Internet reviewers with their inflated since of entitlement, "collectors" who buy two or three of everything that comes out so they can have one to open and one to hang in their "toy-cave," scalpers who sell incomplete figures for full price or more, e-tailers like BBTS or Megalopolis who needlessly mark up everything, repackagers and other thieves; sadly there's no shortage of schmucks in this hobby.

Scalpers are the lowest form of scum. I can't imagine trying to make money off of buying Legends waves in mass quantities then trying to mark them up on eBay.  The funny part is when they list them for more than online retailers because they aren’t real fans or collectors.  I’m not looking down on anyone that sells their personal collection by any means.  I’ve sold part of my collection on eBay to fund other figure purchases to make room for more figures.

Someone's already listed the Deadpool figures on ebay (two sets, sold individually, loose without BAF). Probably the same dude that has his reviews up on youtube.

Strong Guy is already up to $220, with 2 hours left 😱

It’s insane that all these unreleased waves have been popping up everywhere on eBay, Mercia and YouTube videos.  Some people must have some crazy connections with people that don’t care about losing their Job to make a few extra bucks.  I don’t know who is worse with the person swiping the cases from the warehouse or the person paying exorbitant prices for the figures.  Aside from a YouTuber that is looking for views I can’t imagine paying these insane prices to get a figure a few months earlier than everyone else.  I’m not saying I am above paying retail, because I have definitely spent upwards of $50 on a much wanted figure, but that is very few and far between.

After two weeks of house-work, work-work the death of my father, and dealing with the legal ramifications of him not leaving a will (it's a b!+ch), I plan on spending today finally opening my AOA Wave my Stan Lee figure and doing some serious decompressing.

I’m sorry to hear about your dad.  The death of a loved one is never easy, but their memories stay with us forever.

Speaking of not finding figures, where is Iron Patriot  from the Bro Thor wave?  I have never seen it in any store, not Walmart or Target.  I have every other figure in the wave (many of which I saw only once and bought when found), but IP has been impossible to find.  And each time I have checked Hasbro’s website, it’s out of stock.

I picked up the Iron Patriot on Amazon.  I’ve never seen 90% of this wave in the wild either.  My local Walmarts have been restocking the Professor Hulk wave from last year.

I laughed so hard when I saw this what an amazing Clearance deal ! ... , those scalpers really want to give you a hot price

Quite the deal there, lol.  I an excited for the all white Moon Knight, but being a Walgreens exclusive is a hit or miss in my area.

  6. I haven’t purchased a 12 inch figure in years and lost interest in that scale.  I collected several 12 inch figures years ago between some of the Marvel soft cloth figures and several Sideshow Toys 12inch figures.  I also collected a ton of 12 inch Star Wars figures, but recently sold 90% of all the 12 inch Star Wars figures from my collection.  The issue I have is cost since some of the Sideshow figures were right at the $100 and higher price range and the space they take on my shelves.  I currently display approximately 18 of my 12 inch figures on a top shelf that I made across three walls in my office.

I Finally found a Gray Hulk in Canada! first time seeing him in person , got him at a Toy Con, got some other stuff, but this was the one! so very excited, I almost gave up ever trying to find him for a retail price

I honestly don't even know if I should take him off this card, it looks so damn cool, holding this massive retro card in hand is insane

I always drag my feet on opening figures like this, but I broke down and finally opened mine last week and made some shelf room for more Legends.

Just out of curiosity, has anybody ever seen Endgame wave 3 at their local WM or Target? Feels like my local stores skipped by this wave, and I’m wondering if that’s a chain wide thing or If it varied from store to store

Wave 3 never hit my local Walmarts or Targets that I typically hunt in.  I saw a few figures in GameStop a few months ago, but that is it.  I originally had the whole wave preordered on DST and ended up cancelling because they received a small shipment and I lost interest in the wave and ended up buying IM and IP through Amazon.

Kinda wish I didn't order that Doctor Doom from Pulse this morning. Hit one of the local Walmarts this afternoon and scooped up the rest of the entire wave. Still not completely sold on "Self-Harm She-Hulk," but it's not that bad a figure. May yet be able to find a place in my collection for her. There were two Dooms on the pegs I had to leave behind.

On a side note, has ANYONE actually seen Vulture in the wild? This is the second time I've found a fresh, otherwise complete set of Demogoblin wave without him in it. Starting to wonder.

I found Vulture Thursday morning at my local Walmart, they had just put out two cases of the FF and Spider-Man wave, but when I stopped by today the pegs were all cleared out except for the two Spidervere Spideys.  I have a feeling that a scalper cleared everything out.

To my surprise there is a version of Gamestop in Australia, it is called EB games...its a bit expensive though, for example the Colossus and Jugs 2 pack sells for 149 AUD = 103 USD.....the cheapest I found is on Melbourne at  95 AUD = 65 USD...same price they plan for the Jean-wolv-cyc 3 pack.

At that cost it would deter me from collecting or being real picky on what I collected.

That does suck, but don't jump to conclusions. I remember buying an Iron Fist at Walmart years ago. The crotch as it turns out was in two pieces, literally like it had never been glued together. I take it back to the store, show them exactly how it was defective, get a replacement, everybody's happy. A week later, I go back to Walmart, and the very same figure is back on the pegs, the huge crack in plain sight.

Sometimes the retailer is to blame.

I found someone swapped out the Thanos BAF piece from Citizen V a few months back at Walmart and I told an associate and they didn’t care.  He is still sitting at full price on the shelves as of two days ago.
