Marvel Studios' Echo Disney+ Series Official Trailer
Satam replied to JayC's topic in Marvelous News's General Area
Yeah, when this was announced, I couldn't have cared less. After these two trailers and reading who else is in the cast, I'm actually really looking forward to this. -

Live-Action Spider-Man Noir Series Coming To Amazon
Satam replied to JayC's topic in Marvelous News's General Area
Oh, fun. The Punisher series was terrible. -
The fact that it had to be debunked meant that it got enough traction online, where things spread rapidly, that people began asking about it...some of them for clicks of their own. In this case there's substantial evidence that it's not true and apparently no real evidence that it is-just one person saying something seemingly without merit, watching as people share it and hoping they click on her Youtube page for more sensational BS. Anyway, this is derailing the thread a bit. No one is saying you have to like Pedro Pascal personally. No one is even saying you can't continue to believe this rumor about him, despite the rather obvious lack of evidence. You clearly want this rumor to be true, and that's fine. Belive what you want. I will remind you, however, that the purpose of this site is to share and discuss news (news that has been vetted by folks like JayC and Outsiders) and not gossip and baseless rumors. At this point, I suggest you drop the subject.

I can't find the episode of Bill Burr's podcast where he talked about this right now, but I remember him debunking it, too. The rumor about him insisting his face be seen in season 2 seems to be the full extent of his so called "diva" antics, and like Tarot, I'm curious as to where you specifically read that, because an internet deep dive on my part didn't turn up anything on any legitimate entertainment news site like Variety, Vanity Fair, THR, Deadline, etc. I did, however, find a some youtubers and redditors perpetuating the rumor, which appears to have originated with Grace Randolph, who is notorious for making up and spreading sensational bull**** in order get clicks/views and is living proof that many rumors come from no point of experience at all.

Hasbro Celebrates Avengers 60th Anniversary! Part 1 of 7
Satam replied to toynewman's topic in Marvelous News's General Area
I hope they're going to release some comic Marvel Zombies figures in the coming year, because this big bastard is less than 150 away from hitting that first stretch goal. I'll be VERY surprised if it doesn't happen, and I think it would be a shame if zombie Giant Man had to spread the Hunger virus all on his own. -

Rancor was doing very well in its final day, but it had been too far behind for it to be enough in the end. -
It is an Emma Frost head, after all.

Hasbro Celebrates Avengers 60th Anniversary! Part 1 of 7
Satam replied to toynewman's topic in Marvelous News's General Area
Possible. But there's always been a contingent of folks who are mad that some figure is "locked behind a paywall" and say they won't back a project because of that. Regardless of whether Giant Man crosses that 10,000 mark or not, we'll never know what could have happened. -

Okay, so then it does look like the plates go in from the back (or the inside, rather). Now what I want to know is if the mask is made of some kind of flexible material to make it easier to swap the faces. -

Okay. Cool. Despite what they said in that launch video, it looks like they don't go in from the back after all. It looks like they just swap in at the front, with the mask being painted on each plate (it isn't now, but it looks like it will be since the mask countours are sculpted on there) and then the eyes are swappable through the back of each plate. This makes way more sense than the way it was initially described, and I assume the engineering changed a bit as they went along. -

Very likely, but we'll never know. Not really. Also, and this wasn't your point, but I have seen it brought up here several times, so I thought it was worth addressing: For every collector who thinks this Haslab is hurt by not offering 6" figures in addition to the 24" Giant Man, there's another collector who would refuse to back this thing because he hates it when figures are "locked behind a paywall" and is glad that Hasbro hasn't gone this route. The one thing I wish they'd do, which would help (but I don't know how much) would be to post a video demonstration of how the face plates actually work. Obviously they go in from the back, but it's also a lot less obvious than a Hot Toys figure (or similar) with big blank spaces where the mouth and eye pieces plug in from the front. This shouldn't need to be said, but I'll say it anyway for clarification: Disagreements are not inherently problematic and are not automatically shut down, contrary to what you may believe. Debates are discussion, and discussion is encouraged. It's the entire purpose of this board. The problem is fighting. As long as people aren't getting nasty when they disagree with each other, and as long as it's not totally off-topic or some hot button thing like religion or some political issue, which has no place here, Marvelous News staff should have no issue with it. I hope that's clear.
