  1. I have the Fin Fang Foom! Gimme that Blackbird!! Who needs a kitchen table?!? It can easily become the display stage for my new Blackbird!!
  2. This certainly looks worth it (for the price), and its appearance can become even closer to Ross Andru's artwork in ASM #130 if the webbing is colored in with a marker, but it just looks too small for Legends figs. What do you folks think? Has anyone seen this in hand?
  3. Gee, just one day ago, this website claimed that "Shang-Chi" was a bust and a financial failure. Which is it? An abject failure, or a film that broke a 14-year-old Labor Day record? I'm so confused! {Actually, I'm not. i'm joking. I fully comprehend the difference between a bust and a success. I hope everyone who reads these posts is equally discerning.)
  4. Photo of the Day has to be my favorite feature on this site. I've downloaded most of them and made myself a very classy screen saver with them! My thanks to all the creative artists who provide them for us!
  5. S.H. Figuarts figs are so attractive and so screen-accurate (right down to Black Widow's frown lines!), but they are so fragile! I have a few, and each time I try to pose them, the leg falls off or the arm falls off or both. Yes, they snap right back on again, but they are just too annoying to own (especially for the price that is well above of the more-sturdy Legends figs).
  6. I love when Hasbro produces new figs (rather than the 117th Spidey or Wolvie fig)! Cyber is not "A List," but it's his first time in plastic, so I am all over it!
  7. Walgreens is THE WORST. I urge Hasbro to stop sending them exclusive figures. Yesterday, an exclusive two-pack dropped at Target, so I easily pre-ordered it. And an exclusive two-pack dropped at Amazon, so I easily ordered it. The past Walgreens exclusives, and presumably these upcoming figures? Nearly impossible to order online and an absurd chore to find in a store. Hasbro, please stop pretending that Walgreens is able to handle exclusive Legends; they are not.
  8. WOW!! OMG!!! What a great idea!!! And fantastic concept that was executed perfectly!! You're a champ!
  9. Ryan, I've been a fan of yours since the days of Wizard magazine. When you post something for the planet to view, please try to remember to comb your mustache!
  10. Thank you, Hasbro! I wish more companies were more like you (i.e., more concerned about the environment than their bottom line). Bravo!
  11. I don't collect Funko Pops, but man oh man is this assortment tempting me big time! I have Octo-Spidey in 5" from Toy Biz back in the day, and I have a custom Bag-Man that I created from a 5" Toy Biz Mr. Fantastic and a paper bag...but they are inadequate (are you listening to me, Hasbro?!). While I wait for Marvel Legends versions of these figs...I may have to hunt down these Pops!
  12. For my money, the winner is...both! As JayC pointed out, both are quite comic accurate (for their time). Although I may have a preference for the classic look vs. the modern look, this has nothing to do with the figures. They are both worthy (pun intended!) additions to my collection!
  13. Hello, JC! Thanks for yet another honest, fair and comprehensive review of Marvel Legends figures! All of us out here in the "internet ether" appreciate you more than you know! I apologize for the (potential) inappropriateness of my question here, but I am too ignorant to PM you directly. And, perhaps, my question will interest other collectors of Marvel Legends figures. My question concerns stands for six-inch Marvel Legends action figures. I've tried a few...and none are acceptable. The peg is always too large or too small. I've noticed that Hasbro simply uses a hot glue gun when they display their figures at conventions. This, obviously, is unacceptable to collectors. Thus, my question: are you aware of a source for stands that work perfectly for most six-inch Marvel Legends figures? In any event, thanks again for another terrific review!
  14. To quote Sgt. Fury: "Wah-hooo!" I can finally replace my 5-inch, ToyBiz figure of Silver Samurai!! I just got a notice from BBTS that my preorder has arrived, so I'll have this wave in my hands in a week or so! Can't wait!
  15. To reiterate previous comments, terrific running effect! And that pose must be another effect also, right? I can't believe that you were able to balance the fig in that pose! Nice job!
  16. Thanks for the terrific review! I've preordered through BBTS and now I'm filled with even more anticipation!
  17. You are so creative! This is kit bashing at its best! I need to hire you to come to my home to pose my figs!
  18. Simply beautiful. My birthday is coming up. Hint, hint. Anyone? Bueller? Anyone?
  19. One more thing! You show an MCU Cap figure holding mjolnir. I have a couple of Marvel Legends Cap figs from Civil War, and his hands are always in a closed fist. Where did you get that open hand for Cap that can hold the hammer?
