  1. I tend to think of the Marvel Knights being Daredevil, Moon Knight, Shang-Chi, Black Widow and Dagger primarily, maybe Punisher also. I definitely don't think of either Luke or Danny as part of this team - I tend to think of them as Heroes for Hire... but a quick google search found some images with both of them as part of the team as well as Spider-Man, White Tiger and Ghost Rider. I am liking the look of this Luke Cage. I've continued to use the Toy Biz version in my display all of these years. An update will be appreciated.
  2. Great! I loved him in the Walking Dead and Invincible. He was just ok in a far more minor role in Nope. I think that he'll be a great addition to the MCU cast!
  3. Yep, that's a big kick in the nuts. I only want Cosmo, Kraglin and Mantis. I'll still buy Kraglin and Mantis but not sure what I'm going to do about Cosmo yet. I'm a character completionist so I will still end up with Cosmo regardless, but I'm going to have to think about whether it's more cost effective to just buy the other figures and sell them loose, purchase just the BAF outright by itself or the other parts I need individually from ebay. I find myself considering if I could use any of the Drax, Nebula, Rocket or Warlock figures as anything useful for customs. Who else wore costumes similar to these Guardian blues in the comics? I find myself pondering if I could use the body from this Nebula with the Wolfsbane head from the New Mutants figure to make Deathcry (of course the Mantis body would work better, but that doesn't help me in regards to buying these figures that I don't really want just to get the BAF part). Or take the Drax figure and make it into a way too buff Bug? There's probably nothing that I could do with Rocket. I might use the head and hands of Adam Warlock to make the X-Men's Elixir. Like others have stated, I have a hard time understanding why they didn't just make that deluxe Groot the BAF with Rocket and Cosmo in one package. I know that I would have strongly preferred that as it would have saved me at least $75. I'm absolutely shocked that High Evolutionary didn't end up being the BAF. We have to expect that he and Gamora will get store exclusive figures somewhere then, right?!? Not that I personally want either of them (as I have comic versions that I already prefer), but they're pretty important characters to the movie. I picked up one of those all metallic gold McFarlane DC Multiverse Wonder Woman exclusive figures from Walmart on clearance to be my Ayesha/Her/Kismet for now since it doesn't sound like she's going to get a figure despite appearing in two of the movies now.
  4. I'll be buying this Kraven because all I have currently is one from ToyBiz. With that being said, I'm not a huge fan of this animated look for him.
  5. If that's the case then Mantis is the only one of that group who hasn't already had a comic version done - although I know that a lot of people want a classic Drax also. If they do end up doing a comic Mantis then I hope it gets announced before the movie wave comes out. I have the BAF, but don't really like it. A classic comic Nebula would be fantastic also. I keep plan on making a custom using parts from the What If Heist Nebula and Shriek but haven't gotten around to it. I'd be delighted if it was even Cosmo! It's also worth pointing out that Sylvester Stallone as Starhawk and Michael Rosenbaum as Martinex are expected to have larger roles in this third movie than they did in the second, but I think that it's supposed to be just those two this time and not the rest of the team from that one scene in the last one. Maybe we could get a store exclusive 2-pack of those two.... I'd prefer comic, but MCU would be better than nothing.
  6. We already know who it is. It's Noh-Varr. He was included in the leaks for The Marvels movie wave as a comic based figure (along with Commander Rogers and the Sentient Iron Man Armor). I'm not saying that there won't be somebody else also, but Noh-Varr has been part of the team within the last few years and we're confident he's coming based upon Rektangular's info. Hopefully it's a significant upgrade over that Protector figure that we got of him from Hasbro all those years ago. I still have that figure in my Avengers display, though.
  7. I'd be shocked if we get another Ant-Man movie. We kind of know who wins this battle, don't we??? I won't be the slightest bit surprised if Cassie is the only "hero" that survives this movie - as a matter of fact, that's fully what I'm expecting.
  8. I honestly haven't seen any projected dates for any of these but if experience is any guide they usually go up for pre-order at least 60-90 days before they're actually available. I know that I had Target exclusive GI Joe Classified pre-orders in for more than a year before they came out not too long ago (Bazooka/Recondo/PPOfficer). Legends have routinely been beating their expected release dates over the last several months though, sometimes by a lot!
