  1. Here’s Natasha from the issue I referenced above (March 1994, Captain America issue 425). The new figure is spot on with this look. Growing up with this comic in my collection set this appearance as my default mental image for Natasha. I always considered kit bashing to recreate it. I am SO stoked for this new figure.
  2. Definitely subjective. I remember when GotG was announced by Marvel Studios. I watched the trailer thinking "Where's Vance Astro?" I was also pretty bummed out that Aleta wasn't in it, haha. I was only vaguely familiar with the title back in the early 90s. I certainly didn't follow it for the two and a half decades between then and the film's release. Darkhawk is another early 90s guy with whom I'm familiar only because I had a classmate in third grade who was obsessed with the character while the rest of us were into the X-Men.
  3. I've seen it going for around $35 online. If you can manage the extra $10, that might be your most reliable option.
  4. On topic, I'm surprised to see the figures being listed above as pegwarmers. Here on the Alabama gulf coast, all I ever see is Lizard BAF Wave Spider-Woman and Gwenpool. Walgreens' shelves will always carry, like, ONE Medusa or Yellow-Suited Daredevil, maybe a Thundra or Namor. Until recently, there was absolutely no shortage of Time Heist-Suited Cap, but that wasn't a surprise.
  5. The example that always comes to mind for me is FF's 80s costumes: white trims, BLACK fill. It had been explicitly stated in the issues' dialogue among characters, albeit probably only a very few number of times. I'm holding my breath in hope that when the figures depicting this era are released, they're properly colored.
  6. This was exactly my line of thought when the figure was unveiled at SDCC. I'd been referring to that depiction of Thor as "Fat Thor," which I thought was direct and concise enough. I definitely agree that the Big Lebowski references and any derivative of the name "Lebowski" are far more applicable than "bro" (which to me, like in your case, mentally conjures negatively-associated images of the entitled, American, "frat" stereotype). I have a feeling it's a case of the latter from your list of possibilities (a generational re-purposing of an existing word that contradicts or negates the existing meaning and associations). I've just been presuming since SDCC that Hasbro was making an effort to distance themselves from The Big Lebowski for legal reasons. Maybe Hasbro was considering "Bro" as an interchangeable term for "Dude"? Like how a budget-brand version of "Frosted Flakes" might be called "Sugar-Coated Corn Flakes"?
  7. I'm honestly not too familiar with She-Hulk other than her brief tenure in the Fantastic Four and a few scattered appearances by her in other characters' titles, but I'm with you. If I was going to add a new ML She-Hulk to my collection, I'd prefer it to be one of the three you listed.
  8. I know it's been said thousands of times already, but She-Hulk in her FF uniform would have been a better fit. I suppose they skipped that iteration this time since the rest of the team is depicted in their modern appearance. With that said, I'm hoping we get a FF She Hulk whenever the figures of the team in their Secret Wars-era white & black costumes are released.
  9. Yeah, SS's legs in those pictures look like they're from the Hyperion/Sabertooth sculpt. I've probably overlooked it, but has the sixth figure in the FF wave been announced?
  10. I'm holding off on purchasing the Walgreens Dani Moonstar to include as my Wolfsbane in hopes of Hasbro releasing Wolfsbane in her Government X-Factor costume.
  11. Doctor Strange in his Silver Age costume has been on my wish list for several years now. I would be all over these two 2-Packs.
  12. I knew they released a 1:18 Chitauri back then; I've never seen the 1:12 figure.
  13. Hold on. I didn't realize Hasbro released a Chitauri figure for the first Avengers film. Or does your note of a "re-release" refer to the 1:18 Chitauri? My list comprises: Happy Hogan (Iron Man) Whiplash Mk 2 (Iron Man 2) Justin Hammer (Iron Man 2) Aldrich Killian (Iron Man 3) Batroc (Captain America: The Winter Soldier) Scarlet Witch (Avengers: Age of Ultron) Quicksilver (Avengers: Age of Ultron) Miek (Thor: Ragnarok) Cornell Stokes (Luke Cage) Willis Stryker (Luke Cage) Bushmaster (Luke Cage) Kilgrave (Jessica Jones) Daredevil in Vigilante Costume (Daredevil) Kingpin (Daredevil) Bullseye (Daredevil) Batroc has been a pipe dream for me ever since I bought the Winter Soldier Stealth Suit Cap. Miek is only on that list now that "Bro Thor" and Korg are both available. I'd love to display those three figures gaming on a couch. That Diamond Select Westworld figure of Anthony Hopkins' character has an amazing Anthony Hopkins headsculpt. I've often hoped a customizer could get his or her hands on it and make an amazing custom MCU Odin. Speaking of headsculpts to use for customs, I've also thought the headsculpt of the DC Multiverse Shazam! villain, Dr. Sivana (played by Mark Strong), could make a great head for a custom Dr. Erskine from Captain America: The First Avenger. Dr. Erskine was played by Stanley Tucci, who looks a lot like Mark Strong. I realize any hope held out for the release of any Netflix show characters is probably in vain, but I really love the figures that came out with the Man-Thing BAF Wave and the SDCC 2018 exclusive set. It'd be awesome to display them with their corresponding villains.
  14. The thing that really irks me with those Iron Man Iron Monger figures is that the scale is way off. I went ahead and found an old 1:18 Iron Man from Hasbro's 2008 Iron Man line to display with that "1:12" Iron Monger. Much better scale, but I'd really like a properly scaled 1:12 to go with the rest of my MCU Legends.
  15. Haha, yeah that was basically my line of thought, too. Regardless, I wouldn't mind Hasbro releasing a Random figure.
  16. Should Random be on the Government X-Factor list?
  17. It's been a while since I've logged on, so I'm only just now seeing your post. I've got the Cull Obsidian arm if you still need it.
  18. What do you think is the likelihood of the one figure with both classic (Donald Blake) and Erik Masterson heads? Eh, probably highly unlikely. It'd be a great move on Hasbro's part though, like the two Hobgoblin head sculpts.
  19. BBTS has Cap-wolf on sale. I buckled and bought him. I was so excited to finally have a comic Cap to display. My figure shipped earlier this week; presently en route to my house. Yay! Then I wake up today to Toyfair news. Hahaha, I'm not patient enough for this hobby. On that note, anyone interested in a NIP Cap-wolf? Willing to sell or trade! ;)
  20. Can't remember where I read it, but I read Friday, 22 February. Any way, it looks like the consensus is before the end of this month.
  21. MCU Happy Hogan Justin Hammer Obadiah Stane Comics Alicia Masters Rick Jones Gwen Stacy
