  1. Possible. But there's always been a contingent of folks who are mad that some figure is "locked behind a paywall" and say they won't back a project because of that. Regardless of whether Giant Man crosses that 10,000 mark or not, we'll never know what could have happened.
  2. Okay, so then it does look like the plates go in from the back (or the inside, rather). Now what I want to know is if the mask is made of some kind of flexible material to make it easier to swap the faces.
  3. Okay. Cool. Despite what they said in that launch video, it looks like they don't go in from the back after all. It looks like they just swap in at the front, with the mask being painted on each plate (it isn't now, but it looks like it will be since the mask countours are sculpted on there) and then the eyes are swappable through the back of each plate. This makes way more sense than the way it was initially described, and I assume the engineering changed a bit as they went along.
  4. Very likely, but we'll never know. Not really. Also, and this wasn't your point, but I have seen it brought up here several times, so I thought it was worth addressing: For every collector who thinks this Haslab is hurt by not offering 6" figures in addition to the 24" Giant Man, there's another collector who would refuse to back this thing because he hates it when figures are "locked behind a paywall" and is glad that Hasbro hasn't gone this route. The one thing I wish they'd do, which would help (but I don't know how much) would be to post a video demonstration of how the face plates actually work. Obviously they go in from the back, but it's also a lot less obvious than a Hot Toys figure (or similar) with big blank spaces where the mouth and eye pieces plug in from the front. This shouldn't need to be said, but I'll say it anyway for clarification: Disagreements are not inherently problematic and are not automatically shut down, contrary to what you may believe. Debates are discussion, and discussion is encouraged. It's the entire purpose of this board. The problem is fighting. As long as people aren't getting nasty when they disagree with each other, and as long as it's not totally off-topic or some hot button thing like religion or some political issue, which has no place here, Marvelous News staff should have no issue with it. I hope that's clear.
  5. The first season was very good. Unless there was some kind of creative shakeup on the show, and I don't believe anything like that happened, this second season will probably be good, too.
  6. I think the Spideys sold out (I know Toby did), and Amazon doesn't want to show people sold out items when they search. Octavius and Goblin could have sold out already, too, but it could be possible that they're fan channel with Amazon excluded. @toynewman @JayC can either of you confirm?
  7. I've always liked Bishop as a character, and this is the first Legends figure of him I've liked since the Toy Biz bald variant, which doesn't really hold up these days. I would prefer a relaxed hand over that fist though.
  8. Glad to see Blade can hold the sword with both hands. I just hope removing the jacket isn't required for that.
  9. Who knows? They seemed to already know wasn't a good idea, and there's an interview (with Boog Nice, I think) from San Diego where Dwight indicates that they're planning some kind of variant for single release.
  10. Death stalker wears a cape, not a coat. Also I'm not sure where that hat comes from, but it didn't come with the figure.
  11. Hasbro has double packed the figure they seem to assume will be most popular. They usually do. They're not always right, but that seems pretty clearly what they're doing. It makes sense for retail. It makes less sense for online sales. You're right that it would make the most sense to double pack army builders, and you're right that they're really bad about that, but in this particular wave, there is no army builder.
  12. A case of all the figures in the wave can be ordered from our sponsor Entertainment Earth. Being a case, there are 8 figures, however, including two Kinpin figures.
  13. Please post customs in the custom forum. Not here. Keep your posts on topic, please.
  14. Please avoid discussions and jokes about real-world politics and politicians. Thanks
  15. I'm reminded of the Cantina band figure situation in the Black series. High priced deluxe figure with three instruments and swappable hands on Pulse and a lower priced version of the figure with three different instruments for retail. A lot of collectors figured out that if they wanted the whole band, they could save money by just ordering one of the higher priced deluxe figures and multiples of the regular retail figure.
  16. I was thinking exactly the same thing when I saw Lady Bullseye. I'm really surprised Bi-Beast still hasn't been made.
  17. The Star Wars HasLab is being revealed today. I wouldn't expect the Marvel Haslab to be revealed until that campaign has ended.
  18. What's going on with the hole in the collar?
  19. Medicom figures are typically true 1:12 scale (Legends are actually closer 1:11), so they're almost always smaller.
  20. I stopped watching the trailer partway through, because it looked like it was showing the plot for the whole movie. I really wish they wouldn't do that.
  21. Don't get me wrong, I'm not attributing anything. That was someone else who did that. What I said was we don't know for sure who it wasn't, because we don't know for sure who it was, and that it could have been any studio executive. No one can be ruled out. But to be honest, I don't really give a damn who said it. It was said, it's disgusting, and it's doubtful that only one anonymous studio big shot wants to see that outcome.
