  1. Not sure the color lines up with anyone we know is coming but isn't revealed yet off the top of my head- maybe one of the two other slots in the retro FF wave? My hope is a Riders series classic Hawkeye with a Skycycle
  2. Nope, I still don't have a Silk after she sold out so quickly. It's why I'm super apathetic to whether they do this again; its not like I'll be able to get the winner anyway.
  3. Maybe the fact that I'm not watching the show colors it, but I'm not feeling the figure. Especially not with the way her arm articulation is being sacrificed for the cape sculpt. I'll end up with her if she's part of that What If wave, I'm sure, but it doesn't move me as is.
  4. I like seeing Blonsky growing some more classic comic ears. They're absolutely just going to rerelease that Gamerverse BAF with a new head soon.
  5. Dormammu is a strong pick for this. Feels similar in set up to the original Annihilation Wave (as an absurdly powerful army from another universe/dimension) while distinct enough in skill sets and style to not feel like a rehash. Excited to see this one play out, I love me some Marvel Cosmic.
  6. I've read every issue of the book so far and I'm still pulling it like a chump. The thing thats so frustrating about the book is that not everything sucks; if it did, it'd be easy to write off like Bendis GotG. The run has had some neat ideas. The flashbacks to the prehistoric "Avengers" team are fun. The Vampire war and Age of Khonshu was a neat concept, Heroes Reborn is distanced from mainline Marvel in a cool way as a one-off arc. But even when he's pitching great ideas, his awful character writing, garbage continuity, and poor execution leave it middling at best. And his She-Hulk has been the weakest element of the book by a longshot- so while I can't speak to this story itself until September when I end up reading it, my expectations are extremely low.
  7. This sounds like Superior 2, and after we just got done getting Spider-Man back on track. Modern Ben Reilly sucks.
  8. I will defend modern comics until I'm blue in the face with the amount of hot takes people who don't read them like to throw around. Aaron's Avengers is an exception. This looks downright embarrassing. Aaron is terrible. Please let someone else take this book.
  9. That's a pretty rough line up of writers. At least I dig a decent amount of Zen Wells stuff. After how great Spencer's era has been, I had much higher hopes
  10. I'd love to see a new mold for this suit. I'd probably put it beneath the Pentagon/Pre-Extremis Armor, Extremis remold, and Superior suit personally, but this one needs an upgrade badly. Hopefully Iron Man waves start becoming a regular thing.
  11. These figures are a bit too pricey and finnicky looking for me, but I respect how dynamic they can look. I really dug this Marvel Now 'Pool design, so it's always neat to see it get new releases. I think the general aesthetic for the line looks a bit better for the classic suit though.
  12. Rhino seems like a homerun. Give him a different classic head and throw him on a Retro card, people will go nuts. I think Lizard was a bad figure and needs a brand new mold, so they'll probably just settle for rereleasing that too, maybe with a classic head.
  13. Just trading places with Ewing, then? Interesting; I love Cates, but Immortal Hulk is gonna be a hell of a run to follow, I don't envy the position.
  14. I'm disappointed Cates run is already over, but I'll buy anything Ewing writes. Full faith in him to deliver.
  15. This whole wave is one of the most exciting line ups they've ever done IMO. The only misstep is The Hood's hood looks poorly implemented, and I never dig seeing Red Skull covered in Hydra logos (not that I'd expect or even want swastikas instead) Xemnu was such a fun character in Immortal Hulk, even if he's 90% just Wendigo again, I can't wait to build him anyway.
  16. I'm glad to see another character debut with Cyber, even if the mold choice may not be ideal. Also weird that this sounds like the last reveal, when we don't have a full waves worth yet, I've really enjoyed getting a new figure to look at each day this week.
  17. Omega Red feels like he isn't important enough to get such a minor repaint/reissue so soon, but I'm glad for anyone who felt like they missed the boat on the last release. It makes me hope this is a Retro wave though, between him and the Shirtless Wolverine, that's two I'd prefer to skip out on, so hopefully not a BAF wave.
  18. Honestly, I'd be okay with McFarlane if we had to choose someone other than Hasbro- their DC and recent game figures are amazing and well above the junk companies like Mattel was putting out in the same franchises before them. I only wish they were an inch shorter.
  19. I desperately want a Legends equivalent line for Capcom properties as a whole. Street Fighter gets decent treatment, but we're sorely lacking figures for Resident Evil, Mega Man, Devil May Cry, Darkstalkers, Dead Rising, and all the deep cuts in their library, and I'd love a line that can scale well for a Marvel vs. Capcom shelf.
  20. Conversely, I thought Falcon and the Winter Soldier was one of the best written and produced pieces of content to come out of the entire MCU so far, and would love to see this team do more - I'd just rather have it as a second season instead of a film, I think comics translates better that way.
  21. The reveals of the rest of his team in that Iron Man wave have made him a much hotter commodity than he was just a couple months ago. I picked mine up from an LCS for $9 like two months ago just to have because I'd like to get the whole Future Fight roster on my shelf one day, and it's kinda nuts how quickly the price has changed overnight. Maybe they'll get around to doing his older Vanguard design just to get another take on the character out one day.
  22. Ah good, the first step on the road to whatever dark marketing must be done to bring back beloved character NFL Superpro.
  23. At this point they might, but for what it's worth, Dorkside has it up now with their $6 flat shipping fee.
  24. The original Nick Fury is still the new Watcher, and Uatu only just came back during Empyre. Honestly just in terms of repercussions, Original Sin was probably the most impactful of anything Marvel's done in years between that, Thor and Silk. It also had Steve learning what the Illuminati were up to so it was pretty relevant on the road to Secret Wars.
  25. Was able to preorder from EE now that they have it listed too. They charge too much for shipping imo, but it certainly beats the $100-200 on eBay. Interestingly, BBTS has removed the product page, and even changed the Diamond Select pictures on the front page to remove it. Very weird.
