  1. 100% agreed. There’s a decent chunk of collectors who want to fill out their collections, so for them, knowing there are only so many waves, it’s a disappointment, which I get. But there are new collectors every day who Hasbro also has to cater to, and frankly if Hasbro wants to keep these new collectors they have to give them a reason to get sucked in, and that’s not going to be some obscure character
  2. There’s a lot about this I find very interesting. It feels like a goof up on Amazon’s part that this is up for preorder. Also, it’s a “bestseller” on the site, which tells you all you need to know about the impact of FOMO on the Legends collector community, and how large said community truly is, because no casual fan is buying this without knowing what it is.
  3. With us getting an Infinity Gauntlet Thanos and this year being the 30 year anniversary, is there any hope of a comic based wave based on the series? How cool would a wave of classic Adam Warlock, Dr. Strange, Mephisto, Death, Nebula, Silver Surfer and Starfox be? The BAF could be a classic Drax! Probably not going to happen, but I can hope, right?
  4. Why did he have to put that head on the Jim Lee Xavier! I had no interest in this figure until seeing that. Still, $20 for an alternative head is probably not worth it, but I’ll definitely be looking for it on eBay or if it peg-warms and ultimately gets discounted at my local Target
  5. To be clear, I’m not saying anyone here needs to like Hasbro for making some of these design decisions. But I kind of expect that will be the case for some of the characters I want, which keeps me from being pissed when it inevitably happens. And since I’m not willing to pay top dollar for Hot Toys or Mezco, I accept the situation for what it is (i.e., less than perfect).
  6. Don’t get me wrong, as a fan and collector, I wish they would do the top characters perfectly. But I also understand Hasbro isn’t running a charity. Not every figure will be top notch a la Doom or Maverick, at least not without raising the price. So yes, there are some figures they skimp on, and it’s not going to be Rock Python every time because nobody would buy that. But doll up Maverick and throw in a Strong Guy BAF piece and people will buy that up a lot faster, and the top characters like Jean many people will buy regardless of what they look like. So yes, as a collector it sucks, but at
  7. I’m sure my opinion on this isn’t going to be popular on this board, but I don’t really fault Hasbro too much for what they put out. This figure doesn’t interest me for a lot of the same reasons you mention, but I think at $20, it’s unfair to expect every figure to be perfect. In hindsight, Marvel Legends have come a long way, but not every figure has the same profit margin for Hasbro. A lot of the feedback about reused molds and needing alternative heads misses this point. I’m guessing Hasbro nets more making this Jean than they did making Dr. Doom, and if every figure had the Dr. Doom-type q
  8. I’m probably wrong about this, but my guess is the etailers are feeling the COVID economic pinch a bit and the price hike may be on their end, not Hasbro
