  1. I'm just hoping to see some more comic figures. Even if there are only a few reveals that are completely new, it would be nice to have more of those.
  2. Wow. You know things are good when one of the executives of the company tells you to lower expectations. Luckily all I have for Hasbro is low expectations but that's my view on most things in life, not just them.
  3. I stick to Captain America's allies and villains and the Avengers that I feel are the most iconic to me personally as well as the villains associated with them. I do have the FF from Walgreens and a Venom and Carnage, both sets for sentimental reasons.
  4. Absolutely. Any and all figures should get the same level of detail and attention as any other figure. None of that matters. These are all products and each one should be approached with the highest quality and attention to detail. Just because Namor has been in more comics and had a more regarded legacy doesn't mean a figure of him should be dealt with any differently as it is product someone will purchase. And bottom line, somewhere out there is a person who loves Tigra and considers her their favorite character and that person deserves just as good a product as the fan of Namor or any A-list character.
  5. I don't really care for the design of this figure myself but if they did this color tones like the Monster Venom (Eddie version) and a proper head sculpt then they'd get my money for sure. I love this body mold and a proper blue/black with a more comic oriented head would be outstanding. Even if it's just shiny black I would still be all over a comic version on this buck.
  6. I'm not into the MCU but thought this casting was interesting. He's good at playing annoying characters (Chronicles of Narnia/Midsommer) but he's decent at serious acting as well (Maze Runner/Midsommer.) If nothing else he'll at least have an interesting look.
  7. I'm to the point that I have my personal most iconic looks for each character. I won't be buying anyone again unless it's a huge improvement over what we already have. Pinless doesn't make or break it for me but if it's a vastly superior mold or something, I'd consider.
  8. This was the first thing I thought of when he was first announced. And yes, we need an updated Wrecking Crew and a Mr. Hyde from this design. Goliath is a figure I really hope we see someday.
  9. I always thought Hynde or Joan Jett were likely inspirations for her design/characterization. I'm not sure what upper body they're reusing here but it just doesn't work not only because it doesn't fit the character but also, it looks like the top of some sort of bustier at the top while the bottom is a ripped t-shirt. What even is this? Pair that with the fact they shoved her in a senseless box set despite the fan outcry for her and yet again Hasbro's decisions leave me scratching my head.
  10. I'm so stoked for this figure. This is Hercules to me, especially with the smiling head sculpt. They really nailed this piece all around.
  11. I'm not seeing it. I even zoomed in and to me it just looks like paint. The teeth are sculpted but everything else looks flat with no edges.
  12. I'm going to be my usual self and say this is a crap release. I'm sorry but the color looks like someone with a severe sunburn and in no way feels like someone covered in fur. The headsculpts look awful, especially the way they did her hair and her eyes look very slanted. Also, how hard would it have been to sculpt her top and bottom? I know it's probably cheaper to paint those on but as bare as she looks, they really needed to do something to break her line. Worst of all, is there's a female who needed more articulation, I don't know who it is. Hasbro has got to get the ladies reworked. The Power Rangers females have better range than this, can we not borrow from that? Come on guys.
  13. Wow...The one female character who benefits from the smaller bust mold and they chose this? Hasbro works in mysterious ways.
  14. I think it would work perfect for Red Ghost who is a villain I would love to see get a figure. I'm with Emnems80 though, they really need to work on those elbows. I love the mold overall but man, if you don't bend those elbows it looks really awkward.
  15. This is almost a perfect Sandman but that alternate head is just weird. The facial expression and the weird "O" shape make no sense. Honestly they should have foregone the alternate head and had a sand effect for the legs. That would probably be too costly though.
  16. I still say that base, at least the cardboard, is going to be part of the packaging. As for the nuts and bolts of who has more I still see it as more plastic overall with Widow and that's what drives the price home for me. That's exactly my thinking.
  17. Haha! That's a really good point. Quicksilver is literally Namors head slapped on another body. And the retro Vision isn't much better than the Toybiz. How hard can it be. They're mad, absolutely mad.
  18. The problem with that survey was the higher price tag was for Deluxe figures, not just standard releases, and it was $30. There is nothing deluxe here. Black Widow was a deluxe that was $30 at release and includes multiple hands, weapons, blast effects, a big explosion effect and a fricking plastic stand with a base. So not only are they giving us less but they're charging more. I'm right with you. They haven't put any extra effort in here aside from the head sculpts and the postcard which I would almost bet money is somehow part of the packaging. There's nothing here to justify an extra $8 worth. Despite my grumbling I plan on getting it, but it's people like me they know they can exploit. They're doing this on purpose and not even trying to justify it. And I still can't get over the fact they finally give us an appropriate shield and they put holes in it. I just don't get this company's decisions.
  19. Don't give me that. They charged $25 for the 80th figures when a regular release was $20. The price increase for inflation was $3 so shouldn't this be $28, not $31? This has a few more accessories, a piece of cardboard, a tiny base and no baf part. Inflation has jack to do with it. Hasbro's pricing has always been up in the air. It's the same for retro carded figures that come with barely anything yet still cost the same amount as a standard release. Hell, the con exclusive Venom was $31 and he comes with less than this. Was that inflation too? A little extra paint and exclusivity doesn't constitute that price. They want profit and to get the amount they need/want they're going to up that charge. I find it very interesting when a figure with this level of fan demand is this much more expensive.
  20. The answer is nostalgia. They know good and well that majority want this Cap and this color scheme. The only reason it's more is because thats what they want to charge.
  21. I don't see them doing Hulk and not using the 80th body mold. I may be off but I'm thinking he'll be a similar figure with the darker skin tone like the one from that first wave. So I finally got a chance to watch this video. Like most folks I'm not too pleased about the price point. That's a big price tag but what can you do? At least it comes with a lot of stuff. My biggest complaint is that shield. I love the colors but thanks to the accessories those big holes are going to be there. I display my figures more museum style and it's going to look dumb without the effects. Thankfully I have other shields I can try. Also, that electricity effect does nothing for me. Aside from filling those holes, it really doesn't make much sense as an effect to me. At least it's something I guess. Overall though, I can't wait. This is the ideal comic book Cap for me.
  22. Holy cow! This is beyond awesome! This is the Cap I've wanted since the 80th was first announced. Beautiful!
  23. I love the Venom and Carnage characters but it's kind of easy to take number one when there isn't much else in the theater, let alone much worth seeing.
