  1. I wonder the same! Seems like a no brainer. There are about 30 characters, or so that I am just amazed we haven't seen yet, or haven't seen a definitive classic version of yet (Bucky, Adam Warlock, Classic X-Men, Giant Man, Marvel Monsters, a bunch of the Inhumans, Mole Man, Iron Fist, Blade, Nebula, Brood, Destiny, Warriors Three, Dum Dum Dugan, Wasp, Ghost Rider's villains).
  2. I hear what you are saying! I think the Riders version was the best buck (and the head sculpts were great), but the Retro version had the right belt and wrist cannons (and also a nice head sculpt), but for me this one is the right combo of everything for it to become my definitive Black Widow.
  3. I hope Hasbro is listening! You are always quite critical (rightfully so) Hasbro's Legends, and I can't ever remember seeing you this pleased with a wave - so this is high praise. I almost got rid of my Blackbolt and Medusa because I had no faith in us seeing more Inhumans, but this gives me hope! And I can never pass up a good Cap! Great wave!
  4. I wish we could get Legends representations of all the 1960's and 1970's looks! Crazy when you look at just how many of the absolute best characters came out of those two decades!
  5. While I do agree with a lot of the nitpicks people post about things Hasbro could do better (costume choices, size/choice of buck, lack of accessories, not completing teams that were started YEARS ago, pinless), I do still think they do one hell of a job, and that they get a lot right. That being said, I can't help but think about an old Toybiz wave that had Red Skull, Nick Fury, Silver Surfer, Colossus, Sabretooth, Mr. Fantastic, and Blade. Classic villains, cosmic characters, team leaders, anti-heroes...just an incredible blend! Made me think about how much harder it must be to create that kind of excitement with a wave these days since so many of the best characters have already been done, and most of them done quite well. Sure, there are plenty of collectors who want Squadron Supreme, Serpent Society, Reavers, Marauders, Starjammers, etc. (and I would like a lot of those too), but I can't imagine the excitement or satisfaction with finally getting them would ever be as high as for that old Toybiz wave with almost all of the characters being absolute must-haves. Recent (or upcoming) Blob, Ronan, Classic Ant-Man, Powerman, Hawkeye with sky cycle, Black Widow, Drax, Ultron, Red Skull, Dormammu, Wonderman, 80th Anniversary Cap/Thor/Ironman/Hulk, Colossus/Juggernaut two pack - for me these captured that old WOW reaction to what was coming out. Now can we please get classic comic versions of Adam Warlock, Wasp, Iron Fist, Nebula, Valkyrie, Destiny, Ghost Rider, Mole Man, Nick Fury, Dum Dum Dugan, Daredevil, Mephisto, Captain Marvel, Warriors Three, Marvel Monsters, 1970's Blade...everything after that will just be icing on the cake!
  6. Looks like they corrected the Cheeto-colored orange on Tigra, so that's good. Not a set I need, but I love that Hasbro continues to produce these sets.
  7. Yondu, Blob, Powerman, and Drax were all in my top ten most wanted! This year has been too good to me.
  8. I thought the exact same thing when I saw the knee pads - Beta Ray Bill Classic can’t be far behind! Man, I am still amazed by how many of my most wanted figures have come out recently…Beta Ray Bill would be one more from my Top Twenty Must Haves!
  9. Love the Destroyer too, but I picked up the Marvel Select version quite some time ago and it is quite good and fits in well with Legends. Still tempted to get this one though!
  10. Thanks for the update! That is a weird line-up for The Marvels wave. Yeah, bummed if it doesn't come with an updated comic Carol. Hoping, and believing that Powerman will be in a two-pack with an updated Iron Fist.
  11. Okay, two things just hit me; Is Powerman going to be released this year as a part of the Avengers Anniversary, and The Marvels comes out in November and we have heard nothing about a figure wave that I know of. Really hoping we get an updated Comic Style Carol/Captain Marvel, or Carol Ms. Marvel (maybe even with a Secret Invasion Skrull head).
  12. And how likely is it that this is not the last one? Two-Pack with a white coat and black pants, with a Wolverine / Patch in the same duds? Still getting this one, but definitely feeling this will not be the last!
  13. Considered buying the BAF version at least a dozen times, but I was convinced they would re-do it eventually since the previous head was so awful. This looks incredible! Now we need a Patch to match!
  14. Yeah, that is a nice detail! I am surprised Marvel Legends never did that on the cowl of a Cap figure, considering it was prominent in the comics, as I remember. I think the Mego Cap in the seventies may have even gotten that right.
  15. Damn, once again they get the proportions wrong. The figure is a nice improvement over the last Classic cap, but the head is way too small.
  16. Alright, I'm down with a lot of that. I think they nailed the figure (I love it actually) and I don't think it needed more, but are we getting our money's worth? NO, on that I totally agree with you, Pal! And if you compare what Toybiz used to do, and what McFarlane is doing with DC figures, YEAH, Hasbro could be producing a lot more original bucks and accessories and bases, etc. - giving us more for our dollar. And every figure you praised are great figures...in fact, that Blob figure is absolutely perfect...SO MUCH BETTER than the BAF version (I put on the shelf this week and just stared at it in amazement).
  17. Oh, c’mon, this is some misplaced frustration, man. That arm is not overly used at all (it was made for the BAF Skrull). The figure looks nearly identical to the comic, there is nothing to gripe about. No one needs to acknowledge the other power sets, because the power sets for this figure are accurate. You are entitled to wish Hasbro had produced a different one of the Skrulls from the comics (I agree there were a lot of cool ones with cool power sets), but that has zero to do with how good this offering really is. They nailed this one - give them some credit.
  18. That stretch arm is what it looked like in the Secret Invasion comic, the only difference was the comic version had an open hand. How did they hose you?
  19. What do you mean original mask? This head sculpt looks to be the same as the one from the Thanos BAF wave. The hands are different, the feet might be different, the red on the costume is definitely darker, but I am pretty sure the head sculpt/mask is the same.
  20. Exactly! It is frustrating when you see them absolutely crush a figure, but then see them miss the mark on a figure that would have been easy to nail. The new Blob figure is truly remarkable (in hand it is just crazy good) , so we know they can do it when they want to.
  21. I am not interested in Super Adaptoid, but man, if I was, I would be so pissed that it doesn't come with wings. To be that close to what you want, and have them miss the mark. I have said this before, but I so wonder what their research and development team is made up of, because so many of Hasbro's mistakes and missed opportunities could have been easily avoided by having a quality control person who weighs in on size of buck, costume choice, color scheme, and accessories. There is honestly no excuse for them not getting it right every time.
  22. Their last two Hulk figures, as well as the Beta Ray Bill figure are the best they have ever produced, but this one looks really off to me (the old Toybiz BAF of the same design was ten times better).
