  1. Same here! I sold my Black Bolt and Medusa a little over a year ago thinking they didn't fit the quality of current figures and I didn't purchase Karnak because I didn't think they would ever complete the team, but seeing Crystal and Lockjaw made me start thinking maybe they would. All in now!
  2. Not sure…I Googled images after I saw how big he was going to be (thinking like you that he was too big). I am pretty excited about this set (and just picked up Karnak, Crystal, and Lockjaw).
  3. I don't think Gorgon is typically drawn that large. but he definitely has been.
  4. I already liked the Wolverine a lot, but the Storm head sculpts turned out way better than I expected.
  5. It has always been a head scratcher how little attention Thor adjacent characters have received. Same could be said for New Mutants, and until recently, The Inhumans. I would be so interested to see what the meetings look like where Hasbro discusses character selection, which version of the character to produce, size of the character, team completion, how it should be released, cost to produce the character, as well as what parts could be re-used to reduce costs. I will never gripe about another Wolverine/Ironman/Cap/Spider-man because I know they are necessary to keep the line going, but I can't help but think Hasbro has does well, but could absolutely knock it out of the park if they just mapped things out better. I know there is an audience for Crystar and Warbow, but how are they getting attention before Asgardians, New Mutants, Marvel Monsters (though thanks for the Werewolf by Night reveal finally), Classic X-Men, Mole Man, The Watcher, Swordsman, and Annihilus? I know they can't please us all, but there just seems to be a lot that isn't given proper attention, that easily could be given proper attention.
  6. I thought the same damn thing!
  7. Man, I am a sucker for Skrulls - Definite purchase! Love the new head sculpt too, and the lighter green on the faces.
  8. The first Maximum got a lot right, but the price was off, and the accessories left something to be desired. The second Maximum, had a more appropriate price for the size, but still had pins, and the head sculpt choices left many scratching their heads. Now the third one has a good (new) sculpt and with the addition of Doop it tugs at our nostalgia and is almost appropriately priced. Haven't bought the first two Maximum, but I will be picking up this one. Hope the rumors of a Maximum Thor are true and I hope they knock it out of the park. Maximum Daredevil too with a totally new sculpt that is the proper height and build (Daredevil shouldn't look like Spiderman, so don't reuse Maximum Spiderman parts).
  9. Hasbro has done a pretty great job of re-doing most figures that needed it, but how have we not seen a re-do of the ToysrUs Classic X-Men Box Set yet? How have we not seen a re-do of the Marvel Monsters Box Set yet? How have they not used the Skrull gimmick and included a Skrull head packed in with different characters? New Mutants? Warriors Three? Mole Man, Hela, Siff, Valkyrie, Brood, Classic Hydra Agents, Beta Ray Bill, Swordsman, The Mandarin, Bishop the Last X-Man... there just seem to be so many characters that either need to be done or re-done. I hope they get their hands wrapped around how to execute on the Maximum Line, because it is a great idea that has been executed very poorly... hope they get it figured out by the time they get to Thor, Daredevil, and Iceman. Hope they bring back the BAF, as it seems like they are abandoning part of their legacy. Still plenty I am buying this year, but so much more I would buy if they would do it and do it right. And stop with the Target exclusives, or give them a variant of a figure, but make another version available widely (not being able to pick up a Psylocke is absolutely ridiculous, and disrespectful to loyal fans).
  10. The Wolverine Storm two pack gives us a perfect brown suit version of Wolverine with arguably the best Wolverine Head Sculpts we have ever seen. The Storm is a solid figure too, but I prefer the head sculpts from the Storm and Thunderbird two pack.
  11. I get why Hasbro does exclusives with folks like Target, but so many people miss out and then just get super angry at Hasbro (justifiably). Thing that has been great about Haslabs and made to order, is that they are exclusives, but available to you if you want them. I’ve picked up all the Haslabs and they definitely make a collection pop! This one will do the same - glad I ordered it.
  12. I had to take a second look because I swore Shanna's hair was from the Sasquatch wave X-23 figure.
  13. Overall a very nice upgrade, but didn't hit all the marks. Those shoulder joints really throw off the aesthetic for me. Happy to say I will be able to pass on this one and save a little money.
  14. Agreed! I like the oversized fists and I love the head sculpt (reminds me of the Marvel Select version), but he is too big and I think the articulation in the shoulders made that an ugly joint. I think the BAF holds up and I am sticking with that. I missed out on Psylocke too, but I have a kid in the UK so I will probably just have her pick one up for me (not hard to get there). Sorry to hear about your loss.
  15. Best Cap to date, and it reminds me of the first Toybiz Marvel Legends Cap!