  9. Well, classic Ant-Man is a surprise. I don't want him anywhere near as much as I wanted Yondu and the tracksuit mafia guys, but went ahead and pre-ordered him as well. For me, I'll still have Hank as the Giant-Man BAF in my Avengers display along with comic Janet, MCU Hope/Nadia, comic Cassie/Stinger and the Marvel Universe Bill Foster / Goliath. I've got that old Walgreens exclusive as Eric O'Grady / Black Ant and the MCU Yellowjacket as villains in that same Avengers display. My Ant-Man is Scott Lang and I've actually got him displayed with The Fantastic Four rather than the Avengers.
  10. I was only able to do 2 tracksuit mafia guys at a time so I did that as one order and then went back and did Yondu and a third tracksuit mafia guy as a second order. Hopefully that will fly. I was kind of frustrated that the tracksuit mafia guys were at $27.99 each while Yondu was $24.99.
  11. Patiently waiting for these to get added to the site. I definitely want Yondu and at least 3 of these tracksuit mafia dudes. Hopefully they'll be up at 1 pm central.
  12. Yondu is a must get for me so I can finally retire the MCU version (although I love Michael Rooker!). This hint at something that has troop builder potential has me intrigued!!! Nova Corps? A Skrull? Kree Soldier? Maybe some half human/animal hybrid with swappable parts from High Evolutionary's army? Maybe finally a Chitauri or Outrider from Thanos' army? Badoon? Brood? So many possibilities!!!
  13. Yep, Rektangular said full MCU wave of Starlord, Nebula, Mantis, Drax, Adam Warlock, Rocket and Kraglin with unknown BAF. In addition there's expected to be a deluxe winged Groot with baby Rocket. My expectation right now is that (like Tarot) I'll only be getting Kraglin (new character) and Mantis (to replace the BAF). I'd likely consider Nebula if she's a marked improvement over the prior version, but I'd really prefer a classic comic version of her. I am also hoping that they can find ways to get us Ayesha, Starhawk, Martinex, Cosmo and Lylla who are all also supposed to be in this movie as well... and we know that High Evolutionary will be offered somewhere (probably as the BAF). I'll still be sticking with the F4 retro comic version of him though since I bought like 4 of him while he was under $10 and I just plain prefer comic figures.
  14. From that leaked list I know that I will want Hawkeye & his SkyCycle, Super Adaptoid, Thor/Destroyer, Black Knight/Sersi, Monica Rambeau / Dr. Doom and Skrull Queen / Super Skrull. My assumptions here are that the Captain Marvel / Dr. Doom is indeed Secret Wars and that the Super Skrull will actually not be Kl'rt but the same Illuminati version that Diamond is doing in their Marvel Select line (that is due to be released in April). I have no idea if those are correct but that seems to be the popular speculation. Of course the popular speculation was also that the Ultron for the Quantumania wave was going be a gold repaint, and we know how that turned out. The maybes for me are the super pose-able Black Widow and the Hulk / Banner 2-pack. Iron Man Mark I is the easy pass for me unless it hits clearance for under $10. I'm still hoping for some surprises that weren't already leaked! I some how failed to get either the Super Skrull wave Doom or the retro card version, so I'm hoping that I dig the Secret Wars version (if that is indeed what it is). The only Hasbro version of Doom that I have is the white one from that Villains wave. I still have the first first Toy Biz Doom and a handful of the Doombot variants in my display.
  15. As Jay says, it's always just rumor until confirmed by Hasbro, but if anybody cares for a reminder of what Rektangular's leaks included for the Avengers Anniversary stuff (estimated November release date) other than the Puff Adder wave, of course: Bucky Barnes Captain America (Walmart Exclusive) Hawkeye with SkyCycle Marvel Knights Wave (Figures TBD) Iron Man Mark I Super Adaptoid 12" (Fan Channel) Two-Pack: Hulk and Bruce Banner Super Poseable Black Widow Two-Pack: Thor and Destroyer Two-Pack: Black Knight and Sersi Two-Pack: Monica Rambeau and Dr Doom Two-Pack: Skrull Queen and Super Skrull If they were to reveal all of this (which I can't imagine they'd do all at once) then we will already have seen the vast majority of Rektangular's leaks revealed for the whole year and it's only February! Feels like they're moving fast. The only other comic figures that Rektangular leaked that hasn't yet been revealed was a Spider-Man wave. Otherwise everything else on his list that hasn't yet been revealed are movie or tv waves (ITSV2, GOTG3, Marvels, No Way Home Wave 2, Disney+ Wave 5 and X-Men 97). Maybe they're just getting all of the comic figure reveals done early in the year? Of course we know that a couple of those movie waves will still include comic figures also.
