Star Wars & Marvel MCU 1:12 figures
  1. Face likeness appears MIA as no resemblance to actor IMO. Looks decent with the mask but proportions appear strange from pics & Zippo accessories for a 2nd issue of this character by SHF is terrible and, as a result, a very easy pass for me.
  2. Who wants a sleek looking War Machine? Definitely not me. Doesn't look as good as the better equipped MK 4 IMO & the colors are pretty much the same as that one. Accessories appear to be on the very light side & again no unmasked head. Double whammy by SHF. A very "Meh" & unexciting issue IMO & easy pass for me.
  3. Another disappointing effort by SHF for an exclusive (or otherwise) IMO as missing the following necessary (IMO) accessories with this version: (1) Lightning effects (2) Add'l head sculpts with different expressions & at a minimum one with lightning effect eyes. Apparently SHF missed seeing the Mafex IW Thor official images with all the terrific lightning effects & accessories with that upcoming issue. Easy pass (especially for the exclusive (a/k/a high) price this one will go for). Hopefully Mafex will consider an issue for this version as they'll at least try to provide decent accessories. I'm pretty sure Hasbro will also issue a Marvel Legends version but who knows if it will be decent (like P&G Cap.) or not (like other recent ML Thor issues IMO).
  4. Pretty great job on young Cap. but not sure how Hasbro somehow approved the Peggy Carter fig. as looks nothing like Hayley Atwell. Was looking forward to this 2-Pk. but no plans to pickup now considering the photo-real fail on Peggy Carter. The approximate $50 price point not worth it for only 1 quality ML fig. IMO....
  5. Has all the accessories, a wired cape & multiple head sculpts that the SHF is missing. Hard to make a comparison otherwise to the SHF from official images only. I'll reserve comments until I see a prototype. Also considering all the issues on Mafex recent releases reviews I've seen on YouTube (Hello Iron Spider Waldos easy breakage, arm joints not secured on John Wick 2, Ra's arm breaking off when gently articulating) I still have my concerns relative to Mafex QC issues. There are certain YouTube reviewers out there that sing Mafex praises for all the improvements made to address their historical QC issues but then their are reviews out there on very recent releases that still have significant QC issues.
  6. Face likeness looks way better & everything else on the fig. appears to be more polished & higher quality than the ML IW version IMO. Better accessories too with this one. Too bad SHF toned down the cleavage area appearance from the Tokyo Comic Con (or whatever CC it was where the prototype was displayed) as that one looked closer to the actress & now this one looks closer to the ML IW version. Smaller height/sculpt size also scales much better with rest of the SHF IW & EG lines of figs as the ML IW version is too big of sculpt to include among other SHF MCU figs IMO. Disappointing its a Japan exclusive which makes for a $20 or so bump in price. The ML IW version is going for around $70 or so maybe the exclusive price isn't all that bad in terms of FMV. Can't really make a good comparison until the product is issued as SHF ad pics have historically been understated in terms of face likeness & the issued product likeness is typically improved/better than the ad pics.
  7. The ML Endgame (EG) issues to-date, other than Power & Glory Cap., have been pretty much disappointing IMO. No EG Hulk, Thor, Iron Man Mk. 85 w/Gauntlet, Captain Marvel or Nebula, Armored Thanos BOF w/no waist swivel and ankle pivot & time travel suits color not MCU accurate. Maybe these will get issues and/or rework later but with Hasbro who knows. Considering how huge the movie is in terms of importance to the MCU it seems like Hasbro's effort in producing ML action figures to capture the excitement from the film for the most significant characters has been less than stellar.
  8. Nice work by SHF on this one as looks great with a pretty good likeness to the actress IMO & the flame effects for the hands are cool. Unfortunately light on the accessories however (like certain other recent SHF IW line issues) as should have included at least another unmasked head with a different expression, the cat & some add'l blast effects IMO.
  9. I've ordered a number of ML & SWBS online @ Walmart & have never experienced any negative issues and/or order cancellations related thereto (other than careless pkg.). My only complaint is their pkg. is average at best (comparable to Amazon & Hasbro Pulse) so in certain instances the product box windows have been scuffed up and/or corners damaged from the careless pkg. (if you care about the product pkg.). I'd take the $10 credit offered if I were you as you can order (other than action figures products like) food or other necessities online for in-store pickup and save yourself $10. $10 is $10 in my book.
  10. Corvus Glaive in this set is a pretty amazing fig. and looks more like something from SHF IMO. Props to Hasbro for the attention to detail on one of their better efforts in their ML MCU line. The Loki (repaint) also looks good IMO & even better if you add his crown/horns from the Ragnarok version. This set is completely worth the MSRP IMO & definitely recommend. Typically Walmart exclusives are not that hard to find so should be available again online at some point if it's currently not.
  11. Great looking Falcon & highest quality 1:12 scale issue to date by far IMO. Unfortunately nothing included via accessories that supports this somehow being priced @ $100 (which is price most U.S. e-tailers are listing for) IMO. Should be somewhere in the $50-$60 range IMO, comparable to the rest of the IW line (excl. Thanos) that do not come with TN Effect pieces and/or Marvel stands.
  12. Looking forward to the Hela, Grandmaster & Glaive 2-pks. as all look great along with the applicable add'l fig. in each pk.
  13. The 89 Batman & Captain Marvel both appear to be very HQ & great looking figs. About time we get a quality 89 Batman (that does not break when articulating) & the Captain Marvel face likeness & sculpt otherwise is the best I've seen to-date. The missing cape & no hammer crush hand on Hela is somewhat disappointing however.
  14. Looks like the best 1:12 scale Hulk issued to-date. DD19 gave it a perfect 10 rating which is rare so this one is likely special.
  15. Face sculpt likeness (to SS looks in the IW movie) came out very good on this fig. & the sculpt otherwise is excellent plus the very cool machine gun accessory. Could not be any happier with this version of IW Bucky & EASILY the best 1:12 scale Bucky that's ever been produced. Face sculpt is pretty comparable to Hot Toys for a fraction of the price. I'm not a fan of the ML 2-pack Bucky & Falcon as it's just a repaint of an older figure with no updates for face & hair looks in IW, some strange gun from a previously issued non-Bucky fig. that was not in the IW movie & Falcon has no uzi machine guns (a/k/a pretty much cheap on Hasbro's part IMO). I would not pay any attention to the several other negative posts here re: the face likeness by apparent ML fans regarding this fig. as most of the comments don't make any sense. If you are a fan of how Bucky looked in IW, I highly recommend this fig. as its the highest quality 1:12 scale version (by far) of the character in his most up-to-date look that is available IMO.
