  1. All of this is absolutely correct. I can't agree more that there should be a standard amount of articulation regardless of how big or small the character. If 80th Hulk can have all that why can't the others?
  2. I wish they would use a bigger body as well. I love that the Sunfire buck has the butterfly joint which makes flight poses an absolute thrill but Sam is a big guy. Sal always drew Falc and Cap the same size which made Sam all the more imposing even in the bird gear. I hope they get it right when the time comes but I expect the same exact figure with just an old school paint app and maybe a redwing slapped in there but I don't have high hopes for that either.
  3. Falcon and Venom for me. Now if we could get a legend in the same vein as that Falcon I'll shut up.
  4. Nothing much here that I'm looking for but it was nice to see some more of Zemo. I look forward to paying double his cost on ebay (sarcasm.) Everything else looks great to me except the hair choice on Hulk, that just looks weird to me.
  5. Has anyone tried putting the recent Red Skull releases heads on Hammerhead? I'm seriously considering getting him just to do that for a street style, business Skull like in the Gruenwald/Brubaker runs and I'm curious if they're compatible. EDIT: Just saw it hasn't released yet. My bad.
  6. I passed on this one to hold out for his classic 70s outfit. I really hope I made the right call and it doesn't take years to get him.
  7. Absolutely, the face sculpts have been phenomenal. The Sue Storm in the Walgreens wave is legitimately beautiful so I can almost look the new one over. I agree about the "its good enough" sentiment. I'm not sure if it was the Toybiz days that brought that on or what but it does usually seem half-hearted. It just blows my mind that new lines like Classified and Lightning Collection have already done more for their female characters than Marvel.
  8. Yeah, they're definitely taking baby steps forward instead of making strides but at least they're slowly getting there. I absolutely agree that this buck is great but it isn't going to fit every character. We need some variation and I really hope they figure that out. As you say, it's been 20 years and they still haven't quite gotten the ladies right. I really hope we get a waist swivel one of these days. There has to be a way to make that happen.
  9. Seeing these photos has me rethinking this figure. I think I need her to go with my Venom and Carnage figures. This is a step in the right direction regarding the female figures.
  10. I'm not crazy about the colors on the claws and toenails but otherwise this is a really cool looking figure. I'm really tempted.
  11. Couldn't agree more on what they should be capable of and they really have made some serious strides in the past few years. That said, that applies mostly to the male characters. The ladies are way behind. And absolutely, they do need to differentiate the different body types. The Moonstone buck had me in high hopes but that seems to be where they stopped advancing.
  12. That sounds rough but it's still probably cheaper than what he'll run on ebay. I'm really hoping the exclusive Zemo will pop up similarly but not getting my hopes up.
  13. Do the pinless elbows help with the shape? To me the arms are one of my biggest complaints on the female buck as it makes the joint look so awkward. Also, it's time for a waist joint. I know it's a lot different due to a lot Marvel ladies having basically a painted body and no gear since it's simulated tights but Lady Jaye from the GI Joe line blows away any Marvel female in my collection except maybe Warbird but that's more a body type thing. Jaye just came out this year, the Legends have been around for a lot longer. That should not be the case.
  14. This looks fantastic (pun intended.) It does call to attention how pitiful the female buck is though. I don't necessarily need a ton of articulation but the joints and limbs just look so janky still. There has to be something better they can do.
  15. So they gave this one a beam effect with fricking hamburgers but a simple beam for the original release wasn't cost effective. Makes sense to me.
  16. I got my pre-orders in for Captain America and Scarlet Witch. Now if I can nab Zemo I'll be all set (yeah right.) I would definitely buy a white Vision since I love the character and try to get all his versions but this one just looks like crap. I don't know why they did all the weird coloring on this figure but it doesn't work. Sadly that one is a pass.
  17. I'm super stoked for Cap and Wanda. Zemo pisses me off because he's a must have in that costume but I'll have to pay ebay prices since they went exclusive. Thanks Hasbro.
  18. I really hope we get some sort of classic Spidey. I know we just got the retro version but I can't afford the big price he's up to and I need a good Spidey to go with Venom and Carnage.
  19. I'm just hoping to see some more comic figures. Even if there are only a few reveals that are completely new, it would be nice to have more of those.
  20. Wow. You know things are good when one of the executives of the company tells you to lower expectations. Luckily all I have for Hasbro is low expectations but that's my view on most things in life, not just them.
  21. I stick to Captain America's allies and villains and the Avengers that I feel are the most iconic to me personally as well as the villains associated with them. I do have the FF from Walgreens and a Venom and Carnage, both sets for sentimental reasons.
  22. Absolutely. Any and all figures should get the same level of detail and attention as any other figure. None of that matters. These are all products and each one should be approached with the highest quality and attention to detail. Just because Namor has been in more comics and had a more regarded legacy doesn't mean a figure of him should be dealt with any differently as it is product someone will purchase. And bottom line, somewhere out there is a person who loves Tigra and considers her their favorite character and that person deserves just as good a product as the fan of Namor or any A-list character.
