  1. Not a broken record at all! I think many would love figures based on Madureira. I would love figures based on Madureira, Bachalo, and Ramos!
  2. Thank you! It is amazing to see how often people just can't accept an opinion that is different than their own. People say it is bad sculpt or a bad version if it isn't exactly what they want. Gets exhausting. Not bad, just not what you wanted.
  3. Exactly, thank you! I'm not going to debate whether the head is accurate to a particular look - you either see it or you don't. And I don't want to try to convince anyone to like it, I just wanted to make the point that it isn't a bad sculpt, it is just a matter of preference.
  4. I think the reaction to the upcoming Hulk figure is really a matter of when you were introduced to the Incredible Hulk. The sculpt by Paul Harding is actually spot on. Might not be your preference, but it is accurate to the 1970's look of the character. Look at The Incredible Hulk comics 150 - 199 and you will see. Again, might not be your preferred look (hey, there are plenty of looks that are not my preferred look), but it isn't bad at all.
  5. I agree that the $32 price tag doesn't feel right, and that I will still buy it though. I loved the 80th Anniversary Cap, but the colors on this one are the most accurate to the Cap in my head from my youth. I feel the same about Hulk and Ironman in this series, but the head sculpts are top notch, so I am in on the too (and Paul Harding sculpts will always hook me).
  6. Love this!!! Still shocked Hasbro hasn't made a few waves where the characters come with Skrull alternate pieces (Heads, arms, etc.). Seems like a no brainer - who wouldn't buy doubles of these waves?!
  7. Isaacs was horribly cast as Apocalypse (Djimon Honsou), but he looks great in this.
  8. Hell of a gamble to bypass purchasing this one in the hopes one comes out with the screaming head... but I totally get ya! I didn't get the Joe Fixit wave because I am convinced they will release a Joe Fixit and Patch 2 pack with both in proper suit colors, and a proper head sculpt for Hulk. 😉
  9. Agree with most of what you had to say, but c'mon, that Doctor Strange is practically perfect (and I am a huge fan)... only thing that could have made it better would have been a detachable cape (but not a problem), and a lighter blue or white on the design on his shirt. But the head sculpts are top notch! Paul Harding sculpted the head on this Strange and Sabretooth, and he has a really great style. The Sabretooth isn't the version I want most, but the design is actually very accurate to the first appearance in size and design (though the hair color was lighter in the comics). I am interested to see how the final product looks, because Paul Harding's original black and white model for it looked even better. https://www.instagram.com/p/CXkBRU_LEdH/
  10. Yeah, until they announced there would be a character without legs, I was fully convinced the BAF would be Blob. Pretty certain we will probably get him soon, but really happy to get Bonebreaker!
  11. Love this wave! Would have rather seen a larger version of Sabretooth (but they have said that is coming), and they certainly could have dodged putting in another Wolverine (or at least put in a more interesting version), but Havok is way better than I could have hoped for, and getting 5 characters that have never been done is pretty amazing!
  12. DAMN, I have wanted an updated Classic Doctor Strange for so long, and this thing is beautiful! Can't wait to have it in hand! Now can we please get classic versions of Beta Ray Bill, Valkyrie, Powerman, Iron Fist, Adam Warlock, Ronan, Drax, Yondu, Gamora, Nebula, Blob, Hela, and Dum Dum Dugan?
  13. I really love Tom Holland, but I don't believe for a second that he will be cast as James Bond (too young, too tiny). Totally agree with you about Venom. Tom Hardy is a wildly talented guy, but Sony's take on Venom is just so goofy (I don't like the character at all anyway, but Sony just made it truly awful). I have seen both in theaters because my son loves them, but I just don't get them at all. When the post credits scene made Venom a part of the MCU I was so disappointed (how could Feige allow this), but then when the Spiderman post credits scene took him back out, I think I might have actually cheered out loud. And as much as I hope Garfield gets another shot at a Spiderman film, I would rather he didn't if it means he will have to fight Venom - I just hate that!
  14. You could be right, but my bet would be on reshoots - filming Spiderman and or Venom stuff to add to this and make it a bigger event.
  15. Boring if not well motivated - I totally agree. If there is a solid motivation for the conflict, then I would be all in, but sadly I feel a lot of comics are rushed, so they don't spend the time working that stuff out... and they recycle a lot, without doing enough to make it fresh and new.
  16. I bought mine for Captain Britain (which is fantastic), but I love the other two more than I thought I would. You will love the X-Force 3-Pack - AGAIN, so much better in hand than in the pics. Now can the Skrulls, and Shield Agents get here already?!
  17. Nice! I liked this figure so much more than I expected to from initial pics.
  18. Not sure why folks are having such a problem with the head sculpt. It is definitely reminiscent of the original Toybiz Hulk, and comics back in the day. Might not be for you, but I think it looks great. And this was a big expensive new buck, so of course they will want to get their monies worth out of it. Only a matter of time before we get one that is retooled to be Gladiator Hulk / World War Hulk.
  19. This is a nice update, but I wish they would have re-done the knees, as they were the one sore spot of the original release.
  20. Now this is an interesting re-use of an excellent figure, so I don't mind it at all, and will absolutely be getting it! I imagine this figure as well as many others have a strong chance of being re-issued with Skrull heads around the time Secret Invasion hits Disney + in 2022...or one can hope at least! 😉
  21. This new buck is really great! It will be interesting to see which characters are slated to be re-done with this buck. Since they said the Toybiz Anniversary figures would be around 12 in total, I looked back over all of the figures TB produced, and it is amazing to see how many have already been re-done by Hasbro, or are slated to be re-done in the next year. The Toybiz figs I could see being re-done (either within the Anniversary line, or elsewhere) would be Angel, Iron Fist, Powerman, Beta Ray Bill, Daredevil, Warbird, Ant-Man, Blackheart, Vengeance, Namor (with the vest), Longshot, Marvel Monsters, Lizard, Jigsaw, Baron Strucker... and Cyclops, Phoenix/Dark Phoenix, Beast, Black Widow, and Ghost Rider since it has been a while since they re-did these. Amazing to think those are the only ones they haven't re-done yet (or in a while). Gotta hand it to Hasbro for really delivering for fans.
