  1. Kingpin (.5" to .75" too tall) Classic Nick Fury (the head on that figure is great, but the body should have been from Spider-Man UK) Blade (The dark blues on the MK figure was an odd choice, the Kitana was just too generic, and the lack of a gun disappointing. I still don't like it, but I can accept the sculpted bits of hair on the top of the modern head, as artists have never been able to decide whether those pointy bits are hair or tattoos. No open mouth or at least a snarl to show off his fangs was also a disappointment)
  2. A big part of the reason for hiring actors from other countries for American roles in big studio movies is that most of them aren't SAG-AFTRA members, and studios can pay them less than the negotiated minimum salaries. I don't believe it works the other way around, so that one is harder to explain. But often the actor is someone like Peter Dinklage, who the producers are super happy to bring onto a project and/or the director has been hoping to work with for years.
  3. Cassandra Webb passed on the Madame Web mantle to Julia Carpenter, so there is a young and attractive Madame Web in the comics. That said, the likelihood that movie or Kraven will be any good are incredibly slim. Venom should have been a flop and Sony seems to have learned the wrong lessons from Morbius.
  4. Technically there is. This is what the Washoe Sherriff's department said in a statement: “Mr. Renner went to retrieve his PistenBully, or snowcat — an extremely large piece of snow-removal equipment weighing at least 14,330 pounds — in an effort to get his vehicle moving,” Balaam said at the time, noting the Hawkeye alum was helping a family member get a “stuck” car out of a snowbank. “After successfully towing his personal vehicle from its stuck location, Mr. Renner got out of his PistenBully to speak to his family member.” He continued: “At this point, it is observed that the PistenBully started to roll. In an effort to stop the rolling PistenBully, Mr. Renner attempts to get back into the driver's seat of the PistenBully. Based on our investigation, it's at this point that Mr. Renner is run over by the PistenBully. … The investigation is ongoing, however, we do not suspect any foul play. I'll repeat that: We do not suspect any foul play. We believe this was a tragic accident.” Anyway, I'm glad that every update since the accident has been a positive one.
  5. As a moderator, you should have the ability to merge the two threads if you want. And you certainly have my permission.
  6. Please keep posts about the end of the Walgreens exclusives go in the appropriate thread, which has been linked below:
  7. 1. Scourge of the Underworld (classic) 2. Enigma 3. Hepzibah (modern) 4. Beast (Astonishing X-Men) 5. Punisher (Tim Bradstreet style)
  8. Forge's gun is a repaint of rifle from the AIM soldier in the Mandroid wave and has shown up a few times in the line between now and then.
  9. Kate Dickie. She played Lysa Arryn in Game of Thrones and Ford in Prometheus.
  10. We have a separate section for reviews over at TNI. Sounds like we may need one here.
  11. We’re looking to improve the forums to make members more likely to use them and to attract new members, as well. What new features, improvements to existing features, or new sections would make the forums more attractive to you and what do you think would make the forums more attractive to new members? Legitimate constructive criticism is also welcome, but please keep in mind that this survey is about features and sections. Tell us what you’d like to see!
  12. It's James Gunn leaning all the way into silliness but keeping it (almost) family friendly and generally pretty sweet. This will be enjoyed by some and not at all by others. Just the way it goes.
  13. I wouldn't have expected Guillermo Del Toro level gore and the F-word flying every other minute from this movie, anyway.
  14. Kevin Feige is in charge of Marvel studios (that includes both movies and tv), and there's no way Iger is going to change that.
