Right. I guess it's all in the eye of the beholder. If they talk Giant Man, I might start caring more, lol.

Marvel Legends Monday - May
sentinelofliberty41 replied to JayC's topic in Marvelous News's General Area
I'm guessing but surely the recently revealed Hercules figure is going to be in one of these waves. I really hope we get more comic figure reveals. -
I honestly can't imagine. The amount of money about to trade hands is probably going to be staggering.

I could see that just knowing how the market works.

I guess that's true. I bought (and later sold) a few of Hot Toys Predator figures that come with tons of accessories and lights and they cost around 200-250. Oh wow, that's cool! And yeah, to me the ideal Sentinel display would be at least 2 or 3 and the MU one worked especially for that. I personally don't need the scale of the Haslab but I guess the people who can afford it are going to be super excited to have something that huge in their collection.

I don't know. It does have all the bells and whistles but that price tag is still kinda nuts to me. Maybe if I liked the X-Books more I'd understand.

That's what he was meant to be, I mean, Hitler himself taught the guy everything he knows. I don't expect him to wear a swastika since that would cause the world to implode but it would be nice to have a red band instead of yellow. That's why I plan to paint it. When I think Hydra, I think Strucker, not Skull.

I know this thing is enormous but anyone else feel like other than size this thing isn't anything special? Maybe it's different in motion or in person but to me it's not that much more impressive than the 12 inch legends that all went to clearance a good while back. It's cool that it has accessories and finger articulation but I just don't see anything that screams for that high price tag.

Marvel Asks, Who Is Somnus?

Marvel Asks, Who Is Somnus?
sentinelofliberty41 replied to JayC's topic in Marvelous News's General Area
Is this going to be another one of those characters that has been a character for years but no one remembers him? Ala Sentry? Judging from his design he might be one that should have stayed forgotten. -
I hate to whip a dead horse but man Hood looks awful. I've never liked the character so it doesn't affect me but shew. Surely something better could have been molded? Arcade looks good but something about it is off that I can't quite put my finger on. Drathstrike looks great but personally I'd have to paint those nails a flesh tone. I don't ever remember her with silver claws but I'm not an X-fan. I don't care enough about Supreme Scientist but he looks fine. Dormammu looked better in promos but again, looks fine. Doom is a lazy reuse of the Super Skrull Doom. Useless for my collection. I'm extremely excited about Red Skull but the elbows are janky. It's still a must for me though. I've never read anything with Xenmu in it. While I suspect it's a good figure, surely there were more desirable bafs they could have done.

The Trial That Threatens To Divide Mutantkind
sentinelofliberty41 replied to JayC's topic in Marvelous News's General Area
Better than looking at his ugly interiors. -
I don't really think anything in this wave is rushed, just some of it poorly executed. But it's no worse than any other wave, not every figure can be perfect. For me the Hood is the obvious problem child in this wave as he just feels like a mess but there is a positive with him in the cool effects on his handguns.

More Pre-MCU Legends? Yes or No?
sentinelofliberty41 replied to Dabboi's topic in Marvel Legends Figure Discussion
You had me up to Nightman. I remember watching it but I don't know if I'd need a figure. Now maybe a MANTIS or Black Scorpion. -
I'm the exact opposite and would love to see the Avengers 2012 costume done right as that's the closest we ever got to his comic appearance and it looked great in motion. I do agree with you though and would also like a good WWII costume figure. SIDENOTE: I have the crappy Endgame re-release everyone is talking about and it leaves a LOT to be desired. I don't really go for movie figures but that would an update to that thing would get me very interested.

Red Skull is the only figure in this I have pre-ordered. I do have to say that his elbow joints don't look as bad in this image as they did the shots from the initial announcement but it's hard to tell since both elbows are bent in this image. I'm definitely painting that armband red and may swap the head with the one from the Winter Soldier wave. Definitely excited for that figure.
