  1. Not familiar with Pretty Boy as a character BUT I can say I'm happy for those who are excited about this fig, as this image shows a product SO much better in virtually every way compared to those first pics we saw.
  2. Happy for those who like it, but I'm not a fan. Head too small. Legs too blocky. "Face" of the helmet looks like something straight out of Wall-E (or however you spell that). Overall design looks like a mech suit or other robotic mashup from some anime series. Literally nothing about this says "Marvel Universe" to me.
  3. From the pic, the style/look of that Ironheart looks more like something I'd expect to see from a cartoon series than from a live-action MCU movie.
  4. Is it just the lighting in the pics, or is the white really that WHITE? I thought it was supposed to be more pearl-esque.
  5. I like the fig, except for the face. Looks nothing like the artwork on the package and every bit the face of someone who just found a turd in their soup.
  6. Not loving Hasbro Pulse today. Bought one Ghost Rider, then went back to buy another. System told me I'd already bought the max per customer (2), even though I checked my order, and it was clearly one fig. Tried to contact Customer Service, and now.....sold out. I don't understand how a company of their size, etc. manages to mess up simple things like that or the recent sale they had where I ordered several items, only to have some canceled, because they apparently sold more than they truly had. Oh well.
  7. What is the source/inspiration for this particular look for Toad? It doesn't match the artwork in the packaging, the version used for the original 20 years ago or any classic Toad I remember. Is this a more recent version?
  8. We need much more of this kind of styling when comics are adapted to the big screen. Some of what has been done to date - especially with some of the characters in the X-Men movies and many of the villains in the Spider-Man movies - has been just plain ugly, lazy or, for lack of a better word, dumb. This, on the other hand, is recognizable as an adaptation from the comic, yet something that could be truly functional for a character and looks "cool".
  9. If the movie is as good as this trailer looks, it's going to be great.
  10. I'm typically an opener and never used to care about packaging (except for figs with exceptionally cool packaging) BUT the thing that scares me about this is paint apps. Literally no ability to see what you're buying, and Hasbro can be THE WORST when it comes to QC. Some figs great. Hard to find a bad one. Others so consistently flawed, it's hard to find a single good one. Like somebody else said, I hope they elevate their QC in a major way, but I already got disappointed by this with the Shield trooper 2-pack (big smear of white paint from the glove onto the blue sleeve). Upside: No temptation to buy multiples to "get a good one" or to have one in package and one out.
  11. Any time a company provides its rationale for a price increase, it reminds me of 2008-2009, when the price of oil went way up, and everything from Hot Wheels to action figures shot way up in price, because of the higher oil prices. However, once those oil prices dropped WAY back down to around the same point they had been previously, not a single company reversed any of the price increases they had made. Funny how that works, isn't it?
  12. Really on the fence with this, because it brings back memories of the X-Men issue titled "Cry D'Spayre" (Uncanny X-Men #144), which was an unusual-but-enjoyable issue guest-starring Man-Thing that always stood out. BUT, I'm struggling with the fig. The artwork on the package is great but none of the shadow/shading in the face/cape from the artwork is present on the fig. Just a basic wash on those parts to bring out the detail and add some depth/realism would have made such a positive difference. Hasbor has shown that they can that kind of thing and do it well, but they do it so rarely and seemingly randomly.
