  1. "Dude" is what set you off? Really? I didn't even see, that, I find it so innocuous, especially in comparison to your response. A disagreement is not an invitation for a fight, and a perceived slight is not justification to get insulting. You don't get to dictate who gets respect around here and when. And I really don't appreciate the push back. Best move would have been to respond to me with an "okay" or not to say anything at all and let it go. I suggest you take some time to think about whether you want to be a part of this forum, since you seem to have trouble dealing with the most basic rule we have.
  2. Boog always asks tough questions. If Ryan wasn't prepared to field them, it makes me wonder what the rest of his weekend was like. As the brand manager, I gotta assume this whole campaign has been running him ragged. He's usually much more composed.
  3. Dial it waaaaay back, there. People are entitled to their opinions. People are entitled to disagree. You're getting personal and a bit insulting there. If you have criticism of Hasbro and the Marvel Team, that's fine, but don't attack members or moderators and treat everyone here with respect.
  4. Yeah, I meant the scalloped bits on the lower legs. I couldn't see them at all before on the figure standing next to the packaging. I think they're barely visible and mostly disappear into the white of the cape and the background. I guess I'm starting to get so used to seeing Hasbro release figures across all lines where there are sometimes major differences between what's in the box and what's on the box, that I assumed this was the case again.
  5. Yet another example where the pictures on the outside of the new plastic-free packaging appear to not match the figure inside. This is getting ridiculous.
  6. A Quinjet would probably have worked, but the X-Men Blackbird even in a fudged scale would have been too big to be feasible and keep its proportions from getting too toyish. People did ask for the Hell Charger. But that's not what that car is. It almost is at a glance, but multiple details have been changed to make it NOT a Charger (so that Hasbro doesn't have to pay a fee to Chrysler, I'm sure). Couple that with a price tag that I'm sure no one who asked for the car anticipated - I sure didn't expect $350 for a generic Charger-like knockoff pretty much all by itself - and it was doomed to fail. I don't know if it's the Marvel team directly, or their bosses, but soon they're going to learn a lesson that they should have learned when the Rancor failed, which is a lesson that should have been reinforced after the spectacular failure of Reva's lightsaber: If the value isn't there, people won't spend the money.
  7. TBH, a little bit. She's got a ton of new tooling, extra hands, and six weapons. If she were a Star Wars Black Series figure, Spiral would probably cost $35.
  8. Vision had the mind stone. The soul stone was the one that was guarded by Red Skull on Voromir and could only be obtained through sacrifice.
  9. Losing the figure of Robbie in his human form essentially renders all the "street" parts for the car useless.
  10. $350? Ouch. Chrome brightwork and some detail painting on the chassis might have gone a long way to justifying that price. The tail lights and front turn signals being the wrong shape and the bumper guards being missing are a definite knocks against this, IMO. Gonna have to see what the stretch goals are, but unless they're spectacular, I doubt I'm going to be backing this.
  11. You guys aren't imagining things. Kate looked very good in the render and prototype (preproduction sample?) stages, and then Hailee's likeness was lost in production.
  12. His vest is too short, too. It doesn't need to go all the way down to his belt, although that looks best, but it actually got further away between the prototype and production stages. I was really looking forward to this figure, but seeing that not only did they not fix any of the above after revealing the proto, and that the jacket thing actually got worse, I cancelled my preorder and decided to hold out for a caped version. If it never comes, well...
  13. They wouldn't use the Sunfire buck. I think it's more likely they'll put Isaiah on the older Wolf Cap buck than anything else.
  14. I think they fact that they've been boasting about their "plastic-free" packaging for toys that are made of plastic shows this has been PR spin the whole time. It's been about saving money with the price of oil (and plastic) rising higher, now that it's dropping, the cost of paper is going up a bit, and seeing the negative reaction to this whole thing, they're pulling back. I wonder if they've seen any kind of slump in sales on their collector lines. I'm usually an opener, but there are some themes that I had been collecting MOC and passed on a few new releases because of the new packaging. I'm sure I'm not alone.
  15. They've already reversed course regarding retro figures across multiple lines. Sucks for now, but I have no doubts that within a year or two this whole bull___ thing will be over.
  16. Bombastic Bag-Man is coming on a Retro card, and he's not a repaint (no more than most figures and in some ways less), so no. Also who the hell knows? Sure? Maybe?
  17. It is. Somebody found some Liefeld artwork that looks almost exactly like this and posted it over on another forum back when Toad here was first revealed.
