cyborg/ cosmic hulk and Smart hulk

Wait wait wait a retro carded hulk wave that would require a lot if not all new sculpting and are "deluxe" sizes but in one wave? In this day of age I would be flabergasted (and court me in!)

I was hoping for a lot more when I heard of this line. Doc Sampson, Gargoyle, U Foes, Rick Jones or Abomb, a crazier lookin Leader, Harpy, ect.

I've been asking for a Doc Sampson and an Abomb for far too long, and Doc Sampson would be so easy for them to do.

I'm actually surprised at myself, with how easily I passed on the Juggernaut. (One of my favorite characters) Too cartoony of a face for my liking. I get that he looks just like the game, but I don't really have any investment in it. Overall, he looks cool, but I really like the baf and two pack versions of him. Anymore, redone figures really are gonna need to be head and shoulders better than the previous ones. Between prices, life, and the sheer amount of lackluster redos last year, I'm a bit burnt out on them. I pre-ordered the Secret Wars figures and felt nothing when they arrived, same with Agent Venom. I convinced myself they would be so much better, but they aren't enough to justify the buy.

I am the opposite here, I do believe this new juggs is leaps better than the last offerings. Also, it helps that I passed on the BAF and the 2-pack, holding out for when Hasbro improves their articulation scheme, and here it is, 6 years later. However, I will say that this looks way better in vanilla poses than I thought it would, and secondly, the elbow and knee articulation is worrying. The more I look at it, the more I notice that the range of motion looks the same as the older one. Not very pleased about that, but I preordered this and luckily had a coupon for $10 off. To me is worth the MAXIUM-deluxe price tag.

My brother. They couldn't get Marvel Girl's X-Factor boots painted on. At ALL.

I shudder to think what kind of slip-shod work would go thru for Jack of Hearts.

LOL  ok I had to get that out there. IF they did him right he'd go great in an Iron Man wave; maybe the Space Armor, include Sunturion, Crimson Dynamo, Vanguard, Vostok, Darkstar but he MUST have his classic outfit.

Jack of hearts in a Iron Man could work and correct if I'm wrong but isn't there an unspecified Iron Man wave in one of the leaks (can't remember if it was Jay's or DMB or somebody else) and if that is the case I don't see why not as he is very needed.

Thinking about Jack of Hearts just makes me want an In-betweener so much more idky every time I think of Jack I think of my guy In-betweener.

More I look at his pics more it seems like the sculpt originally intended to have a reverse ab crunch, I cannot explain why else they would sculpt his abs this way.

Probably they realized that it would be cheaper to give this figure better ball joint torso range, which (maybe) means they are finally starting to figure out how properly implement ball joints.

    Screen-Shot-2025-06-24-at-06-28-52.png

Im having some belief perserverance rn, like IK they did not include a reverse crunch but damn man this makes it look as so especially with the way it curves up, it was giving me fits just looking at it. And the day Hasbro will figure out ball joint would be a bad, bad time for my money, like they don't have to reinvent the wheel, they have done so successfully with the Spider-Man India, electro (NWH), and even shown to do so with the torso ball in some others like in ROM and some spidermans. Then they can finally share their technique with the GI Joe and their minimal ball joint range.

also while we are at it, this is the size chart of the comic versions of them, where Juggernaut is over a foot taller then Hulk

    gamerverse-juggernaut-is-the-right-size-v0-62aaal5ubr8f1.webp

I am fine with Juggs being larger than Hulk, as long as it's not by ridiculous amounts, which, in this case, I think it works. And when it comes to comic and proportions and size it's such a variable from artist to artist, to where it's rarely consistent. The only thing to rectify people's complaints is for Hasbro to finally give us a maximum updated deluxe type of Hulk! Oh wait...Now that they have been leaning into larger characters like Gameverse Venom this juggs Shuma etc it's time for an appropriately scaled Abomination and Sasquatch.

Without a doubt it's a legitimate improvement, great sculpt and better articulation, however, it's still nowhere near Marvel Select level when it comes to detail work and paint, there's traditional shiny plastic syndrome, I'm also not so sure they couldn't give him reverse ab crunch and considering how elongated his arms are they probably could include double joints that could do better than 90 degree.

One thing for certain is that DS paint apps were honestly unmatched, and their sculpt work is usually spectacular. If ML had included a reverse crunch on the juggs (which they certainly could have done, and honestly, I thought they did because his design looked like the perfect setup for one without being ugly), it would have put this guy way over the top. Not mad that it doesn't have it, but it was feasible. My biggest gripe is that the legs, will the knees be able to hit at least a 90-degree bend? That's worrying considering how they framed their shots and poses of it.

I do think that Gargantos initially won't be a hot seller but it will sell if (or when) it goes on sale close to $40-50 range, and then migrate to secondary market to $100+ slowly becoming new ML grail akin to Dragon Man.

Can defintely see that trend occurring, considering the obscurity and massiveness of both figures (and Shuma's price, which is great but this isn't some A-lister). But in the forums and around the net, he seems to be very popular, idk if that's the echo chamber quality of the forums and communities themselves so to me it's difficult to decipher whether Shuma will be a great seller or not. Because at times forums and communities can be predictors and at times indicative of market trends, but that in of itself doesn't make the info accurate.

If quasi-futuristic barbarians are considered, then Killraven would be a great choice too.....

It would be fantastic now if somebody could produce a Warlord, John Carter, Kull, Slaine, Turok Son of Stone, Killraven, and Arkon to round out my barbarian-esque collection would be complete. So far, I only have a definitive Conan—long, long way to go.

I was telling myself I will contribute to this, but man, a 100 most wanted figure list seems almost daunting haha. One day, one day...

Anyone willing to go through what's new on Sauron other than paint and the effects? I need a bright spot here.

Of course our fears came true with a baf most of us that wanted got already.  If it were just Brainchild, or a regular sized figure, the price would be lower and most of us would be happy to have three new figures. I would have rather they put that SL Prof X in there in place of Sauron. I overpaid for that Sauron BAF on ebay, cause I didn't want anything in that wave, now I might get him again? Idk if I can justify it.

Well, other than the improved paint apps and effects, his legs are completely new, as the old ones had ball-jointed hips and pins. Also, the new skirt piece is longer and has a more retro style, as the older ones had attachments on the side, like a belt. Now, doubling back the neck is 100% new; it's not as ugly or wide as the baf. And wow, the eyes on this 3-pack one just pop. The old one still holds up very nicely, but this one is surely an upgrade. Still not going to buy this 3 pack though.

It might be fine, but seriously... they've been doing double jointed elbows for a long time, and "breaking up the sculpt" wasn't an issue. Another thing, swapping out arms and such shouldn't be necessary for the consumer (in other words, fixing ); you're spending a lot of money for these figures already.

Let's be honest here: hasbo will do this figure again down the road, only with all the improvements it should have already had  lol. Different shades of paint next time around.

And add some tie joints and give it the astonishing wolvie arms, and we've got ourselves a maximum wolverine for 50! Maybe then Hasbro would give Wolverine back his boot swivel...
