  1. That's a render on the box and not a photo, and sometimes things in the box are not exactly as they appear in the render. That said, what's on the box is usually at least a good indication ("approximation" or whatever you want to call it) of what's inside, so I wouldn't be surprised at all if it looks pretty much exactly like it does there. A pretty good D'Onofrio Kingpin head stuck on a Happy Hogan body, which while larger than the other suited bodies, is still much too small for Fisk - even the Netflix version.

So after looking at the pictures and reading all about the figure.I have a question.....What are the 3 movie-inspired accessories?...Because I only see one...The Darkhold book..if they're talking about the Pink magic effects well they don't count because other figures came with those...so not Movie Inspired...So what are the other two???

They probably are talking about the effects.

I was wondering when they'd get around to these types of crossovers...when DC and Darhorse(?)) did them they were fun but forgettable stories. Think they did Aliens too

So judging by the art, this story may take place shortly after Wolverine escapes the Weapon X facility? So maybe a dazed and confused Wolverine gets his butt handed to him at first? Then comes back all feral and exacts bloody revenge? Could be fun

Sure hope they don't crossover with say Squirell Girl. Wolverine makes sense, maybe Punisher.. they could sneak in a Conan battle maybe...

Conan would be really ****ing cool.

I don't think a laser can do any damage to an Adamantium cervical vertebrae, so his head couldn't be removed. But I know a number of writers have found a way around this or just ignored it all together.

The Predator doesn't use a laser. It's a plasma weapon. Plasma is one of those things, like phasers in Star Trek, will do as much or as little damage as the writer wants it to do. But we seem to all agree that Wolverine will win.

Any other line and this would be considered a deluxe.

Yeah, I'm glad this isn't a Star Wars Black Series figure.

I only like one of the heads (short haired version), but I like it a lot. I've waited years for the right Black Widow figure, and this one sure seems to be it. At $27.99, with all it comes with, even if I'm not going to use it all, I couldn't pass it up.

  6. The open mouth could have been great, but the fangs are just not prominent enough. Why does he have a wrist stake and a bunch of stakes holstered at his hip? Why the clunky holsters on the sides of his boots? Why so much damn silver.  I like the tattoos and the sword.  This thing could have easily been better than the Marvel Legends Marvel Knights Blade, but it just isn't.

They said this was supposed to be the new, super articulated female buck, but it doesnt look any different from these pictures. Perhaps things will look better later.

It has butterfly shoulders, and I think there might also be a ball joint at the waist like the GI Joe Classified figures.

This is a sad piece of news, Ray was a great actor, did a ton of awesome characters in his day, and way too young to pass, was excellent as Punisher and Volstagg and Firefly, he did a ton of good voice acting over the years, and I was excited to see him in the upcoming Ashoka series, also if you have never seen the movie Cold Skin, that was a weird good one, R.I.P. Ray, you still had a ton to give us.

You'll still see him in the Ahsoka series. It'll probably feel a bit weird, though.
Speaking of good voice acting, he voiced the Punisher in an episode of The Superhero Squad, which was a show for young kids, and it was hilarious.

Well that's the issue right there.  I didn't realize the toynewsi code also included the free shipping, so I figured two separate codes needed to be entered, and of course once you enter a code the option to do any others disappears.  I'd always lean toward free shipping because that tends to be a larger discount for me than 10% off.  Thanks for clearing that up.

You're very welcome. Keep in mind, though, the TOYNEWSI code doesn't include the free shipping. You have to have $59 worth of merch for that, but that discount will apply automatically if you do.

Has anyone ever managed to get both the free shipping and the toynewsi code to work?  Every time I've ever gone to order with free shipping the space to put in any code disappears.  I figure it's one or the other, and that's fine, but if there's an actual way to get both it'd be good to know.

At Entertainment Earth? Yes. Make sure that you have more than $59 dollars worth of merchandise and that at least some of it is in stock. Do not enter both codes. Only enter the ToyNewsI code. The $59 Free shipping discount should apply automatically, so you shouldn't have to enter that at all.  If for some reason it's not applying automatically, and you have more than $59 worth of merchandise in your cart, it seems something is wrong, and I would suggest contacting EE customer service.

Of what little I know of the strike, the demands seem fairly reasonable. I'll need to do some more research

They're completely reasonable. The four big ones are:
    1. Update the residuals agreement for the 2020s, since the same residuals model has been in use since the last strike ended in 2008 and when streaming was no where near as huge as it is now.
    2. Minimum Basic Agreement salaries (minimum pay) have not been updated for years, too, and have fallen behind inflation.
    3. Reform the use of mini-rooms, in which only a small number of writers are employed for a short time before a show starts production. Writers in mini-rooms typically work longer hours (compared to full writers rooms), may not be considered "full time," and are usually paid the minimum for the work they do before a series is picked up (if a show is picked up at all). And there is often a long period of time in between where they may not be working at all. Some writers who work on the pilot or first few scripts or show bible or whatever also may be not asked back when a show is greenlit.
    4. Regulations regarding the use of creative AI.

There are a number of other things they're asking for, too, but the above seem like the most reasonable, and if the studios agreed to these four things at least, the strike would probably end.

I hope this strike doesn't drag on too long. We already had enough delays as far as I'm concerned.

The big studios, Disney especially, have been pretty obstinate and downright dismissive of what the WGA is asking for. I hope it doesn't, but it may need to drag on for quite a while and get them to feel it before they're ready to negotiate in good faith and update fifteen year old agreements.

Yes. If I've learned anything from the Disnet+ shows that I watched, sometimes less is better. Especially if it's nor actually a good show 18 episodes of a bad show is toture.

It's that way with almost so many streaming series on so many platforms. A lot of them have only five or six episodes of story at most and then stretch that **** out over ten or twelve episodes. Eighteen sounds like way too much.

I'm wondering if just using the scripts as is might be a good thing. A lot of these writers have their own vision and just do things they want without respecting the characters anyway.

I'm reading a bit of a contradiction here.

Anyway, I just saw an article about how Deadpool III could be in trouble, because Ryan Reynolds can't do any of his trademark improvisation as that constitutes making changes to the script, which is forbidden during a strike under WGA rules.

Also, as mentioned in the Daredevil thread, there's more to these productions than what a lot of people think about. A lot is done by workers in other unions, who won't work when the productions are being picketed by the WGA, as they consider that crossing the picket line. So, disruptions are happening even on projects that were already in production and in other areas besides writing.

  15. My warning wasn't prompted by Air Walker. I saw no problem with that post. There is nothing wrong with talking about the shape of a figure or what's different in general terms. I am going to unhide the post that prompted my warning for clarity and lock this thread, ending the discussion.

@AndyL You're new, so I'm going to cut you a little slack this time, but in the future, when a moderator or admin issues a warning in-thread, to everyone or to a specific poster, that is not an opening to talk about it. It takes the thread further off topic and frequently results in it getting shut down like this.
