almost blur. A simple black line would eliminate this. Good figure; would've been great if they'd included some kind of acid spitting cloud or "puff" effect. Always enjoyable to get another Serpent Society member. Bring on Sidewinder, Copperhead, Anaconda and Diamondback!
  17. Overall its a good figure (he probably should be shorter) and looks good for Molecule Man. I'm glad he lined up MM, Dormammu and Red Skull because while this mold fits for those guys, it certainly doesn't look like what you'd use for Wonder Man, but thats what they did. The head does look good but they should've included a more "classic" head, and also the wand. The energy effects are just plain lazy and as per usual, don't really go with the figure they're included with. Overall though, this is a good solid effort. I'd be interested to see how they do the Impossible Man.
  18. Frankly I see no reason for a "haslab" at all. The same people who would buy this under an over priced "crowd funding" umbrella, would buy it as a specialty item on Pulse or whatever other outlet. Be honest, hasbo knows there's no risk to them of either of these suggestions not selling. They're not some hobby shop working out of a garage, that doesn't have the funding and resources to make these things. They screwed up last time by overcharging; the car is just not the same as a Sentinel or Galactus. A Giant Man isn't the same either. Nevertheless, every haslab doesn't have to be $300.00+, just like not every Legends figure has to be the same price.
  19. Why is it harsh? Its truth. When they put out an old, over used and feeble figure buck like the one they used for Madame Hydra BUT still charge today's prices, they definitely regard the customer as marks. Shame that so many will still buy it. This is the kind of thinking that got them to try to sell that haslob joke of a car. A lot of fans don't want to be accused of "bad mouthing" and believe in brand loyalty. But there's no customer loyalty, demonstrated in the very reasons you gave. But the best way to correct all this is for customers to put their money elsewhere.
  20. Oh! They realized that there's supposed to be a full grown healthy man wearing that armor, not some underage, underfed kid. I prefer the red on the first version, but realize that in the comics, it was a muted, dull, almost brick shade. They got that right....but its madness that this one can barely bend. Also....arms are almost stubby. What gives? Still....glad to see this re-do!! NOW let's get that Silver Centurion right...
  21. Ah, that's a killer shot....the lights and shadows just make it all pop in pure dramatic style.....
  22. Truth! They're disregarding that WE are the ones that got them to the point where they could even MAKE those movies. Agatha Harkness was a silver haired old crone and you did NOT want to cross her. She doesn't need to be some younger version.