  16. I would absolutely love a Devil Dinosaur with both Moon Girl and Moon Boy as pack-ins!! I worry that that this would never get funded as a HasLab though. I've got a custom of DD that I made that is only about 10" tall and 24" long (nose to tail). Since it's woefully undersized, I keep it just outside of my Legends dispaly with the old Marvel Universe 3.75" scale Moon Boy on his neck with a lot of my other undersized or not quite Legends worthy figures. Some other that I keep just outside of my normal collection there include the old Toy Biz 5" scale Stegron, a heroclix Ziran the Tester, a heroclix Mole Monster, the old Toy Biz diorama Mole Monster, 5" scale versions of Ironclad and Bi-Beast from a Hulk movie/gaming series, several of those Buzz Lightyear Zyclops figures, Marvel Universe Cosmo the Space Dog, Toy Biz 6" Hybrid symbiote figure, the Marvel Universe SHIELD Hellicarrier and that flying ship that I can't remember the name of for some reason that the Avengers and Agents of SHIELD also used, the Toy Biz X-Men X-Jet, a heroclix Kree Supreme Intelligence and several other custom figures that I've done myself that I keep separate since they weren't officially made by either Hasbro or Toy Biz.
  17. This sounds like it could be interesting, but I don't trust Sony whatsoever to do anything good with it. They've completely lost the benefit of the doubt. If they're in charge of creative instead of Marvel Studios, it never seems to end well.
  18. I went ahead and pre-ordered the whole wave (minus Scott) from BBTS, but the only three that I'm really excited about are Crossfire, Egghead and Future Ant-Man but still liked Kang, Ultron and Wasp enough to go ahead and build Cassie.
  19. I bought this one and compared it to my old one and I've got to say that it's a much bigger upgrade than I realized. When I first saw this new one revealed I didn't think that highly of it - but having both in hand there's really no comparison.
  20. Thanks Jay! My initial thoughts from seeing this wave: Crossfire, Egg-Head and Future Ant-Man (Ant-Man of 2549, Dr. Zayn Asghar) are all instant buys for me. I love how all three of them look! I could honestly see myself buying multiples of Egg-Head if I find additional ones at a reduced price. That new Hope looks like a huge improvement over the first one and is now a must-buy for me as well. I'm not generally big into MCU figures but Hope (as Nadia, which means Hope) is an important character in the comics herself and we've never gotten a comic figure of her. I'm on the fence with Ultron as this isn't at all what I expected. I'm going to have to see some comparisons of him and the other most recent one to decide if I want him or not upfront. He's probably not a buy at full price but I'd probably jump at a reduced price down the line and possibly even buy multiples. That MCU Kang is honestly so much better than I expected. I originally had zero interest in him but I'm honestly finding myself seriously rethinking that. I'll probably want to see side-by-side pictures of this one and the comic version from the Joe Fixit wave before deciding, but it's likely that I'll stick with the comic version. I already have so many MCU Scott figures that I just don't really want another one. It would be nice if he doesn't come with a BAF part for that reason. I'm glad that Cassie is the BAF rather than MCU MODOK, as I'm far more likely to want her (I really like the Stinger figure they did in the 2-pack a couple of years ago), but even then she's only a maybe for me - but the fact that it's her rather than MODOK makes it more likely that I'll end up buying the whole wave, even if I wait for some markdowns for some of the figures. I might like a version of her as Stature rather than Stinger. One point of confusion that I have though, is the only Cassie figure the BAF or does she have a regular sized figure in the wave as well? That wasn't crystal clear to me based upon Jay's original write-up. I'm thinking she's just the BAF, but not certain. I'm sure that even if she's only the BAF there will likely be another regular sized version of her some point, possibly as a store exclusive. Honestly it probably doesn't matter to me anyway as I'd likely only want the BAF version. Thanks!
  21. The speculation that I've seen has mostly been that it will be the most recent Ultron figure repainted in gold.
  22. Rektangular's leak list had Future Ant-Man as the other figure so I'll assume that's who it is unless/until we find out otherwise. He hasn't been wrong on anything yet. I'm pretty certain to get Crossfire and Egghead. Future Ant-Man, Ultron and Wasp are maybes. I have zero interest in another MCU Scott, MCU Kang or MCU MODOK. Cassie is likely to be an exclusive somewhere but I'm pretty happy with the comic Stinger figure that I already have so likely won't be interested in her either. Maybe Bill Murray's character will get an exclusive somewhere also, and I'd definitely buy that!
  23. I received this 5-pack from BBTS a few days ago and I love every figure. I haven't had a chance to pull out my old Stryfe figure yet and compare the two - but this is just an excellent set of figures!
