  1. I mean, it sucks but honestly I feel like that's about what I average paying for them anyway. Like I'm seeing others say, I'm really not surprised and 22.99 always felt like a placeholder pprice. Still,, Legends are the only toyline I collect and they're cheaper than anything else I'm interested in outside Marvel comics. Thank God I'm not a completionist, I just get who I like or have a personal attachment too.
  2. I'm sure that's the long game. They'll likely do a release of this without all the extras and give it a shield that doesn't have the holes in it. Iron Man is a joke, Hulk has one of the stupidest headsculpts I've ever seen (them sideburns...oof.) Hasbro's choices for so many figures lately have me losing interest in what was once my favorite line. It feels scummy the way they've used the fandom to double dip on figures so many times.
  3. I have this on preorder and I'm excited to get him but it still turns my stomach to think how much he costs. There's nothing in this that tells me it's worth this much. Sure, we get some effects but the electricity makes no sense for Cap, the swoop piece is ok and the bullet pings are neat but it still pisses me off they compromised the integrity of the shield for those. The holes will make displaying him annoying unless we get a fan fix. Also the stand will probably end up bent up in a drawer somewhere. Regardless, I love the headsculpts and this will always be my favorite look for Steve.
  4. I'm not super interested in the race aspect of Sam's book since I think his merits came from the man he is, not really his skin color. I still might give it a shot but it does smell of mcu tie-in. As for Steve, I'm looking forward to it but I'm also a little apprehensive since I'm unfamiliar with the talent involved.
  5. No question for me on picking up a Knull and Venom 2 pack. Im curious about 90s Spidey as I missed out on the retro figure and need a classic Spider-man.
  6. That Moondragon mock-up makes me realize just how much I would love to see it done. That's the definite pick for me.
  7. Personally I wouldn't consider this good news. Jr's style does absolutely nothing for me and I usually prefer stylized artists vs photo realistic ones. Glad hes still getting work though, I know a lot of folks love him.
  8. I don't really know what to say that Hasbro couldn't get this figure right. It's an all white character with some black lines, how hard is that? Where's his signature diamond insignia on his chest? Why is there gray on him? I get that they're trying to break up the color but come on guys, just do those lines, that's all the break up needed. Also, that cape needs to go in the garbage pile. Its outdated and was crap when they first started using it let alone now. I might have been interested if this were done a little better but as it stands it'll be an easy pass.
  9. That Loki is the worst case of the bunch. They give you a new headsculpt and a couple daggers...yay? Falcon should definitely be the classic, there's no excuse for this one other than hoping we'll buy it in the mean time. That price is insane and I hope that letter is full of rage.
  10. I wish this was what had come in the 3 pack. I want to take a stand and cancel my preorder of this but my ocd won't let me since imo those colors elevate the figure so much. I do have to say, Hasbro's techniques for making us want to buy the same exact figure more than once are both clever and diabolic. I would still kill for a cut right above the waistline for some added articulation.
  11. All of this is absolutely correct. I can't agree more that there should be a standard amount of articulation regardless of how big or small the character. If 80th Hulk can have all that why can't the others?
  12. I wish they would use a bigger body as well. I love that the Sunfire buck has the butterfly joint which makes flight poses an absolute thrill but Sam is a big guy. Sal always drew Falc and Cap the same size which made Sam all the more imposing even in the bird gear. I hope they get it right when the time comes but I expect the same exact figure with just an old school paint app and maybe a redwing slapped in there but I don't have high hopes for that either.
  13. Falcon and Venom for me. Now if we could get a legend in the same vein as that Falcon I'll shut up.
  14. Nothing much here that I'm looking for but it was nice to see some more of Zemo. I look forward to paying double his cost on ebay (sarcasm.) Everything else looks great to me except the hair choice on Hulk, that just looks weird to me.
  15. Has anyone tried putting the recent Red Skull releases heads on Hammerhead? I'm seriously considering getting him just to do that for a street style, business Skull like in the Gruenwald/Brubaker runs and I'm curious if they're compatible. EDIT: Just saw it hasn't released yet. My bad.
  16. I passed on this one to hold out for his classic 70s outfit. I really hope I made the right call and it doesn't take years to get him.
  17. Absolutely, the face sculpts have been phenomenal. The Sue Storm in the Walgreens wave is legitimately beautiful so I can almost look the new one over. I agree about the "its good enough" sentiment. I'm not sure if it was the Toybiz days that brought that on or what but it does usually seem half-hearted. It just blows my mind that new lines like Classified and Lightning Collection have already done more for their female characters than Marvel.
  18. Yeah, they're definitely taking baby steps forward instead of making strides but at least they're slowly getting there. I absolutely agree that this buck is great but it isn't going to fit every character. We need some variation and I really hope they figure that out. As you say, it's been 20 years and they still haven't quite gotten the ladies right. I really hope we get a waist swivel one of these days. There has to be a way to make that happen.
  19. Seeing these photos has me rethinking this figure. I think I need her to go with my Venom and Carnage figures. This is a step in the right direction regarding the female figures.
  20. I'm not crazy about the colors on the claws and toenails but otherwise this is a really cool looking figure. I'm really tempted.
  21. Couldn't agree more on what they should be capable of and they really have made some serious strides in the past few years. That said, that applies mostly to the male characters. The ladies are way behind. And absolutely, they do need to differentiate the different body types. The Moonstone buck had me in high hopes but that seems to be where they stopped advancing.
  22. That sounds rough but it's still probably cheaper than what he'll run on ebay. I'm really hoping the exclusive Zemo will pop up similarly but not getting my hopes up.
  23. Do the pinless elbows help with the shape? To me the arms are one of my biggest complaints on the female buck as it makes the joint look so awkward. Also, it's time for a waist joint. I know it's a lot different due to a lot Marvel ladies having basically a painted body and no gear since it's simulated tights but Lady Jaye from the GI Joe line blows away any Marvel female in my collection except maybe Warbird but that's more a body type thing. Jaye just came out this year, the Legends have been around for a lot longer. That should not be the case.
