More Pre-MCU Legends? Yes or No?
Cuckoos replied to Dabboi's topic in Marvel Legends Figure Discussion
Would love more MCU first. Especially side characters. But I would totally get a Jessica Alba IW just for the head. -
Wasp over pack really worked out for me. When she went on clearance for $10, I was able to pick up 20. Now I have a swarm for my own world. Plus the Evangeline head is amazing.

Costume Poll 7: Scarlet Witch

I'll get shunned, but would love MCU 90's sitcom Wanda. -
Toybiz: Nostalgia or actually good figures?
Cuckoos replied to Dabboi's topic in Marvel Legends Figure Discussion
I'm usually happy with newer lines, but only when they are better (with exceptions). I only got into Marvel with Legends, but my Star Wars experience was a roller coaster. I had the originals in the 80's and stupidly sold them for LEGO money. Then POTF2 came out and I went crazy. I hated the buff design, but lived with it. I recollected all the vintage figures but hated the low detail. When Hasbro made their modern lines, peaking with TVC, I was really happy with them. I totally ditched POTF2 (with exceptions) and the 80's vintage. Even though I should have nostalgia, I get that feeling even more with modern TVC design. But now Hasbro has the 6" SW line, but I don't collect it. Sure they are nicer characters, but the 3.75" SW line will always be better because of the vehicles and environments. 6" Marvel works pretty well because there aren't many vehicles to worry about. I really hope they can make some. The best I have are the Slam WWE vehicles. -
Of course I picked sweeping Cuckoos. 😃

Marvel Legends 6" Firestar And Ms. Lion Marvel Monday Reveal
Cuckoos replied to JayC's topic in Marvelous News's General Area
Sorry, I mean her mask/eyewear. It is likely glued on unfortunately. But I thought Spider-woman was glued too until I opened her up. None of the promo shots of her had them off. It was a great surprise.- 36 replies

I preordered on BBTS. I assume that the glasses are removable like they are with Spiderwoman.- 36 replies

I'm super impressed with Moria MacTaggert. She's perfect for city streets as well as laboratories. Two non-masked heads, removable coat via arms change. Tied for best figure since Stepford Cuckoos with retro Gwen Stacy. I have 10 on pre-order.

For me, I pretty much only want civilian figures. Figures like Netflix Jessica Jones, classic Gwen, business suit anyone, and Stepford Cuckoos are great examples. Even though I'm a big marvel fan (playing marvel puzzle quest 3+ hours a day for four years), I focus my collection on the civilian world as if they are not marvel. What I desperately want is police uniform 6" figures. No one makes these. You can get them in 12" and nothing else. You can get military figures in any scale. Also non-motorcycle vehicles that can fit 6" figures are nearly non existent. The only two vehicles that work are from the WWE line. RC and other toys that claim 1/12 scale are pretty small and you need 1/10 scale to properly use figures. I will end up making my own 3D printed figures and accessories once I have the equipment and time.

In my area, it has always been very hard to get figures at retail. My two Walmarts have failed me since 2009! Before then, they were an okay source, but they don't stock stuff and I'm now able to verify with brickseek, etc. Target is the only retailer now I can use since TRU is gone. I had to hit up my 4 locations frequently to find the nuggets. However, none of my locations got Red Hulk and they haven't put him online. So I'm frowning on that. I feel real lucky to have scooped Yelena since the rest of the wave was gone. She was my priority and at least in this case, the other scooper didn't care.

While the face sculpt is way better than the Winter Solider version, it is completely behind Infinity War and Endgame versions in my opinion. At least the $30 white deluxe version is very good. I had this and Yelena on Amazon pre-order and they were canceled with listings removed. Luckily, I found Yelena at Target, but BW was gone. There is a good chance I won't be able to pick this figure up.

Inventory still shows 0 in my area. The inner city price looks to be $36.59 when they do get it. I'm all in at $30, but I might be out if it was any higher.

There are some head sculpts with paint apps that are amazing. Black Widow Infinity War and The Wasp MCU. This Black Widow seems like she was well received and she looks just like Scarlett Johansson. The Wasp MCU pegged warm hard and I was surprised. The head sculpt and paint app alone that looks like Lilly Evangeline are worth $20. She peg warmed hard and I've gotten extras on clearance. I now have a small Wasp army. Other nice heads and figs worth noting are Jessica Jones Netflix, Punisher Netflix, Scarlet Witch TRU, Peggy Carter, Captain Marvel MCUs, Nick Fury (Cpt Marvel), Mary Jane Homecoming, Luis from The Wasp. I'm really disappointed that the Black Widow movie figures don't have that MCU shine and are comic book styled. Did Black Widow Infinity War cause a backlash that I'm unaware of? Why downgrade the MCU sculpting and paint app that was so good? Other figures I love outside of MCU are Nico Minoru, Elsa Bloodstone, White Rabbit, and Stepford Cuckoos. Collectively, these figures listed have drawn me into Marvel figures.
